I was working in Margate on Friday and take Ocean Heights Avenue home where I live in Mays Landing. I had a craving for a taco salad with chicken. I brought it home to share with my son. He loved the sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomatoes and black olives and especially the taco shell. The taco salad was so yummy and fresh, we were so full afterwards. The food is always fresh and the restaurant always a nice vibe and love the music.
We had El Coyote cater our daughter’s graduation party, and they sure delivered in every sense of the word! EVERYONE loved the food, it was the hit of the party! Mary arranged for someone (Monica) to run the show here at the house with organizing two separate deliveries/set up, serving, cleaning up afterwards, and making sure everyone was happy. Monica was a ROCKSTAR! While everything was absolutely delicious, I must point out that the tamales were the BEST we’ve ever had...and we’ve had a lot! Mary was also able to coordinate a bartender for us as well, Bernie, who also was top notch! If you’re looking to cater your next affair, you won’t regret using El Coyote for everything!
Solid execution - well-balanced between heat and bitter and sweet - everything, even the chips, tasted both homemade yet a bit sophisticated.
This place makes me feel like I'm back in San Diego. I highly recommend the California Burrito, Chimichangas, and their Guacamole. The service is great and very friendly.

Very good food, Tomales are the best around, staff and service more then acceptable. I go about once a month, only downside is the restroom situation.
I’ve lived here in EHT for 17 yrs now and finally ate here! My dinner was amazing! I had the lobster tacos and what more can I say! OUTSTANDING!!! Also had an order of the wings...mmmm delicious!!! Too bad I’m moving this weekend but I guarantee when I come back to visit family I’ll be eating there again!!!
Fairly new to Mexican cuisine, but have absolutely loved every meal I've had at El Coyote. Continually recommend it to anyone looking for good food cooked and served by friendly staff.

Best Southwestern grub in the area. Hands down...superior service and the BYOB is a plus! You never walk away hungry or disappointed! Prices are fantastic!
