Got a lovely spot this evening on the patio. It was a truly amazing experience and my entire family felt like we were at home. Of course you'll need to wait for your food - it's not fast. But it's RIGHT. And it's hot. And it's delicious. You won't be disappointed. They even have their own Nonna. Well done Nicola's. Well done. (Food photos are after first bites were taken.)
We had a wonderful "first-time-but-won't-be-our-only" experience today. We had pizzas and a side of meatballs. It was all so good. The pizza crust was thin and crisp ❤️❤️. The meatballs were a meal themselves so we left stuffed. The service was great too!
Everything was high quality and the service was spectacular! We were treated like family. Owner's daughter came over and we exchanged talk about the old country - Frosinone and Ceccano! Very good sauce and other meal items were great. Definitely coming back.
Hubby and I came for dinner. No reservations but we were seated immediately. The service was good. The food was also good! I could see staff consistently cleaning tables and chairs after each table was vacated. I appreciate their dedication to that, however it made the wood chairs somewhat sticky, and I had to peel myself off the chair when it was time to go. - Ambiance was nice, real tablecloths and small candles on tables, etc.
We just moved to this part of town and had been wanting to try this place ever since. Today we decided to eat here, and it was amazing! We had the cheese curds (which were like mini mozzarella sticks), garlic knots, pepperoni Stromboli, Sundried tomato and basil linguine, and our daughter had Spaghetti and meatballs.
It was all amazing. Fair pricing for the most part. A little slow in service..... but the taste and quality of the food made the wait worth it.
We can’t wait to go back!
Amazing location, best service I've ever had, gourmet food! Thank you so much Tamara for making out night great and going the extra mile! Sit out on the porch where there's light at every table and heaters, they have thought of everything for you.
Very nice environment. Staff friendly.
They don’t have sangria.
Food was delicious.
Bruschetta, calzone, gnocchi, baked pasta, every thing well seasoned.

What a great place ,a little bit of Italy right here in Port Charlotte. cute as a button great atmosphere food is absolutely excellent. Had the Italian Grinder with fries which is one of the lunch specials just the right amount of meats ,cheeses and veggies in a beautiful what seems like a handmade Italian grinder roll . The wait staff is excellent friendly spot on. The bathrooms are clean just the whole restaurant really nice place . food is superb for those of you they have a wall of wine . Want to take home some goodies they have a few shelves of pastries, sauces and a few other items to cook at home with. Just drop by and see for yourself you will be pleasantly surprised definitely you all should come ,sit, and enjoy. Maybe even on their outdoor Terrace.
Yum,Yum,Yum. Italian made by simmering all day. Ravioli and garlic pieces of bread...add a salad, some good Moscato wine, and dessert.
The atmosphere was a traditional Italian restaurant, complete with Rat Pack music. Service was great, too.
Highly recommend it!
THIS IS A MUST-TRY ITALIAN RESTAURANT.
The Owner and Staff make
YOU FEEL WELCOME & LIKE FAMILY in their house. I ordered chicken francese and if you like chicken francese order up! Mangia Mangia BOOSTER if you like big portions... halfway through I said I'll take the breast and some pasta home...LOL... I ate the whole thing it was that good!
The young lady that took care of me tonight was on her game, FACT THEY WERE ALL ON

🍕Must go back for Pizza🍕
First time trying. Pizza was delicious, cheese was amazing & tasted so fresh. We got the Bianca pizza and would definitely get again. Can’t wait to go back and try some entrees. Debra Lee was so personable and sweet. She made our first experience a great one. Also love the Italian music, makes you feel like you’re in Italy :) We will be back!
Dined outside since we arrived without a reservation. Friday night was busy. The wait between ordering and arrival of food was pretty long. Thank goodness for the galic knots!!! Definitely order the knots!! Delish.
The Lasagna was very good. The Chicken Marsala, however, was like buttery Chicken Breast and Mushrooms without the Marsala or wine flavor, and the shrimp in the Gamberi Parmigiana still had the tails on. Also we were told we couldn't get the Stromboli because there were too many 'takeout' orders ahead of us.
This was the first time at Nicola Kitchen, I was Happy with the portions and the service and the price. 5 Stars!
Good food. Very nice server. We had carbonara and chicken soup. Salads were fresh and crunchy. Garlic knots are good and plenty. Nice Italian music. Will probably go back to try the pizza another day.
So after driving by this restaurant on Hwy 776 for more than 4 months, Ken and I decided to stop in today for lunch. We read today that they’ve been here in Englewood for 29-years. They’re definitely doing something right and that is their food/service/atmosphere!
Oh wow! We’re we impressed. From the cute inside restaurant, to our sweet server Kayla, ask for her, she is an awesome server...To the awesome bottle of Chianti and many, many more great bottles of wine to choose from. To our appetizer of mussels in wine and garlic sauce (whole sliced garlic, yum), to MY Tina’s Frutti di Mara, oh yes, this was Awesome! To our cappuccino and Tiramisu. The lunch was Fabulous! We highly recommend Nicola’s Italian Kitchen and will definitely be back. With our family and friends!
