Review Mulligan's Grill - Ellisville

Good food, our service was Ok. I got the 6oz burger which was cooked well (you only get one choice in cooked style, which I believe is medium well). And the fries were really good. Our waitress checked on us twice and from talking we needed more time and then approx 15 minutes passed before we needed to go get her. Which is the reason for the 4 stars.

I've been coming here for years. I love the divot sandwich. It's your typical nice neighborhood bar & grill . There's a decent amount of blue collar guys on their lunch break in there but also older people who are retired and ladies meeting for group lunches and things like that . I really only get that one dish when I go there, so I can't comment on the food, but the fries are pretty good . It's basically about what you expect.

Some of the best wings money can buy and you can't go wrong with the burgers either. Terrific overall menu and service.

Enjoyed the chicken Pita! Fresh steamed broccoli, simple yes - but nice when so many other places opt for frozen. Offered free sample of the house bourbon was a nice treat. Glad we got the early (11:15ish). There was a line for lunch seating when we left, can see why. Nice local bar/grill. I' ll be back!

You might have to wait to get into the restaurant on the weekends but the food is well worth the wait. Mulligan’s is one of the best American grill/bar restaurants in West County south of 40/64. The wings here are legendary followed closely by the burgers and monster salads. You will not find a better waffle fri anywhere in STL. The chicken is always juicy and well marinated and the menu has enough options to feed almost anyone and everyone in your party. The Scramble is my favorite. It’s meat on skewers with classic vegetables on skewers as well with a teriyaki sauce and spices and comes over rice. The menu item names are golf references but even if you don’t know golf you can figure out the menu. The staff here are incredibly nice and dedicated to servicing Mulligan’s. This restaurant has some of the longest histories of employees staying at a job of any restaurant I’ve been to. They are so kind and attentive to detail, it’s amazing and heart warming. Know that if you have a long wait for Mulligan’s there is a reason and it is worth the wait. Head up to the bar and grab a drink and enjoy the conversations while you are there.

We ordered the chips and spinach dip and the toasted raviolis as an appetizer. It was very good. I order a salmon Caesar salad and my husband ordered a hamburger and waffle fries as a main entree. We were very pleased with the portion size, taste, pricing and customer service efficiency. I really enjoyed my experience. I will definitely be back !

I am not a fan of sports bars or golf. Golf is probably my favorite thing to fall asleep too. So when I walked into this place I did not have high expectations. They were busy in a Saturday afternoon, but that's not a bad sign. The menu is bigger than you would think. Prices are decent. This place gave me the vibe of, "what if Applebees had a heart and a brain?" My food was good. The waffle fries were fresh and tasty. My french dip sandwich had good flavor and a generous portion of au juus. The beer cheese soup was interesting. It tastes like a cup of cheese, with similar consistency. This is not a bad thing. I recommend to anyone to dip their waffle or french fries in this soup. It was delightful. My one gripe: the meal names. It's like something you expect from a restaurant on a gold course. I know this place is near a golf course, but it's in a strip mall. Cutesy names for your food that have very little to do with the actual dish are frustrating for patrons and what I imagine are a logistical nightmare for staff. Nearly every menu item had a golf related name. It's not amusing, and my aging parents could not remember what it is they wanted to order, or what they ordered. They didnt know you had a french dip on the menu until I pointed it out - "The Matchie" or something. The bread was sort of bland and a bit much at the same time. One or two menu items with a golf-y name is cute. Nearly the entire menu is excessive. The restaurant otherwise was clean and not too noisy. The waitress was efficient. Several different sports channels were on the many mounted TV screens. If you want a decent meal and feel like reading the entire menu from front to back, I recommend this place. Think of the lost time from folks reading their menu! That's time you could be spending flipping tables and seating more hungry customers. Next time I go, I'll have an order of "golf cart" with a side of "caddyshack" or something. In summary, go ahead and give this place a try if you end up having the misfortune of traveling down Manchester street for an extended period. That road is crazy!
