The atmosphere is amazing. The food is second to none. My wife and I get steak and fish and we share. The salad bar is the best in town. Oh and the mud pie, well we are always to full to eat desert there so we get it to go. The staff is great from the host to the server and the bartenders. The Chef’s that run the grill are some of the best grill men that I have ever had the pleasure of tasting their creations.

Always great service, great prime rib, steaks you name it, and the salad bar is a treat in itself. They have always done their best to accommodate us even at the last minute, and for what you get the price point is much lower than the quality!

Went with five friends. Zac was our waiter. He was very attentive to our requests. I had a delicious NY strip steak, baked potato and salad bar. We enjoyed our lunch very much! I highly recommend this place!!

The Cork, has always & forever been phenomenal! - By far the Best Restraunt in the area to eat at! - if you get lucky enough to get waited on by Jazz; then it’s suddenly the best restraunt in the nation! St. Elmo’s cries at that point! - God bless TT! - love all of Ya’ll!!!!!

My husband and I had dinner at Cork 'n Cleaver tonight. It was our 1st time visiting. My husband had steak and baked potato, I had Hawaiian Chicken and baked potato. I also had a Pina Colada. Our dinner's were cooked perfectly and had great flavor, the staff was very friendly, our waiter was very attentive and overall, it was an excellent experience. We will be back.

We had dinner with three other couples, and despite our large group, the service was very prompt. The salad bar was fresh and delicious, as usual. The scallops special melted in my mouth. I love this place!

My family had my birthday dinner there. The food was delicious and our waiter, Andrew, went above and beyond to see that we all enjoyed the evening. Will definitely be returning.

My husband and I decided to go out for a nice dinner Sunday night. We arrived at Cork and Cleaver about 6pm. We waited just a few minutes to be seated at a table. Our server Tyler came over and got our drink order and we decided on an appetizer of caps & cheese ($6.95). The appetizer did not take long to come out and were very good cheese filled mushrooms. We both ordered the center cut New York strip medium rare, baked potato and salad bar ($27.95). The salad bar was old school awesomeness! Lots of interesting options for your salad. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the baked potato was fresh baked, light and fluffy, served with real butter and sour cream. We had a lovely dinner in the low lit Evansville classic restaurant.

Battle of the Salad Bars. I find myself frequenting Western Ribeye and Ribs on the other side of town. For years, locals have praised their salad bar as the best in town. After a trip here, I find myself second guessing why I made so many trips to Western Ribeye for their salad bar and steaks. The steaks at Cork 'n Cleaver are just as good and I think the salad bar is a little better. (I prefer romaine lettuce and spinach to iceberg) Prices are pretty average and nothing too expensive. I would recommend lunch or the early bird specials if you're a little short on cash. If this place updated the interior and brightened things up a bit, I might have to make reservations more often. Nevertheless, I'll be back for the steak and salad bar.

Get the salad bar.. Just get a small cheap entree and salad bar, wait can you just get the salad bar? if so do that. Make sure you go at lunch time, much cheaper.
My girlfriend says to avoid the philly cheese steak, she said the meat was very low quality and did not have a good taste.

I had shrimp over rice, shrimp was good but I've had much better. All I could taste was bell pepper in the rice. Shrimp came with a well made clarified butter.

Salad bar was amazing, anchovies, pepperoni, artichoke, fresh fruit, ect.

decor is dark and depressing, very old, I'm okay with this as I like the dark

Should go at least once. We joined a group for a birthday party on a weeknight. My bf had never been there before, so I was excited to see his reaction to the place, since it has been a favorite of mine since high school. Many reviewers are saying it needs to be updated, but the atmosphere is the appeal for me.
The service was nothing to write home about. The salad bar was good, like always. My bf was excited to see scallops on the menu, so that is what he ordered. Unfortunately, they were very gritty. I hope this one incident doesn’t keep him from going back.

Anniversary Dinner. We went to the Cork and Cleaver for our 12 year anniversary. I ordered one of the specials, an 18 oz Ribeye, cooked medium, with the salad bar and a baked potato with everything. My steak was perfect and delicious. The baked potato was awesome. The salad bar was average. My wife's filet was undercooked, even though she ordered it medium well. I tried a bite and it was raw. Our waiter, while pretentious, was good. He acted as if we were at a $50 a steak restaurant. For desert we had the Mud Pie, a coffee ice cream, with chocolate cookie crust with whipped cream and shaved almonds. It was great. Overall, besides my wife's undercooked steak, it was good. The decor needs to be updated, and it was very dark regarding the lighting.

The food is really good, but the decor and the salad bar set up both need some major updating. Feels very early 90s and the salad bar is not at all visually appealing.

Great place for fine dining. We often go here for fine dining, especially Mother's Day or Father's Day. I get the Terriyaki Chicken. Always incredibly good. Dad loves the Scallops. Mom always finds something she loves as well.

The salad bar is very good as well. I enjoy some of the odd items like the white fish and sardines. Don't know where else you can those on a salad bar.

Different, but not?. I love this place because it has a lot of the same things you can get at other retaurants but done in a different way. They have an amazing salad bar, and a good atmosphere. they also have a great early bird special so the best time to go is for an early dinner.

Loved it!. My boyfriend and I went there for the early bird special on Saturday. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly, the salad bar was great, and the desserts tasted pretty good as well. Our service was also excellent--the server took great care of us, even though he clearly had his hands full with a big table across from us. The manager also spoke to us on the way in and the way out, and seemed apologetic about our table, even though I thought it was perfectly nice. The only complaint I had at all was that they have no beers on draft, which I thought was strange for a restaurant with such a full bar. I would absolutely go back to this place--it was a great experience.

Anthony was our waiter. Best service we've had there so far. Meal was scallops for myself and my wife got the ribeye. After tip, 87 dollars. Not the most we've spent here but pretty typical for a visit. This time her steak was slightly undercooked but when you're hungry, it doesn't matter. Food time was about 7-8 minutes from order to table. Salad bar was delicious as well, it passed that time. Worth the visit if you're looking for good food with exceptional atmosphere. One of the better steaks in Evansville.

Awesome Mother's Day lunch. Food and service couldn't be better. We were a party of 8. We ordered several items and none disappointed. Prime rib, lobster, and a unique pork chop dish. Excellent salad bar and deserts. Wish I could return but was visiting family for the day. If you are ever in the area it's worth a stop. I don't think you can be disappointed.

I made reservations, and requested specific seating. The restaurant was fully accommodating. Also, Cork 'n Cleaver still has the best salad bar in the area, which both of us enjoyed. In addition, the service was outstanding. For dinner, my friend and I had simply excellent entrees. From the rather substantial wine list, we ordered a satisfying Cabernet. I had a filet mignon, and she had prime rib. Both were cooked exactly to our specifications, and were absolutely delicious. I had a baked potato with butter, and she had a twice-baked potato. Just great! We made room for dessert, and we were both really happy that we did. The raspberry cheese cake was - and I'm not exaggerating - the best we've ever had. Eating here was a relaxing, satisfying, and memorable experience. I'm looking forward to returning.

I had my birthday dinner here yesterday and couldnt be more pleased with the food or the service. I had the King crab legs and my Mother had the special of baked scallops. Of course the wonderful salad bar was included! Our waiter was great, as was all the staff. One gentlemen even helped escort my Mother to the car at the end of the meal. I got a complimentary dessert to finish the meal, a piece of fozen Mudslide pie.

Went here on my lunch break. Salad bar was delicious. So many toppings to choose from. Twice baked potato was creamy and tasted great. I look forward to trying other things and going for dinner.
