We have been traveling the Pacific Northwest for the last 10 days so we have had many opportunities to sample many different restaurants along the way. After reading so many questionable reviews we decided to have dinner here and decide for ourselves because the view from the patio is stunning.
We stopped in personally shortly after they opened to make a reservation for the patio for dinner they informed us that the kitten is closed between 4 and 5 to give the kitchen to prepare for dinner so we chose to come at 5 to make sure we got a seat on the patio.
We started with a Caesar salad, then our mains were the seafood linguini and a madrona burger. The salad was crisp and flavorful with shaved parmesan cheese throughout.
The madrona burger was perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The seafood linguini was the best seafood we have encountered, beating out the seafood in Cannon Beach and Seattle. The sauce was so tasty the plate was wiped clean.
The staff as great, constantly refilling or water glasses and communicating with us throughout our meal.
The oysters are great, the steak is juicy, the fish sandwich is delicious and the salad is fresh. You can't go wrong. One year later we went back again. Reservations are preferred but we got a seat in the bar area and everything was just as good. Keep it up!
Excellent service, food and views. This laid back restaurant serves some of the tastiest and interesting food on the island for a surprisingly reasonable price. The staff are charming and the views are not to be missed.
We had 5:30 reservations (made the night before) and were seated right away. Such a nice view and great atmosphere to enjoy a meal together. We ended up sharing the spinach salad and 3 piece fish and chips, which was more than enough food. Everything tasted delicious! The staff were friendly and helpful. We never felt rushed.
The view at Madrona is amazing! The staff was friendly. We tried the Madrona Burger and the Fish and Chips. The burger was really good, but the fish and chips were amazing. Hands down the best tartar I've ever had!
Great view of the bay in a quaint building with old wood flooring and walls. I had the steamer clams which was nothing short of delicious. My wife had fish tacos which were also very good except for the coleslaw which tasted like they were filtered through a sweaty jock strap. Service was slow, but in their defense, it was very crowded and there were only 2 servers. We'll be back, but not for the coleslaw.
The oysters tasted as fresh as you can get. The halibut was good. The lamb chops were excellent. Great view! Good friendly service.
Great place for lunch. We had the fish and chips, blue cheese salad, pesto chicken and fish sandwich.
I love seafood. I had oysters and fish here. All fresh. Perfectly cooked, thanks chef! Very nice view from the inside and outside. It's just warm and calm inside after a long walk visiting the town, it's a place to be. Servers were nice and presentable. A clean place to dine.
The gnocchi was extremely soft and felt almost like raw dough but otherwise everything was delicious.
