Delicious freshly made pasta. Great little restaurant. Waitress was great. Highly recommend. They have special sourrbtatten 2x a year. feb and oct- get on their email list and they remind u. Social distance in place love this little gem of a restaurant

Amazing food! The attention to detail was delightful. Our server, Ariella, even came by with a metal scraper to clean bread crumbs from our table cloth. By far some of the best service I've had. I would come back here in a heartbeat!

My friend chose this quaint little place to have dinner last night and I'm glad we came. It was clean, nicely lit and the staff was pleasant. Pasta is made in house so that's an added bonus. We were waited on by Mary. We were given a wine list and explained what the specials of the day were. I had the seafood marinara which came with clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, calamari and sole fillet over a fresh bed of linguine. Delish! We were given a basket of bread (which was warm but hard) with butter. My friend had the lobster ravioli and practically climaxed during and after she was done devouring it lol She's a picky eater but in the battle of food versus woman, food won! The iced water tasted fresh like they had their own special water line pipe that filters their own water. For dessert, I chose vanilla and chocolate ice cream encased in a dark chocolate shell with a cherry inside and it was topped with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup. Sweet tooth: satisfied. My friend had the cannoli cake which she said was ok. Oh, you can save on your bill if you pay and tip in cash or you'll be charged a 4% surcharge for credit/debit card transactions. Overall pleasant experience and will return.

Tonight was our first time at Mascali and it will not be our last. Mary was not only an excellent waitress she was very friendly. I have a lactose intolerance and I requested the gnocchi special be made without cream. She asked the kitchen and they agreed. Not only did they agree , but Jimmy the owner/ chef personally came to talk to my wife and I and discuss the preparation. The baked clams were excellent as were the calamari (and the plum tomato sauce was excellent). The gnocchi was probably the best that I have ever had. All the pasta is made fresh. My wife's pasta and sauce were both excellent. At the end of our meal Jimmy gave us a tour of his kitchen and we checked out his Italian market. Fresh and clean are two words that fit well. I'm glad that we went on a week night because we got to see the staff at their best. Jimmy is a true chef and excellent restauranteur. We will definitely be back as regulars. Jimmy, thank you for the meat raviolis. I can't wait until we have them.

This may seem crazy but I think I'm a distant cousin to the owners of this restaurant on their maternal side & my paternal side. Don't allow this to discount my review bc I had never known about that until after visiting Mascali Restaurant. My wife and I traveled up to Long Island from the Atlanta area and had the most wonderful meal there. The food was awesome, the service great and the attached Italian Deli was over the top for us. I felt like a kid in Brooklyn ! I will go back there wherever anywhere near that area. In my opinion, everyone should do the same !

Never ever had a bad meal or experience here. Went here with a party of 5 for my grandmother's 90th, and Mike was such a gracious, attentive and personable host to all of us. I ordered the lasagna and it was lasagna, done perfectly. The baked clams were very similar to the recipe that the Bonwit Inn used to make, and they are a favorite of mine now. Service was prompt, food was all fresh, especially the calamari and antipasto platter. Delicious drinks too!

Probably the freshest meal and italian products you will find in suffolk. Great food great products love it here. Service is great and there is also a full bar. Update 2022: So sad to see this place closed it was one of my favorites when we moved here. I know the owner is struggling with medical issues. I wish them and their family good health and a speedy recovery. You will be missed. Update 2020: Just had a great baptism party with 50+ people the service was unbelievable, the food was all hot fresh and ready for everyone. It got very quiet when the main course came out because everyone was really enjoying thier food. Absolutely amazing job. They kept water glasses filled and beverages refilled constantly. All the pasta here is always fresh which is another amazing thing that you don't see at a lot of Italian restaurants. The staff and food here are incredible. Will absolutely be back for more future parties.

High quality Italian food that stands out among the crowd in this area. Tons of local places, but this one you can taste the difference. Standard size menu, lots of great drink selections, desserts were on point, the staff was friendly, and the parking in the back plentiful. Only one star missing because the prices were a bit steep, but that does seem to be the theme in this area. Would definitely recommend!

Food is excellent. Service is great. They specialize in making macaroni and ravioli in house so l suggest trying that if that is your first time. But everything else is amazing as well. Only con is the restuaraunt is kind of small and fills up quick so make a reservation. But then again that small homey atmosphere is why you would go there.

