The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the staff are extremely friendly, and DEFINITELY know their extensive wine list. It is a bit spendy, BUT, everything is home made there, even their pizza crust, and flat breads!
For the 20+ years I have been going to Ciao, I have never been disappointed. We have always tried a little bit of everything from appetizers to the dessert with a few cocktails in between.

Made reservations for our Anniversary and my husbands birthday. Same day. When he made them he asked if the Walleye Milanese would be available. Was told to call back the day of since it's brought in fresh practically every day.
The hostess greeted us with a Happy Anniversary. We were seated and our wonderful waitress said the same thing but added they did have his Walleye. Everything is so personalized. Love it. I had the Alaskan Halibut with sweet corn risotto. To die for. Made our day perfect. Loved our waitress.
Ciao Bella has always been one of my favorite restaurants. They have the best menu and wine list.
Hearty helpings of the best Italian Food in not just Minn, but possibly the country. Unbelievable food, great service but a little noisy. We were there on a Monday night . Mama Mia ! Worth the drive !
Our go-to date night spot. Unbelievably delicious food — everything! But oh my that roasted red pepper linguine with scallops! 🙌🏻 — & Jeremy and Mike at the bar are the best!!
Awesome food and service, beautiful patio and dining area. I excited to go back and try other dishes.
Had the best time ever with colleagues last night. Our waitress was awesome, she really took care our our group. Food was very good and wine was awesome!
I had the risotto with chicken and wild mushrooms and warm olives, as well as a few appetizers shared with our group. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was outstanding. If I ever get back to the area, I would love to eat there again!
I loved everything about this place... the food was amazing as well as the service!
The beautiful ambiance, attentive staff, and personal service by all staff complements the fabulous food. A notch above the rest.
Thank you to our server Payton! You’re fabulous! On to Tim and Faith !
Excellent food & service! Always a great place for dinner or a drink.
Amazing food & the service was outstanding, thank you for making my birthday a great one! ❤️
Great food and service! Try something new each time and never disappointed. The limonetta dessert is unbelievable.
I was there to shoot a wedding and the staff was absolutely amazing. Professional, attentive and caring!
Great service, fabulous food and delicious desserts!! Thank you for a great lunch!! Will be back again and again!
The food was excellent! Scott was our server and he was wonderful!
Excellent service, delicious food, great atmosphere. Highly recommended :)
Me and my husband visited yesterday to Ciao Bella on special occasion..”our anniversary”😊. We had an awesome experience-food, service, ambience everything was so good👍🏻.
Wow restaurant. Really enjoyed the World Cup on the big screen. The turkey sandwich was really tasty.
Always delicious food and great services!! Will be back for more and more, thanks
Everything was great!! The ambiance, the lighting, the serving, and the food was exceptional. Nice but also not to costly. Definitely will be returning!
LOVE this restaurant. Excellent food, drinks and service. One of my favorite places to eat!!!
I always love LOVE dining at Ciao Bella! I was, however disappointed that the Mussels were taken off the menu. 😩
Wonderful food, wine and atmosphere ! We are hoping to keep it a secret so it doesn't fill up when we want to stop by...
;-)
One word AMAZING! The service was prompt, super friendly and very attentive. We didn’t want for a single thing the whole time we were there.
Now the food it was so tasty. The complimentary bread was warm and delicious. Our party of four ordered the special of gnocchi with Italian sausage, red pepper linguine and scallops, spicy crab spaghetti and the beef ravioli. The red pepper linguine and scallops was hands down the best of the four the scallops were seared perfectly and the sauce was perfect. Our dessert was the tiramisu and the limonella. The tiramisu lady fingers were a bit over soggy but the limonella was delicious.
My one and only complaint was that it is very noisy in there. They should install more surfaces to absorb noise.
If you’re in Minneapolis it’s worth the trip.
Ciao Bella at Edina. Great restaurant with Italian and Spanish cuisines. Lovely place to dine in and good customer service. Nice bread to serve as starter and main course short rib tortolini is tasty. Highly recommended

Chicken and mushroom risotto was delicious!!!!!!! Also, I loved the Riesling that they serve. I come here every time I visit Minnesota. Definitely, a must try!
