Amazing food!! Their bread on the pizza and calzones are fantastic and their use of oils in moderation make everything taste amazing.
It also feels like most of the employees speak Italian or have accents, so maybe I’d guess it’s somewhat authentic Italian pizza.
But if you ask them if their fried pizza or breakfast pizza is an Italian thing, they’ll get angry at you and say no of course it’s an American thing.
Who knew
It was busy but got sat immediately with reservations. The gnocchi was some of the best I’ve ever had. The complimentary bread wasn’t very good but we got the caprese and enjoyed it. Bottle of wine reasonably priced. But overall amazing Italian food. Highly recommend the pizza as well
Appetizers were delicious, some kind of creative pizza bites.
Dinner was also good and the standout for me was the service.
Our waiter was excellent… knowledgeable, personality and attentive.
It was very enjoyable dining.
First time in Encinitas and while I escaped a business conference for a peak at the ocean, decided a pizza would hit the spot. As a New Yorker, I am very opinionated about pizza and Buona Forchetta did not disappoint. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and I was immediately greeted by a friendly waiter eager to share information on the menu, which simply has too many amazing looking pies for one person to order. I am always a pizza bianca person and couldn't resist egg, truffle oil and Italian ham. Pizza was out in a few minutes, hot, perfectly cooked and the ingredients all complemented each other. Hey New Yorkers, you should eat pizza in San Diego at Buona Forchetta!
Food is incredibly great! We had a Carbonara, Margherita, and a Martina pizza. Martina pizza was perfect!! Friendly staff and good price. Definitely recommend.
Some of the most authentic Italian food that I have ever had in California. The meal was amazing, and the employees combined with the lively music create a friendly atmosphere that you do not experience every day. Indoor and outdoor seating options available. Dog friendly This is my go-to casual restaurant for my lazy Sunday evenings. Your taste buds will melt at the sight of any of the dishes prepared here. My favorite dish was the chocolate mousse by far. You want to arrive at around 4pm for dinner to avoid waiting longer for your food, because the restaurant gets busier around an hour later. This cozy restaurant really surprised me with their flawless customer service, beautiful food, and quality building. I will definitely be coming back here.
Very good and consistent Italian food. The pizza is good and would always ask about specials because the octopus was amazing.
Good service, delicious food! We had sea bass which was the fish of the day and tried panna cotta as a dessert.
