The staff were great. Always on point. The girl took good care of us. Food is good. Had a baby shower there before. Very nice. Thank you
My server Cathy was friendly, awesome job. I loved the crispy fried fish and mashed tatoes. Excellent food. 6:p.m. 4/01/2016
Went with my mom she had the fry fish and I had blue fish. It was very good and would return again
Did my daughter's baby shower and we were showered with exceptional customer service. Waitress Nubia have stellar service. Thank you Omar (manager) for always helping us make our reunions special.
Definitely a must dine here every time we are around East El Paso. I highly recommend fried fish. People are so nice, fast and provide anything you need at the cafeteria bar. Chill ambient, good for quick bites, and low prices for a great value. 100% recommended!
Been going here since I was little with family. It’s a good family friendly place. Staff are usually nice and attentive. Food is usually good. Blackened salmon was really good. Chicken tenders as well. The almond fish is always a classic.
Hadn't been to Luby's in years. It was a nice treat. Tried the almondine fish with mashed potatoes, and it was really good. The dessert section was hard to pass up. Wouldn't mind a return trip soon.
I like this place because of the variety and the food is really good, especially the fried 🐟 . The sides are really good, I usually get the mash potatoes and macaroni and cheese. Desert selections is large and all of them are usually pretty good. The weekends they have a breakfast buffet that's the best. They have menudo along with regular breakfast, you can't beat it!

I love having food options to look at when I’m in line. Much better than photos on a menu. Food was delicious and was a good size portion. We had two elderly members in our group and the servers enthusiastically carried they’re food trays to our table. Excellent prices. I will treat my family there again.
I'm actually from Houston and merely flew in to El Paso to help out in a struggling market, but I'm no stranger to Luby's. However it's been quite awhile since I last ate at a Luby's, so while conducting my work yesterday on a Saturday (5/27), when I stumbled across this Luby's, I made the conscious decision to stop by here for lunch/dinner the next day.
I've always enjoyed Luby's and have for the most part always had a pleasant experience, but most or all of the Luby's in my area have closed up, so it's a been a hot minute since I last visited one. Actually there used to be one just up the road, about 8 minutes from my home, directly in front of a Target store I conduct work in on a weekly basis, but they shut down years ago. Kinda bummed me out honestly, but the quality of their food could be hit or miss sometimes, so perhaps them closing up was inevitable.
This location though, all I can say is it reminded me why I love having lunch here. I ended up getting the Cheesesteak, which is my go-to, Spanish Rice, Mashed Potatos w/ white gravy, cornbread, green jello, & a Coconut Cream Pie, and let me just say everything was AMAZING. I was given decent sized portions (the freaking Cheesesteak was huge compared to what I'm used to getting), everything was hot, fresh, & cooked to perfection, I had a nice booth over by the windows with the sun's warmth grazing my body, the place was clean and well kempt, the waitress was kind and friendly, I just overall had a fantastic experience and would recommend anyone to visit this location, whether you've been to a Luby's before or have never tried one.
My dinner was so good and I was just so impressed, that I simply had to write a 5 star review cause it really made me miss this restaurant. Now when I get back home I gotta check and see if there's any of these still around anywhere, but if ever have to come back to El Paso to help out in this market again, I'm most definitely stopping by here, provided I have the time to do so. I got lucky I could take Sunday off to come have lunch here, it was well worth it 😋
From the prices to the quality to the healthy choices to the portions - everything was pretty perfect with this place! Think of this as a Golden Corral with a different twist of taste! And might I add, better quality and service. And fyi - Golden Corral is great as well to me. A solid 3.5 stars if you're going the buffet route. Loved this place as newcomers and passerbys from FL to El Paso and onwards! Thanks again guys!
Good food at reasonable prices. Haven't ate at a cafeteria style restaurant in ages. Wasn't disappointed.
Decor could use an update, but staff were exceptional. Tended to every need promptly.
I will go back.
I love the food in this restaurant. Everything is always fresh and of good quality. The are a lot of plates to choose from that It is difficult to take a decision. They have variety of meat, fish and chicken. The portions are very good even if you order the Luann plate which is half the size of a combo. The deserts never disappoint. I like that they are sweet enough. I had a salad with my meal and I was surprised that they do not have any balsamic vinaigrette dressing. That is very odd for a restaurant with such many options. I will definitely recommend going to this restaurant.

I have not been here in a while. It was well worth the wait. The food was amazing, and the staff is always so helpful. This time, though, there were so many dirty tables, staff standing around waiting to be called to help someone... still it was awesome, and I'll be back.
I had not been here in about 20 yrs. Delicious, great options. Disappointed they only have meatloaf on Friday's or at least thats what I was told. On their website it seems as if its always available. But its not. If you sit at the booths with the windows facing Hawkins the view of the mountains is amazing.
We come here usually Wednesday or Saturday because we have a kid. She has free meal. 😉 (Who doesn’t love that?) If you love southern dishes, it’s the best place to go. I’m Asian, so I order LuAnn ( half an entree, two vegetables, and bread)—small portion size. Pretty full already. Price is affordable. Ambiance is nice and place is clean.
Luby's has always been my favorite go-to for home-cooked recipes since my college days in the 1970s. Thanksgiving menu has served me well for in-dining as well as pick up for our family.
All dishes are like home-cooking and desserts are top knotch with a fair price that challenges competitors. I miss having breakfasts on Sat. and Sundays with my dad. When I arrived at Luby's by myself, Perla, Nubia & others that recognized us as "regulars" came to my table & shed tears over my loss. I'll forever be a happy customer with Luby's.
The staff is very friendly, quick and helpful. The food is delicious and they have a good selection to choose from. They offer beef, chicken, fish, enchiladas, chicken fried steak, etc. They have daily specials too. I like the LuAnn special after 3pm. You get half portion of main dish and still get 2 sides and a roll for a reduced price. That's enough food for me. Don't like getting too full so I leave room for dessert. Nice selection of desserts and salads too. Everyone gets to choose what they want, win, win.
To honestly tell you the truth, the last time I came here it was over 25 years ago I'm 51 now... I thought this place was closed... but lo and behold this place is still here... so decided to have a go since I only had good memories from there when I would go with family... I was not disappointed... the selection of foods is enormous from salads, sides to main dishes and desserts... I will be going back to try one of the dishes I use to fry back in the days, don't laugh but is the liver and onions...
