Review Dixie Chili - Erlanger

Tried this on recommendation from a friend that is from Cincy and wow! Skyline and Gold Star have nothing on this place. So good I even bought a case to take home with me. Wish we had this in Louisville!

While the staff was friendly, the diner clean, and the service was fast we did not enjoy the food. The spaghetti that our Cincinnati chili was served on was very overcooked and lukewarm. The chili itself was bland and thin; we've had better.

Picture displays receipt vs what I received. I called & was advised to call third party delivery service (which could not help since my order was not placed through them) When I sent my fiance to Dixie Chili to get the rest of our order they called the cops & ban us before having to give us the rest of order. Worst service ever!

Amazing place, cool staff, awesome food. A great Cincy chili spot.

Grew up eating Dixie Chili in Newport, KY. Ordered a 3-way as dine-in and coneys to go. Tasted as delicious as I remembered. I live in Florida now and miss the Cincinnati Chili!

I’ve grown up in Cincy and I’ve tried all kinds of Cincy styled chili. The most common and well known places are Gold Star and Skyline chili, there’s also Blue Ash chili as well. Up until I tried Dixie chili, Blue Ash was my favorite chili place. Now I can’t see myself eating anything other than Dixie! It’s different than the other Cincy style chili, in the best ways possible! It’s not overwhelming in spices. Some chili’s are both too sweet and spicy in my opinion. Dixie does a great job in balancing all of the aromatic flavors. I believe the reason why Dixie chili is the best is because they’re one of the original recipes for Cincy style chili; this place has one of the oldest Cincy chili recipes. I’m a bit of a history buff on this topic. Anyways, I’d highly recommend the 4-way or the chili man dip! Both were really the best Cincy chili I’ve ever tasted! I simply cannot stop raving about this place! I’ve eaten here a total of 3 times within the last 2 days. That should tell you that it’s really good food. Every time I’ve walked in, the staff were all super friendly and welcoming. The place is super clean, the music was at an acceptable level every time I’ve gone inside to eat. The one downside is that there’s only one bathroom stall for the women’s restroom, but at least there wasn’t a huge line to use it. Going at hours no one else will be there was a good choice. It does get a bit crowded at dinner times. I’d highly recommend anyone to give this place a try at least once.

I ordered a ham, beef and Swiss double decker with no tomato, got a single with tomato and the bread wasn't toasted (didn't know I needed to ask). Camp Wash. Chili, McAlister's, Dave & Buster's all toast their bread, or at least ask you. Also, the girl didn't know "beef" and "roast beef" were the same thing.

First visit. Really enjoyed the conveys. Better than Gold Star, different than Skyline. I should not have waited so so long!
