Delicious!! We ordered the quiche of the day, green salad, and the ahi sandwich. The quiche also came with the “heavenly loaf” (pictured below) which was a warm and cheesy homemade roll. Everything was fresh and tasty. The service was excellent. Only giving four stars because we thought it was a little expensive for a casual lunch—$4 for an iced tea, $16 for the ahi sandwich.
Went in search of the “best carrot cake in town” and the Yellow Church Cafe did not disappoint. Not pictured; delicious wine (as suggested by the waitress), perfectly cooked steak and potatoes, and the pasta special. We were lucky enough to catch the final minutes of sunshine and had no wait to be seated. Excellent service and food. Would recommend 10/10.
We loved everything about our lunch at Yellow Church: the sunny deck, our server Kaitlyn, the Heavenly Loaf (so aptly named)! I had the Sundried Tomato Quiche & my husband had the Cowboy Burger - both were excellent! A lovely stop in Ellensburg.
I was driving from Seattle to Spokane and stopped by here to have dinner. I ordered chicken with fresh cherry sauce which was their special of the day. It was good and fresh but if I go there ever again, I would go with something else. The chicken was a bit dry and the cherry sauce was very minimal. So it felt like I was having chicken with rice ! Again it was ok but nothing special. If you go there, I suggest you ordering something else 😉
Staff were amazing and kind. They are super busy though. Expect a lot of wait time.
I'm so glad we Googled to find something further into town than right off the freeway! What a great place this was to visit. The architecture, the history, and the people were great.
The food was astounding--with complex flavorings creating dishes to remember! It was the best lamb I've had since visiting The Grouse in Ballymena, Ireland, five years ago.
If you've got the time, stop in and try anything off their menu. You won't be sorry.
Reservations highly recommended. My steak was a perfectly cooked medium rare. I couldn't have asked for better. The wine was so good. The carrot cake was the best carrot cake I've had in my whole life, and I've eaten a lot of different carrot cakes. The service was good. The environment was very loud and active. You could hear happiness coming from all the other tables. I will eat here again.
