Always friendly staff and great food. Huge potions and fresh tasting ingredients. Haven't been since I was little and it was the same as I remembered :)
Good italian dining. Very good (not the very best) italian dining when you're in the mood for such fare you won't be disapointed here. Priced reasonably we have found the service to be good.
My second time there, 1st time was fine, but not good enough to come back all the time. Have a beach place nearby. Food was ok...prices good, atmosphere mediocre but all of that ok compared to service! Waitress was a total B! Tried to give her benefit of doubt 3x since I arrived at 8:15 and they close at 9..Really wanted to give place another shot! Oh well, if Farlows is too packed it's ok to stop next door, but waitress will probably be pissed. (Just sayin) : )

Delicious food. Steak and pasta. Doesn't get better than that! The food is full of flavor and portions are Large.
Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions and navigating the menu.
Enjoyed the Christmas sangria. A red wine with blueberries and strawberries in a chocolate rimmed glass.

Being a native new Yorker I'm always on the hunt for the best pizza in the area and this place is my go to in Englewood. Always look forward to lunch when headed this way. Authentic Italian. Today was pizza, but the whole menu is outstanding!
We find this amazing place accidentally, because the one we wanted to go to was closed on Mondays. We are so grateful, because this place is place to go for Italian food - the most incredible dishes you can get...simple but very clean place and stuff are very welcoming and attentive...when we ask to meet the owner so we can give them our compliments, the lady humbly came and after we express our gratitude to her, she gave us little story about how her and her husband became to be owners : previous owners were retiring and her and her husband was working for them for over 25 years, to their shock they suggested for them to buy this restaurant, they took this opportunity and bought this great place and they are running it to our great satisfaction. Appropriately named, Mama's Italian Restaurant is like gathering at the dinner table. We were seated quickly and Maria, our server, was friendly and attentive. Our portions of veal parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs were platter sized and tasty! We ordered a plate to go because the gravy was so delicious. A great find in Englewood, FL for authentic Italian food. We'll be back. Thank you Maria and the staff at Mama's.
The absolute BEST Minestrone soup AND the BEST pizza in Englewood in my humble opinion! I seriously doubt that anyone would be disappointed!!! ❤️🇺🇸😎
Nice place, eaten there twice now, once for lunch, and once for supper. They weren't very busy for lunch the time we were there, but it was very busy the night we were there for supper. The food was very good both times. Cheesesteak for lunch s good, and the pepperoni & sausage pizza we had for supper was great. Even busy, the pizza still came out quickly, and was hot and fresh. Our server also had a party of about a dozen or more she was tending too, so our drink refills were a bit slow. All in all, great food, and friendly staff. I'm sure we'll be back again!
The Homemade Sangria is the best drink I had all vacation. This establishment is a staple for every vacation any member of my family goes on. Cozy atmosphere, you can tell the owners care about the guests' experience. The entrées come with salad and everyone gets free bread. Also, the pasta comes in very generous portions so be prepared to take home left overs. Will be back next year.
Monday night. 4:45pm. No wait. Seated right away. 99cent draft specials from 12-5pm. I ordered Ziti for $1off & hubs ordered spaghetti w/meat sauce for $1 off too. Waitress Michelle was very experienced, had a sense of humor & took great care of us. They also offer a 16oz steak for $16.99 on Mondays too. My ziti noodles were a bit overdone, wasn't as well seasoned as usual but still good. Hubs dinner was very good as well. Nice lettuce salad or minestrone. Nice touch is every beer is served with a VERY

The food, service, and atmosphere are what an Italian eatery should be. It's wasnt super fancy but everyone, the staff and clientele was having a good time. This is fostered in the kitchen. Can't wait til they reopen.
This is a very good, traditional and authentic Italian restaurant. The food is great and a real taste of Italian fare. Very similar to my Italian family's home cooking and if anything is comparable to that, you know it is made fresh in house. The veal parm my older cousin ordered was exceptional, the Alfredo I ordered was true to tradition and very filling. The bread is addicting! Fresh made Italian bread, it is THE best Italian bread I have had at a restaurant and I am very selective. I do not like "Italian bread" store bought. The white sangria was delightful and refreshing. A 5 star place. I would avoid the chicken parm though, was a bit disappointed in the flavor of the sauce, the dish together and the quality of the chicken. But generous servings for every dish. A note, our server Lisa was both very professional and thoughtful, she went above and beyond for our table by making sure my younger sister felt very included in the dining experience. Will be going back!

I like the food here. Sometimes the service is less than perfect. However, I would and have recommended dining here to friends and clients.
This restaurant is hands down amazing service that is quick and friendly. From being seated, to taking our order to the food coming out they all work as a team servicing the customers. Even to cleaning they are quick to clear tables from sanitizing and vacuuming to keep areas clean for dining. We have been in Florida for 4 years and have never had service like this! They manage this restaurant very well not only all the customers being quickly served but they had carry out coming in and out with no wait!! And it was packed!! All around a great experience!! I also want to give a huge shout out to our waitress who was wonderful, Ortencia!! She was fabulous!!!
Hubs and I went for date night. Cozy place with authentic natural tasting Italian food. Very clean. Very kept up. Alot of care goes into this place. You can feel it. All the family raves about it. <3 line out the door so plan ahead.

Our waitress Lisa was AMAZING!!! The whole restaurant runs like a well oiled machine, but she really stands out...She was VERY friendly and accommodating to my family and was happy to give recommendations on the menu...I asked about HER favorite salad dressing, she said Italian so I said yes, & it was amazing...she was bringing out more drink refills & had ordered us more garlic bread before we even had to ask for it. ALL our food was great, the portions were huge & are brought out when they were ready, not "sitting in the kitchen" waiting to come out. She was on top of EVERYTHING. My 14 year old son had noticed and I told him that he should tell her that and he did. He said "You know, you are REALLY good at doing your job" and you could tell that it ment alot to her, she had such a huge smile while she thanked him & said God bless your heart. It was such a great moment for all of us. She came back a bit later with some candy that she said she went & got it out of her purse because she was so flattered. I could tell he had made her day & hope that she can think back on him saying that during those times when she has to deal with those "difficult/unhappy/you just cant please customers" that ALL wait staff have had to deal with at 1 point in time or another...(you know who you are, get over yourselves we're doing the best that we can)...believe me, personally working at the 2018 TripAdvisors #5 ranked top burger joint in the country for the past 6+ years, I Know what I'm talking about....Go to Mama's Italian Restaurant to eat, if there's a line, it's worth the wait, and if you're lucky...You will get Lisa & the same phenomenal service like we did
