Every time we come to NY to visit, we always make a stop at Big Top. Best ice cream around. My size in the pic is a kiddie (great sized portions) for only 1.95, reasonable prices overall, friendly staff. Love the soft serve flavor options here, can’t find them in Virginia.
Great ice cream stand. They carry my favorite (and usually not common) flavor of ice cream. Soft serve is always great. Good size portions and even better prices. Not too mention it's open later than most of the ice cream joints around. CASH ONLY. Highly recommend.

Big top always has my favorite ice cream!! The staff is great and it makes going there, worth it. The flurries have a good amount of candy and the banana splits are to die for! The strawberry milkshake even has real fruit instead of a sugary syrup. I can’t wait to go back.

I have no idea where the first picture is from... not this location. Some great flavors of soft serve if you catch the right weeks. Make Walnut is their best buy hardly offered this year. I question some of the combinations some weeks.... like lime and lemon the same week... sometimes there isn't a flavor I'll even try...
This location has been a staple to the area and I try to keep going here, but hear from others another area ice cream shop has larger cones for cheaper... still I want this location to remain successful.
I have to stop there when in town at least once. Its a place my Grandfather took me when he picked me up to stay at their house for weekend when I was little. I am 71 , and in the fifties, there was threats of "THE BOMB" so i was scared to be without my parents in case. Anyway we would stop there and get ice-cream. Lol maybe that became an excuse to get ice cream

I haven't been here in years, I have a preference for another spot, however it was great enjoyed the ice cream and the people who work there are very sweet and kind, I would definitely go again
They have the best ice cream. We come from Trumansburg just to get it. The staff is wonderful. The owner is the nicest man ever. I like that they give you an menu of flavors for each week so we can plan our trips around our ice cream favorites.
An absolutely incredible selection/variety of ice cream and styles. Soft and hard, lactose free, 3 types of sundaes, kids-specific flavors, floats, banana splits, ice cream sandwiches, dips, and just about anything else you can think of or want.
They also have traditional “grill” foods, like hots dogs and burgers.
Regardless of what you order, it all tastes great and is reasonably priced.
This is our go-to ice cream shop.
Love that they have a variety of soft serve ice creams & that some of them change weekly! Had a favorite from my childhood, teaberry! Hard to find, tasted great!
It is a nice place to stop if you are on what us locals call the Miracle Mile. My Dad knows the owner and he is a nice gentleman. It's one of the few places that have one of my favorite ice creams called bubble gum.
Always a fantastic experience at Big Top! First stop of the year ... blowing snow and cold doesn't stop us!

I have the best memories of going here with my Nana and Papa Weaver when my sister Tara and I were little. I would get my bubblegum ice cream and I would set up a little area where I would sell my homemade cards that I made and other arts and crafts that my Nana and I made together. It was so nice and I had the best time. I loved walking to the ice cream shop from their house on Perkins Ave. I will remember those things for the rest of my life. I no longer have my grandparents, but the memories are with me as if it was yesterday and one day I'm going to make it back up there with my husband and our three sons and take them there. Always one of my favorite places! If anyone remembers Jeanne and Dick Weaver, I'm sure you'd remember her and I sitting up there with our ice cream cones and homemade gifts! The sign said "Cards by Ryan!" I think it was so nice that the owners would let me do that. I think I sold them for .25 or gave most away, but it was so much fun!!! Thanks for the awesome ice cream and the amazing memories! Lol!

Been going here since I was a kid. Awesome owner and make sure you pick up their schedule of flavors. Each week there's something new to try. Also, just found out they open every Saturday before St. Patrick's Day. Just a note for the future.
