Reviews Etown Noodles

Today after shopping in Hershey I decided to make an 11 mile excursion to Elizabethtown and give this restaurant a try. I realized this was probably as close being "in town" as I would ever be. I was surprised the restaurant was open on a Sunday and in the middle of afternoon! Naturally we were the only ones there. That killed the ambiance somewhat. A better day/time to visit would help but shopping was more important, ha ha! The space to the left of the restaurant was vacant so it also made the exterior a bit dumpy. The inside ran very deep and could accommodate 15-20 tables easily. The menu was vast! There were 2 more laminated pages in addition to the menu. According to other reviews, the restaurant already changed management since it first opened in the winter of 2016, and bigger menu was a byproduct. Not sure why such a quick change of hands after a mere 6 months. We ordered #80 Bah Mi Dac Biet $4.99 as appetizer, and 3 noodle dishes as entrees. The bah mi was cut in thirds per our request (+1), and the baguette was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, as perfect as it could be. It didn't injure my gum as some did in my other experiences. A+ for the bah mi. I would highly recommend. #19 Pho Bo Tai (Rib Eye) $8.99. Serving size in terms of amount of pho given was on the small side I thought. The rib eye slices had too much red. A slice or two tasted off, reminiscent of liver slivers, and I had to spit them out!! Broth was OK. C+. #35 Vermicelli Dac Biet (Special) $9.99. Again amount of pho served was rather small. We felt we needed more pho to accompany the rather savory and spicy ingredients. B+ #39 Vermicelli Thit Heo (Grilled Pork) $7.99. This pork vermicelli salad was sweet and tangy. Very nice. Best value as well. A-. Overall experience: 3.5. I round it up for the mere fact that it even exists at all in Elizabethtown where ethnic cuisines are as scarce as hen's teeth.

I ordered casino mussels for appertizer and Spicy Beef Noodles for main. They both were delicious and the price is not bad. I will definitely come back to try out more dishes out of their 126 dish menu.

I had a very good first experience here. Their menu is very limited but has a lot of what I like - some pho and some vermicelli and a few appetizers. Super reasonably priced and also filling. If you're frustrated at how little ethnic cuisine we have in Etown this should be a go-to. However if you're a turkey sandwich or meat and potatoes kind of person you'll be a little taken aback by the menu. Just try it - it's in Etown and it's not a pizza place so it needs some love! Taste 9 Quantity to fill me up 8 Service 8 (but it wasn't busy) Atmosphere 6 Price 10 Overall 8 / 10 Try it!!

Hidden gem that serves delicious Vietnamese dishes made of extremely fresh ingredients. I love the Pho Ga. It has the best flavor. Other places' Pho is somewhat bland and toppings are necessary, but at Etown Noodles, the broth itself is delicious. Fresh spring rolls are amazing as well.

Loved the menu. Loved the prices. Staff was extremely friendly and wanted feedback on the quality of the food. Learned that the restaurant had changed ownership and menu as of January 1st. This makes our family's love of Thai/Vietnamese food convenient and saves us a trip into Lancaster. We will definitely be back!

Food is always fresh staff is nice menu I great. Nice not to have to drive to Lancaster. The only negative is my son ordered dry chow fun. They used thin rice noodles instead of classic wide rice noodle.

The food was fantastic but the service was a bit lacking. I will grant that it was a very slow night so there was only one person working so this may not be typical. We ordered a few different pho bowls, a banh mi, and some fried rice and shared tastes with each other. The pho broth was flavorful, the banh mi had multiple layers of flavor with a soft yet crusty bread and the fried rice had a nice crispy friedness but retained softness along with the right balance of flavors.

Love this place. The staff is so friendly! If you are nervous about ordering food with ethnic names they are really helpful and also number the whole menu so you don't have to say it and sound like an idiot. Every dish I have gotten there has been delicious. Highly recommend their lo mein, definitely a gem of Elizabethtown.

I seriously love this place. The food is so fresh. I love that they give you a plate of fresh vegetables and basil with your pho noodle soup. Also their basil must be on steroids because it is the strongest basil I've had in my life. Lastly the broth is excellent with no doctoring needed. Love it!👌

Happy to find this great Vietnamese noodle & rice restaurant close to home. Seems as good as Rice & Noodles Restaurant of Lancaster. I have had only one noodle dish so far but very happy. Extensive menu including many choices for vegetarians. Highly recommended.

The Spring rolls were absolutely delicious and the Pho is phenomenal! Really glad to have a place like this in town. The ingredients are fresh - it's been awhile since I've had takeout as fresh as this!
