We decided to try the Habaneros restaurant while our car was being wash (deluxe wash $15) at the car wash, which is basically connected to Habaneros restaurant. We (wife and I) tried an order of beef tacos and chicken tacos. While we waited the waitress brought some tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was very tasty. Had some "kick" to it, but not overpowering where all you taste is HOT. The salsa had a very good blend of flavors with a slight spice "kick". The soft corn shell tacos, both the beef and chicken was excellent. An order of tacos comes is 3 tacos with Mexican rice and beans. I also had an Arizona tea, which was good. Habaneros could possibly be the best kept secret in El Paso. Our service was great. Our food was excellent. The price was even better! The total cost for lunch for two people was $10.80 which is very reasonable. Our car wash actually cost more than our lunch! The car wash personnel do an excellent job! The car looked like it rolled off of the show room floor!
This spot is now a Jamaican restaurant called I-Land Vybz Jamaican Restaurant
