Review Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Egg Harbor Township

I think Dickey's is one of the best local restaurants in town. Brisket is so tender and the sauces are really good too. Recommend creamy spinach and onion tanglers for sides! And you get free soft serve ice cream :)

This is the 4th time I’ve ordered from this place. First two times sucked! Third time was awesome. Burnt ends, sliced brisket, and pulled pork were excellent. Good crispy waffle fries. Disgusting, inedibly salty creamed spinach. Just okay baked beans. This most recent time, the brisket burnt ends are just a few actual burnt ends and a bunch of tiny pieces of chopped brisket slices. 1-lb of sliced beef brisket is $21.00 1-lb of brisket burnt ends is $27.00 So I feel taken on having ordered the burnt ends and instead got chopped up slices of brisket. If anything, these so-called “burnt ends” should be significantly cheaper than the sliced beef brisket. Also, the brisket burnt ends does not weigh 16-ounces, but rather 14.55-ounces. (You’re supposed to get what you pay for, especially when you spend nearly $100 on lunch). Shortchanging customers is just a lousy business model. I’m not sure if I’ll be ordering from Dickey’s again or not. In 4 total orders, only 1 has been very good. Like every other place in EHT, this place is also hit or miss, but with a 25% success rate, this place is mostly “miss” for me. Having said all this, when Dickey’s gets it right, it is fan-freaking-tastic! It’s as good as any barbecue I’ve had in South Jersey. But… getting a good meal from this place is a lot like trying to win the lottery. So good luck! I hope you order on a “hit” day. Really a sad attempt a bbq. I didn’t even know this was a chain till now. I had the two meat platter with ribs (meh), marinated chicken (dry and chewy) mac and cheese (definitely boiled in a bag or microwaved) and bbq beans (idk) along with a very dense, dry roll. I will steer very clear of this place from now on. Yikes. Didn’t even finish the food.

We ordered through EzCater for a birthday celebration. Our order was confirmed within 24hrs, delivery showed up 10 minutes early and everything was packed perfectly. The food was incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. There were no leftovers at the end of the night. Would definitely recommend

I ordered through Door Dash. When I called because 1/3 of my order was missing that was an issue and I feel somehow made it ok for me to be treated rudely. Also be very very careful when you do an add on. I added on 6 corn muffins for an additional $6.00 therefor I did not get the 8 dinners rolls that came with the XL family pack I paid for. That is there policy I was told. Also, somehow, the baked beans are worse than out of a can. I agree with the other reviews that the food is way over spiced and salted. It’s one thing to mess up an order. It’s another thing to not honor the mistake. I rarely post reviews but I felt this one was necessary to keep consumers informed. I’m sure I will receive the standard reply this restaurant sends to everyone who has had an issue but still thought I would post this. BE WARY

Clean with friendly staff but I had the most bland pork sandwich imaginable. I thought it would be seasoned or cooked with sauce but nope. The meat was fine but the only option available at the time was to dump barbecue sauce on it. Put some seasonings on your food people! They also got my order wrong but mistakes happen. No big deal. The worst thing of all was they were playing country music in there. We're in South Jersey, not Kentucky, mmmkay?

Thought the food great. A lot of things to choose from on the menu, price's were good for barbeque. Service was quick. The brisket was really good, I liked it without any sauce. Will be back.
