Took my daughter for her birthday. The service was great, and the food was tasty. Our waitress even stopped to help my daughter with the chopsticks. Just give a fork so I don't starve. Would suggest for a good meal. Was told the sushi was very good.
This is the best, most consistent, highest quality restaurant around. The sushi is excellent. Our family has been going here for many years. We love the food especially, and their friendly staff.
We loved this place. The food was great and the service was good. It is a small space, but they fit our group of 6 in. The only sushi we had this time was California roll, and it was tasty. We all ordered hibachi dinners and everyone really enjoyed their meal. We will go back and try the sushi for sure. Can’t wait to eat here again.

We ordered one of the Sushi & Sashimi platter (Item # 92 - $45) and barely finished it between 3 adults! The fish melts in your mouth! All the Sushi is fresh!
I love everything we have tried so far. Kani Salad, Seaweed Salad, goyza dumplings, spring rolls, soft shelled crab, hibachi dinner, tempura (shrimp & vegetable), all kinds of rolls... love the Spider Roll!
Since Elizabeth City doesn't have a Korean restaurant, their Beef Yakiniku is the closest to Korean Bulgogi we can get. Very thin sliced beef. Ask for the spicy red sauce on the side.
They have a good selection of beverages. I enjoy the hot green tea.
The restaurant is small and they do not take reservations. In the winter the dining room (especially close to the doors) can be cold. Otherwise excellent!
Definitely give them a try!

We had a nice experience at Toyama Japanese Restaurant. Great service with good recommendations for first time visitors. Sushi was fresh and larger than expected. Rolls were great. Would eat here again!
What a pleasant find! Small restaurant with fresh sushi. Staff is pleasant and attentive. Ate here for lunch and dinner. Both were delicious. Nice assortment of beer options.
Our family visits the Outer Banks every summer, and each year one of the highlights is eating at Toyama. This is some of the best sushi I've ever eaten. Definitely worth the drive if you love sushi and are visiting OBX.

Our visit on Sunday was our first visit. I've always heard good things about this place and I have to say it exceeded my expectations. It was very delicious and I would believe that we would be back.
Excellent salmon skin rolls (perfectly crispy)! Edamame was steamed perfectly and seasoned well. Tempura plate included zucchini, onion, squash, and sweet potato slices...tempura sauce was too light but Wasabi kicks butt! Ginger slices seemed really fresh too. Great value and quick service. Will be back regularly
I’m obsessed with this place. I probably eat here at least once every other week. Not only is it delicious, it’s very well priced. All of this food was only about $30 and the staff are very friendly.
Our favorite sushi place in this area for sure! We've been a few times while visiting our family in Elizabeth City and it's always been excellent. Prices are good and you'll definitely leave full, especially if you order one of their noodle dishes. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Plus, the menu is extensive so you'll definitely find something you'll want to eat!
My husband wanted hibachi. Not a good choice here. Trd yo stick to sushi, which I did, and it was great. The ginger dressing was great, as well
Some of the best sushi I have ever had. They were a bit slow, but mainly because they were busy. Great place and will definitely go back. Only went with 4 stars because of the wait, food was excellent.

Service was a tad slow, however she was nice. Everything we ordered was delicious! We will definitely come back and try other item's on the menu.
Fist time trying sushi, and I've gone back 3 days a week since. The staff was very helpful in helping me to pick out what to try first, and we never felt rushed to order. My 6-year-old son even loves it!
