I first tried Red Ginger when we moved into the area, 2 years ago. This is by far the best of all the Chinese / Asian restaurants in the area. I've never had an MSG headache after eating from here (unlike the place a little further down Larkfield.) And this is what sealed it for me: I once asked about requesting off-menu dishes, and the owner said "no problem, tell me what you'd like". I responded with a list of mixed vegetables including water chestnuts and she said "we don't carry canned vegetables, only fresh vegetables". That sealed the deal for me. You get what you pay for, and the food here is excellent. My wife sometimes gets food on her way home with the kids, and the owner told her to call and they'll bring the food out, so she doesn't have to deal with two kids and car seats etc. If you've got young children, you understand. Maybe it's because we're regulars, maybe it's because they're just really nice and accommodating. Either way, we've been eating from here regularly for two years, and have never been disappointed.
This place is awesome. The food is very fresh and it reminds me of a restaurant that I went to as a kid. The delivery service is great and they are very quick. The dine in service is pretty good. Straight forward nothing extravagant. The Thai tea is a great summer drink. I add a little rum to mine to give it a bit of a kick. Overall, I am happy with the food, service and atmosphere!
Great food. We had the Crispy Honey Chicken Wings as an app. Mongolian Beef and Shezuan Chicken for entrees..We were very impressed with the flavors and textures of the meats and sauces...Staff was very attentive. Overall very satisfied.
My family's favorite Chinese restaurant. Everything on the menu is terrific, and the service is friendly and fast. Favorites include: Dan Dan Noodles, Sichuan Chicken and their Wonton Soup and Pork Egg Rolls are better than any restaurant in the area. I drive 20 minutes each way, and it is always worth the trip.
Amazing Asian food! Really fast and fresh! (And it's NOT a chain!) The Pad Thai is delicious and addicting, I keep ordering it. Also try the Kung Pao and Mongolian, two of my favorites.
Nothing is too spicy, unless you want it to be.. You order at the counter and sit down to eat. Really casual and quick, and it's got really nice decor.
Try it out! It's a definite step-up from the usual Chinese fare, veggies are crisp and the chicken/beef are really tender. Love the new addition and will continue to eat here!
Chinese style food with a difference. Not the standard menu. Food is fresh with large pieces of vegetables. Fried rice is more like brown rice. Egg rolls are excellent.
Just had a terrific dinner at Red Ginger! Went with 5 other people and we all loved our food. I ordered pork dumplings and chicken with string beans! Yum! So good!
I don't even like going out for take out chinese or express asian but this place with it's odd blend of asian cuisine and classic diner vibes has me returning every so often. The food is surprisingly on point. For what it is and the price point it's at I'd say it's a solid eatery.
My husband & I ordered dinner from Red Ginger today for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. So fresh and not greasy ; will definitely return!

Not your average Chinese...quickly a new favorite.... food is always super fresh and delicious and the place is spotless! Delivery is also very quick!
Hong kong noodle soup is on point. I tried almost all the foods on their menu. Great delivery service and great food. I recommend this place to long islander and even new yorkers.
