Review Asian House - Ellisville

The woman at the counter was clearly disappointed i wasn't Whyte and pretended to not understand my perfect English. I sarcastically asked in Chinese if she spoke English and whatever level of shame she had came to surface for a moment. I wasn't offered anything to drink with my meal or asked how my meal tasted. An older Whyte couple came in and i saw how she treats her regulars. Not surprised, she bought into the conditioning...i hope she gets transfered to a north city location and works the window for life! Perish in your rage lady! Food was pretty good but saliva is hard to detect in Asian sauces!

The lady was very rude & nasty! I asked a question about the rice, and she snatched the menu out of my hand. No reason for that so I left...geesh

Husband loves the sweet and sour chicken and I love their sushi! Our last order we received the wrong rolls, but they were still good. Their lunch special is a steal!

The food here was absolutely amazing! The waiter we had was super kind and helpful. I would totally go here again and again. I loved it so much!

Went here for lunch today after reading the positive reviews and was not disappointed. The restaurant is cozy and the staff is super friendly. My wife and I were both going to get sushi but when I saw the menu I had to try the hot braised chicken. When the food came out, the first thing we noticed was the nice presentation. Both of our meals were delicious and the portions were perfect... not too much but not too little. My hot braised chicken had a little kick too it but not spicy. The menu says you can request a spice level so next time I plan on kicking it up a notch. So far this is our favorite Asian restaurant in this area and plan on going back often.

I'm okay about this location. The food is really hot coming out which is great but I didn't like how bland they were. I grew up eating Chinese food both Americanized and authentic so it bummed me out that I could make them on my own without paying a high price. I had the house special chow mein and I didn't think it was worth the price. Could be that specific day tho.

Tried Asian House tonight with high hopes. Atmosphere is terrific! Menu is varied without being overdone. Employees were pleasant, not overly friendly but capable. Ordered 2 appetizers and they were prepared well. Unfortunately the Moo Goo Gai Pan (which is literally Chicken and Vegetables) had only mushrooms and carrots - no bamboo shoots, no pea pods, no celery - not even broccoli as a substitute. It’s served with a very small amount of rice, about 1 cup. We asked for more rice and they brought out another small portion. When the bill arrived, they up charged the Moo Goo Gai Pan $1 over the Chicken with Vegetables menu price and up charged the additional 1 cup of rice for $2.50. Btw, just for your information, they don’t appear to serve beer or wine. I guess I’ll just keep looking for a decent Asian food restaurant with fair pricing.
