Dear Food Diary: Last Sunday afternoon, I just happen to walk by Sunrise Bakery & Cafe, hunger struck so I went in for a quick bite, Steamed chicken bao and "yun yeung" (coffee, tea and milk). I wasn't expecting much, same usual stuff from any HK bakery w

Best bakery! Whenever my mom, sister, and me are feeling hungry, we all resort to this bakery for a quick snack. I do like the sesame buns, almond stick, napoleon roll, walnut cookie, and the chocolate cakes. The employees are very nice and friendly, as well, but I do wish that they spoke a little more. Otherwise, this bakery is amazing, and I hope they make more awesome treats for everyone to enjoy!!

Been coming here for at least 7+ years. Totally love their cold milk tea. I come almost once a day just to get that. Their tea flavor blends really well with the milk yet doesn't let the milk overpower the tea taste unlike a lot of other places. I also like how they use half and half / cream instead of powder milk

I used to come here all the time for its coffee. Unlike other Bakeries their coffee is extremely unique in flavor and the employees are also cooperative when it comes to adjusting sugar levels. There is also something called coffee milk tea which I recommend everyone should try one, it is a combination of you guess it, coffee and milk tea. You won’t regret it!

I have tried the coconut bun, the coconut pineapple bun and the raisin stick, all of which were delicious, however, the first time I bought the raisin stick it was stale, I was able to return it for a fresh bun instead with little hassle. The best part about the bakery aside from the wide variety of sweet treats is the affordability. My only is recommendation is that they staff be more personable and friendly.

I have not been there on site, but today (3-16-16) one of our clients brought our office a chocolate mousse cake and it is to die for! It's scrumpdilliumptious and really light and fluffy yet satiating with only one slice. Definitely hope to be in the area some time and check this place out. Happy eats!

You cant beat prices in this place. Congee and mei fun is not bad for $2. The selection for cakes are also pretty good. Soft, moist and not too sweet. But my all time favorite is their taro bubble tea. I dont know where they get them, and i’ve had a fair share of taro bubble teas, but theirs is the best so far ❤️

Always a great choice for breakfast of lunch. Good selection. I think it's better than the other popular place. Sometimes they put out out of the ordinary tiems. Always delicious.

Coffee is so so, but there buns are really good. The bad thing is, they close early so if you decide to go there late in the afternoon. They do not have anymore buns.
