Good, Cheap, Takeout. My boyfriend and I regularly get the lunch combo meals, and it's more than enough for the two of us (usually even for leftover's) and if memory serves me, they're all around $6!!!
What I have eaten I've loved--especially their hot&sour soup, this restaurant makes my favorite!!! (But don't get their cold sesame noodles, it came in a dish and it was a strata of plain noodles, peanut butter, and oils/spices, and tasted awful even when mixed together).
The interior of the restaurant is pretty run-down (the water came from a Gatorade cooler and little Styrofoam cups), but since it's more of a take-out sort of thing, that's okay.
My favorite rangoons anywhere. So good!
affordable.
fast delivery.
the very best rangoons and such quality product in all of their food. the beef broco has such great freshness to it.
Decent. Rice Kitchen is a pretty average Chinese restaurant. Not outstanding, but not horrible. You can do worse in Lansing.
Nice, fast place. For fast-food Chinese, you can't do much better than Rice Kitchen. Food ranges from medium to mouth-watering, with the basic fried rice being surprisingly good. Prices are cheap, service is quick, the dining area is simple and clean, and it's located right by some prime shopping. I try to stop by anytime I'm near.
Best Chinese in EL. Easily the best takeout chinese in east lansing. That being said, it's not spectacular. Everything's just kind of middle of the road and generic. It is the best in the areaa though.
The food is really good. The crab ragoon are pretty mediocre though. But I love that they deliver late when I get my late night craving.
Well! If you havenβt tried their dumplings, you are missing out! I have tried so many dumplings from far too much places, and this place is the best!! The owners are very nice, they explained to me that their dumplings are made in house fresh; I had to order a second plate π€€π€€
Looking for dinner or a late night meal? Gotta try out Rice Kitchen in East Lansing. Tried their Lamb, beef and squid skewers ππ»ππ»ππ». Their Spicy Shrimp fried rice and Yang Chow fried was excellent ππ»ππ». Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef ... super flavorful ππ»ππ». Donβt underestimate this little hole-in-the-wall dive. They pack flavor and the price is right. Open late too!
Bonus : locally owned by a super friendly family π
You wonβt find a better meal in EL than Rice Kitchen! Known for their quick made to order authentic Chinese dishes. Rice Kitchen will transport you on a magic carpet to flavortown!
The only legit Chinese BBQ place in central Michigan. Ask for their BBQ/skewer menu. I recommend their lamb skewers and Northeast-style dumplings.
Everything tasted fresh and my order was ready when I got there. The shrimp fried rice was bomb and they are not stingy with the shrimp either π. The General Tso had a nice little kick, not too hot. The egg rolls were like any other Chinese restaurant, the crab Rangoon were fresh and tasty. My only complaint is the sweet and sour chicken had more dough/ batter than chicken itself π but other than that I would definitely order from here again when visiting Lansing. Also, the owner and his wife are friendly and nice.
really great food for a late night, the crab rangoons were some of my favorites in a while! Really nice proportions for the price
The best food and always ready within 15-20min! I always went here and never was let down. Orange chicken with crab Rangoon and fried rice was the go-to definitely recommend! Always stop by whenever Iβm in East Lansing now
Decided to try something here and it was of good quality, the food was freshly made, good portions, standard price, the people there are kind, although it might take a bit for your order to be ready depending on how busy it is. I didn't mind the wait because this seems to be a small family run establishment. I definitely recommend trying something off their more traditional Chinese inspired menu instead of the run of the mill American Chinese stuff. I feel it's much more interesting and at least worth trying once if you didn't enjoy their standard menu items.
*First order was bad, but the owner did make right and provide new food*
Ordered takeout online around 11:45 pm. The order was manually confirmed and said to be ready in 10 minutes. Not believing that I arrived at 12:15 and still had to wait almost 20 more minutes. I'm thinking we'll at least it's fresh... I'm not sure anything was fresh...the chicken for both my General Tso and my husband's Orange was so crunchy and tough I couldn't finish my food. The taste was good, but there were pieces I couldn't even chew or cut with a fork and knife.
The crab Rangoon was okay and my husband said his fried dumplings were alright but even those tasted like they had been sitting around for awhile.
My son's scheszuan (spelling) shrimp tasted okay. But the shrimps texture was...weird and not good...
Overall. I would never order here again. Actually, I'm so mad that I spent over $60 and still hungry, that I'm on my way to return over half the food we ordered. We will see how they handle it to see if I change my review.
*Update* The gentleman, I'm assuming owner, wanted nothing to do with helping us at first. He did offer $20 dollar refund since some of the food was gone, but there was still two whole dishes left so he agreed to remake two of the chicken dishes. Those two dishes came back much better and so I will change my review to 4 stars since the owner did remake two of the dishes and they were good.
I loved the door dash. they filled the container to the brim and I got my stomach full for only 12 bucks. they had great food and taste too!
