V and S at its best! Great customer service and delicious sandwiches. If your just stopping in for a quick bite, I’d suggest the Italian or the cheesesteak special. If you have a few minutes to wait, my personal favorite is the buffalo chicken cheesesteak. For a real Italian sandwich, try the prosciutto. With a side of fresh fries or corn fritters, I could be there every day! Tony, the owner will take care of any concerns. Tell him that you read this review.
This was my first visit here. The turkey sub was delicious. My friend and I each got subs to go on our way to play disc golf in Akron. What I noticed right away was the roll. It was soft and so tasty. Then the portion of turkey was incredibly generous. The mayo was excellent. I had run 5 miles earlier that morning, and the turkey sub hit the spot and fueled me up for walking around the disc golf course. Every now and then I get a sub somewhere and I think, "that was mostly bread." Not this one. It was loaded with meat and cheese. I will definitely be stopping by V & S again.
The steak specials are excellent. The owner/cook cooks all of the ingredients together so the meat is infused with sauce. It may not sound like a big deal but it makes a big difference.
These guys are awesome! I used to work right next door and I went there every single day I worked with ZERO complaints. They're always really friendly, the food is excellent, and there is a wide variety of sandwiches and food to choose.

Tony makes the best cheesesteak the Philly way NO sauce or NO onions,(have to ask for it that way) the true Philly cheesesteak (except the cheese wiz). Tony-owner/manager is a wonderful person with a smile always on his face. If I had a pick of a gorgeous steak or Tony's....Tony wins hands done BIG CON YOU NEED DELIVERY ....I can't get one or a huge fight between Lizzy and I. Tony's number two fan....Lizzy

Best sub shop in Ephrata. The hoagies are stuffed with meat...not like the two whole slices you get on subway subs. Cheesesteaks are out of this world!