This place is a hidden gem , not only is the staff always so attentive and friendly but they follow guidelines and rules, make you feel very comfortable. I go here all the time and the food is amazing and being a chicken Parm specialist on a scale from 1 to 10 I would say 8.1 which is very good! Our waiter, mike - on point Give it a try, you will love the reliable food and service

We ordered and picked up dinner last night. The lobster ravioli fabulous. Equally good but healthier, the chicken over spinach was delish. Our ordered also included crab cakes, hot sausage and stromboli. Looking forward to trying the rest.

I love Mascali. They are always very friendly and nice. I can't wait until they reopen but, at least the store is still open. I got some sauce and meatballs for future meals, and eggplant parm and baked clams oreganata for tonight. It was excellent.

The food is amazing, best italian food on Long Island. The staff & service is unmatched. try the Lunch Specials 12bucks gets you a meal u think you had traveled to Italy for. I love this place and almost never knew it was there after living in the same town for almost 4years. Oh, and everything there is homemade!

Came to Mascali for Long Island Restaurant week with my best friend. The food was phenomenal. We both had asparagus in carozza, veal piccata, and she had rainbow cookie cake while I had pumpkin crumble. Everything was delicious. Their restaurant week options were diverse, and there were many things on the regular menu i'd like to try as well. The service was wonderful, although my server spilled my wine. She was very apologetic & coming from a family of restaurant people I didn't hold it against her. It was a nice environment but very empty for a Thursday night.

I have not had the pleasure of the restaurant end of it yet, however the market is great. All they're food is wonderful. Try the pot of sauce with fresh pasta and meats. $39.99 you can feed 4 plus generously. Everyone will love it!

Pleasant local shop/ restaurant with homemade pastas and desserts. Was blown away by their freshly made apple strudel yet not as impressed by their Napoleons. Pastas can be wonderful depending on the day. Do visit their shop for take out treats.

Great accommodations from my husband, who is in a wheelchair. There pesto sauce is the best I've ever had! Hands down! I would love to go back soon!

Attended a family celebration here. Four course meal with awesome choice for each course. The food was absolutely amazing and the servers were great, very attentive to every need. Highly recommend.

As a lot of people here in the Northport area know (who know me) I love to eat a good meal when I go to dinner, this place is awesome! I've tried all different types of Jims ( owner chefs) food, he puts a lot of work into the food he puts out, everyone I have ever brought there absolutely loved it... I highly recommend all of his specials and don't be afraid to try new things here,,, the wait staff are very attentive and friendly...bon appetite!

Their food never disappoints. It’s always cooked to perfection, & you know you’re always getting nothing but the best. Even the pasta side is never a let down.

Went lastnite, OMG, the best saurbrauten I've ever had. The deserts are always so fresh, I bring them home. Everyone needd to try it, a must!!!!!!

Every time there is a special occasion that needs to be celebrated, no doubt in mind we celebrate at Mascalis Restaurant. The food is delicious. The service is great and the owner Jim and his daughter Carley go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect and you are enjoying your time and meal.

I just wanted to take the extra effort to tell all the locals (Northport) that if you haven't taken the time to break the routine and try a old place (new for you) you really need to try Mascali (aka - Larkfield Pasta). Anyone who knows really good Italian knows that Pasta is both the easiest thing to make..but what they don't realize is that it is also the easiest thing to screw up also. Not to mention the Sauce(s), Portion, Presentation, and the 25 other small things that nobody subliminally doesn't think that they themselves pay attention to. Coming from the large Italian family I can tell you that I've had thousands of dishes of pasta my whole life... So let me just tell you that the pasta here is Pretty much as close to perfection as one could ask for. If you are dining in, calling in a to go order, or even catering at the house. It's been cooked perfectly every time ! There is nothing even close in the area that will compare. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of both enjoying a fantastic meal and supporting a local business that deserves so much more recognition than it probably get credits for.

Excellent cuisine which appeals to a variety of tastes! The atmosphere is a cozy one and the "wait" staff is friendly and helpful! When the restaurant is not 2 busy, Jimmy, the owner shows his face and speaks with his diners!
