Food was good awhile ago. I ordered food for the family and the food tasted terrible. The food was way to salty, the chicken was crunchy, and the broccoli in the food was cold and tasted like it came out the freezer into the platter and the they don’t let anyone in the building so bring cash because apparently the credit card machine is not in your line of vision.

This is my Favorite Chinese food place since I was in my 20's. Hands down. I'm 40 now. I have not had a bad dish here. I tried a few in the area locally and they were ok, but this is my spot. This is my family's spot too I moved to GA and can not find any Chinese close to Hunan Lion. Susan and the staff are amazing. She knows my order when I call. She knows my wife, kids, and family. Every time I come back home to MD, I make an effort to come here. Love Hunan Lion

Hunan Lion has been out go-to Chinese Food place for YEARS. The customer service there is absolutely outstanding. And the food? DELICIOUS! Their Cashew Chicken is my favorite and it's the best I've ever eaten. HIGHLY recommended.

Susan is the absolute best! Friendly and warm, cares about her customers. Love their veggie spring rolls, and extra point for being willing to make a vegan version of chicken dishes for me. Hubby loves their cashew chicken.

We met with friends at this place for dinner. we heard about this place from many people. Well, it was a winning. The crew were very polite and we felt fantastic. The food was just great. We loved this spot a lot and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

My husband and I really like this place. The food we have ordered has generally been very good and the woman who works there or maybe is the owner is very sweet. Yes, occasionally something will be on the bland side (as other reviewers have noted) but for the most part the food is quite good and the prices are very reasonable. I really like that you can get small orders for dinner bc even the small order has a lot of food and it's very cheaply priced - also we don't end up throwing a bunch of food out bc it's more than enough but not too much. My favorite dish is the spicy tangy wonton appetizer - the sauce is great and I even put it on my entree, moo Shu chicken, which is also very good. The egg rolls are some of the best I've had - very crispy but not greasy, and good flavor. I do wish that the hot & sour soup had more flavor and kick - usually that's one of my favorite Chinese dishes, but theirs is not my favorite...i like the egg drop and wonton soup though. In my opinion they have very solid Chinese food. We get carry out at least twice a month.