The upscale nature of Ciao Bella didn't make me feel uncomfortable as a single diner. The atmosphere was definitely elegant for an Italian restaurant, but everyone who worked there was friendly and welcoming. And the food was all that I hoped that it would be - delicious! The Tortiglioni Rossa was outstanding, a "spot-hitter" for me as I was looking for something other than a basic pasta dish on my first visit to Ciao Bella. And as I left, I decided that it would not be my only visit to this very good restaurant.
Delicious food, whatever you order. I have been there several times and finally remembered to put in a review after this last trip. Everything I have ordered here has been flavourful and satisfying. Service was great along with the ambiance, and it was always very busy. Definite place to visit if you are in for a evening of delicious dining, dessert and wine.

Really, What I Expected. I took a visiting, out-of-town friend to Ciao Bella on a Friday during Lent, and was pleased at the quantity and quality of the seafood options on the menu. The pesto sea bass is beautiful, as are the wasabi scallops. Don't miss out on sampling the house-made gelato for dessert. Save this spot for a special occasion - it won't fail to please.
Great place. Wonderful dinners for a multigenetational dinner. Everyone loved their meals. Service was exceptional.
Loved the crab cakes! Great sizes for lunch portions ... Would come back if I lived in town
Raves for Ciao Bella. Ciao Bella might be considered a “hidden gem” simply because of its tucked-away location in Edina, but it’s certainly a popular spot. And for good reason. This restaurant is really doing it right. With a creative, Italian-centric menu, top-notch ingredients, and excellent preparation the dining experience is always a treat. Special kudos go to the wood-fired oven pizzas and flatbreads, incredible stuffed meatballs, lobster risotto, and walleye Milanese. The atmosphere is at once both expansive and cozy, with vaulted ceilings, brick walls and chic décor. In warmer months, dining under the wisteria vines on the patio can make you think you’re in California, and the outdoor bar is a popular gathering place.
Far and above the culinary excellence and wonderful ambiance, however, is a staff that is second to none. The people really make this restaurant. Bartenders Brittany, Naomi, Mike, and their fearless leader, Damian, make the clientele feel right at home. All have great personalities, and are outstanding at their craft. The servers operate at a high level of professionalism, and demonstrate a true dedication to customer satisfaction. Orchestrating all of this is the heart of Ciao Bella, the inimitable Sue. Her gracious charm and genuine affection for her customers ensure that it’s a happy, lively place.
Don’t miss Ciao Bella.
I'd go back. This place was good. Service is good. Food is okay to good depending on what you get. Currently they don't have their spicy crab pasta, but that dish was good. I had the risotto dish and it did not taste very good. I had a hard time eating it. It can be a hard place to find. The portions are small even if you get the larger size. I was quite surprised that when they offer cheese to add on to your dish, it's not fresh grated parmesan cheese. Even Olive Garden offers fresh grated cheese and they are an inexpensive restaurant.
Great food and great service. Good variety of options, all of which are worth trying. Good for special outing or occasions.
What a great place for dinner. I had the red pepper linguini with scallops and it was delicious. Would definitely go back.
Love to sit at a half circle booth in the bar and enjoy cocktails! Great pasta and exceptional walleye!
Thumbs Up!. Went to Ciao Bella last night to celebrate a friend's birthday. Both the hostess and our waiter were friendly and efficient--we hardly noticed our waiter coming and going. I loved the menu options here -- lots of opportunities to choose small or large for your favorite dish, which lends alot of flexibility. I ordered the beef tenderloin crostini appetizer, which was a great combination of grilled beef and crunchy cracker, with a wonderful aioli dip that I finished off with a spoon. My friend said her tuna sushi roll was excellent (and she's a sushi snob). She also ordered the seafood linguini, which was full of shrimp and chunks of fish. She really liked it and I was jealous. In order to eat on the lite side I chose the Chicken and Artichoke Flatbread, which, unfortunately, was just average. It needed a spark, as chicken often does (perhaps more artichokes or adding sun-dried tomatoes?) and could have used a little more sauce. The cracker crust was very good. For dessert we split their Limonetta Bella, a luscious lemon dessert with a graham cracker crust that will cause cravings with me for years to come. All of this and 4 glasses of wine later, our bill was only just over $100 ! Many more things I would like to try, so we will be back !!!
Awesome meal! Definitely the best I've had in Bloomington! Service was excellent as well. Fresh ingredients put together expertly! Would definitely go back.
