We've been to the old location a few times pre-pandemic and happy to see Azerbaijan Grill in a bigger venue.
We dined in with a party of 6 and were warmly welcomed. We sat on the terrace level, spacious and airy.
They brought warm pita and yougurt sauce and it was really good. We also ordered hummus and it came beautifully arranged and tasteful.
I have the salmon kebab and it was juicy and well seasoned. It went so well with the brown rice and the grilled veg. We also asked for the green sauce. Perfect combo. We were all happy with our order...Jujeh, Barq, Grilled veg, Lamb kebob.
Ending dinner with Baklava and Persian tea. Would def be back again.
Great Persian food! Not really bland like what some reviews say, I must say that what we ordered were really tasty if I may say. We ordered Fish, Steak and Chicken and they all taste great. It was a bit of a wait though, like 20 minutes but the food was perfectly cooked, Salmon was done perfectly, not under or over cooked and the same with the rest. And they all tasted different. Some place they slather their meats with the same seasoning and then off to the grill, but here you can tell each meat was prepared individually.
The price is a little expensive but again, I can say it is priced accordingly with the quality of food.
Their white sauce though could use a hint of garlic but I guess its fine.
The place looks nice and clean and the wait staff is friendly and helpful.
As we wanted to try a new place, we found this gem restaurant and glad we decided to give it a shot. First, we were met by a warm welcome from the staff Mohammed and Melody who are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They have many varieties to select from. We ordered the salmon kebabs lunch special to go, and it was very flavorful tender and juicy. It also came with delicious saffron rice, grilled tomatoes and onions, pita bread and a salad. The dressings are yummy and we definitely will go back to try more items. Totally worth it if you are looking for healthy high quality nicely marinated Mediterranean food.
Fantastic Persian cuisine served by wonderful people.
I had a big family dinner and they were very accommodating which was nice. We all split some of the appetizer samplers which came with a lot. For dinner, we ordered a few meals to split. All of the kebab was fantastic. Flavorful, tender, and fresh. The sour chery rice had such a unique flavor, definitely a must try.
The best dish for me was the lamb shank. The meat was fall off the bone and bursting with flavor.
If you're looking for authentic Persian food, served by great people at a great price then you need to try here.
I've been going to this restaurant for YEARS! First time at the new East Meadow location.
Everything is perfect as usual and the atmosphere is so inviting. This location is much larger. I'll be back!
The sauce is supreme, the eggplant is tender, and the meat is juicy. What more do you need?

Fabulous surprise! From the decor, the food, friendly chef/owner, and service, it made my day, and all for $15.99. The absolute FRESHEST food with unique flavor that is truly authentic MADE FOR YOU WHILE YOU WAIT. The lentil soup was superb and sooooooooo tasty delicious. Everything was elegantly, super clean, which to me was "inviting." The staff was accommodat-
ing. The atmosphere made you feel as if you were in their country, especially with the cultural piano music on screen by an authentic artist from Iran. I will definitely return for dinner next time and can't wait to try something else. They explain every-thing to you, gladly and with enthusiasm. I wish them lots of luck in this new East Meadow location. I had tried their Persian ice cream when formerly on Old Country Rd. in Westbury which was spectacular, but I'm so happy I had their lunch special which has many items to choose from. I'll be bringing my friends with me so they, too, can enjoy what I experienced.
Solid Persian style restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive. I personally love the salmon kabob. It's always cooked perfectly. The homemade ice cream is served in cubes in a martini glass, lacks flavor. Parking is a challenge here, so be prepared to circle around a few times.
No tight spaces, amazing service, and magnificent food. I can't stress enough how tender that lamb was... even the rice was well flavored. Wow, simply wow! Coming back.
Food is definitely tasty, generous portions and friendly service…they upgraded their location and the ambiance is nicer and the drinks are always on point
Food was indeed delicious, it's a bit pricey, we had late lunch; but it was worth it.
I would recommend to look into adding some additional scenery shots to these tv screens you have, it would bring place more alive.
And I was not too crazy about the service; unfinished platters were taken too fast without asking us.
The food is amazing. I had such a great time and I love the atmosphere. It was my first time but it definitely won't be my last
Update - They moved to East Meadow in a lot bigger venue and bigger tables. Free parking is available in the vicinity. I hope they will be successfully in the new location because it was pretty empty when were there at lunch time.
Initial review- I am so disappointed to see this place closed permanently at their Old Country Road location.. It's always a relaxing dinner with great food at reasonable price. I never had a babaganoush better than what they serve. Excellent service and they have parking.
Updated: another great dinner here. This time it was shrimp. Delicious! I've been coming here for over a decade and the menu and quality never changes, always consistently great.
Lamb was cooked well, but I did not like the yogurt sauce. Food was a little dry because of that. Nice interior.