Good food, good atmosphere. I like going to Ciao Bella and Bacio because I know that I will always find something good. They are both great restaurants and I always find something I like. I like the upscale modern atmosphere a lot and think that the restaurant is styled very well. I do think that their prices are a little high. I also think it is important to note that this is not true Italian fare, but rather a sort of American Italian fusion. It is much better than Buca, but not quite as good as La Grolla in my opinion.
Amazing. Great food and by far the best pizza in town. hard to believe when you think at first you might be at olive garden, but this local place has great food and a busy/lively atmosphere!
Wonderful. Great find. Sitting in a side room greatly reduces the noise, but the main room has nice atmosphere. The service was very good. The food was excellent. Filet was slightly undercooked for my diner companion; waitress took care of this immediately and it came back perfect. Mussels were amazing; salads were great. Even the coffee was way above average. A top choice - highly recommended.
Bella- meaning beautiful, & it is. Great Decor with it's Umber Fancy Stucco Walls,Custom Wrought Iron, even down to the Bathroom Handles that you will daydream of Stealing, Great Flat Bread Pizza's like the Portabella, Hearts of Palm Salads, to Die for Fries,& Steaks for the Meat & Potato Lovers too. Great patio with Heat Lamps, Piped music, & it's own Intimate Bar.Manga, Manga.A Rick Webb Resto, as is Bacio & Zelo, few do Restaurants better.Wher he opens, I will follow.
4.5 out of 5 Tiara's
Great Food but Noisy. Meals were delicious, service was outstanding...The only downside for our trip was the location of our seat which was right outside of the kitchen....extremely noisy.
Awesome pizza. I went in last week for the first time. The location is hidden and I was wondering how busy it would be tucked back so far off of France, but the place was full. Overall it was enjoyable with the food being pretty good, but I was most impressed with the pizza there. It was probably one of the best pepperoni pizzas i have ever had in my life. Will definitely be going back for more!
Ambiance and Appetizers.... Great Italian restaurant between Penn and France North of 494 in Bloomington. Unless you know you're going here, you probably will miss it.
Definately worth getting away from the mall to relax and enjoy this place. Their food is excellent, especially their appetizers.
Ciao Bella is a large restaurant, with a couple of separate dining areas throughout the space. The main dining room is an open area with a mix of tables and booths, white table cloths and dim lighting. I thought the ceiling
Visiting Ciao Bella for a business lunch and it didn't dissapoint. Good portions and all the plates looked great. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I live 45 minutes away and still make time to head that way for dinner. If weather allows dine out on the patio.
This is a very large restaurant so don't expect a Mom and Pop Italian joint. The menu was as much American as it was Italian but the Scallops I had to start were excellent, the Classic Lasagne I had afterwards was very good but not the best ever hence why I didn't rate this 5 Star. Service was good, ambience was noisy rather than intimate.

The food was fantastic. We were a group of 4 and went for lunch. We ordered a Brussels sprouts for the table. I had the tomato avocado flatbread, my colleagues had a lamb pasta, filet-mignon, and salmon.
The warm bread is delicious. Their service is quick and attentive.
There are some vegetarian options but you’ll have to look closely at the menu to figure it out. But it would be nicer to have some more vegetarian options ( or at least for them to be marked separately and clearly on the menu)
Dane took great care if us. He read us quite well and was able to adapt his service style to our needs. He was very charismatic, attentive, and spot on with his suggestions. The food was delicious. This is certainly a place where you get quality over quantity, but if you go in understanding that, you're sure to enjoy yourself.
This Italian restaurant is among the best that I have tried. Although a little pricey, the quality is some of the highest. I would definitely recommend this place, you might want to call in advance to make a reservation a few days prior if possible.
Great service, delicious food, and nice atmosphere. Recommend the Prosciutto di Parma, Balsamic, & Arugula as an appetizer, though it could be someone's meal, as it came as a whole flatbread pizza. Dry Aged Pork Chops were very good, and if they have the Shrimp Linguine Nero special, it also is very good. The small version of the Budino dessert is perfect for one. Also always love a place that serves bread and butter to the table!
Service was great. I had the pesto halibut which I felt the Wasabi mashed potatoes could have gotten more kick to. However, everything else was great. Bread was soft and warm, the meatballs were cooked perfectly and the parmesan crusted shrimp was everything and more
