Really good food and great service never been before hoping to go again.
One of our very places to go! Food is delicious and fun atmosphere in the bar! Love their fried chicken and their beer is very cold! We bought a sweatshirt to help advertise! Have attended several work parties there and it's a perfect place for a dance!

Thank you for catering our wedding! Quite a few guests were telling us it was amazing food! A special thanks to the bartender for being extra nice. He went out of his way to give me the cork from our toast as a memory. Excellent!
Stopped in for lunch and had the ribeye special with fries! The staff was warm and friendly and my food came out quick and hot!
Definitely will be coming back through in the near future!
I had the best lunch in a while there!!!!!! I knew they had good food from a class reunion years ago , but, this is exactly what I wanted when I felt like a tavern lunch. I devoured it!
A hidden gem! Really enjoyed our trip to Hornville Tavern. Went in for lunch and got the fried appetizer platter and it was huge with lots of selection. Finished lunched with a delicious double cheeseburger and fries. Everything was very reasonably priced, would definitely recommend, and look forward to going back.
My husband and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary and decided we had to try their pork chops. Such a good decision! Their pork chops are amazing and their service was awesome too! Will definitely be back!
The old saying that the hole in the walls serve the best food applies to Hornville Tavern. I had the Ribeye and did not regret it. It was tender, juicy, and oh so flavorful with just the right amount of fat to keep it tender and full of flavor. It made my mouth water and my belly thrilled. My friend had the smoked chicken, it was awesome smoked chicken as per my friend. The German Potato Salad was delicious, loved it. And the Baked Beans were good a little different but good. My other friend had the Ribeye Sandwich which was good, had just the right amount of fat to give it flavor and crinkle cut fries, they were excellent for fries. We were all extremely impressed with our meals and service.

In my worldly travels, I ran across this little place, a bit off the beaten path from the interstate, however, these are usually the best finds. So I gave them a whirl.
Place was clean with ample parking, has 2 entrances at the front, leftside is the restaurant and the roughshod is the bar/tavern. This place serves alcohol, but was a neat rustic atmosphere on the inside, very cool. Old timey tin on the ceiling in the restaurant side, board and batten walls very neat. I wanted a Bison burger, but was informed they were out and on backorder, so I got a cheeseburger with with everything on it and onion rings. The meat was hand patted and not frozen, over a 1/2" thick upon arrival to my table and had the best flame broiled/ grilled flavor of any hamburger I've ever eaten. Juicy, this burger was GREAT!! The onion rings were nothing Steller, shame they weren't like homemade beer battered ones or something. Sweet tea was good, not super dark and light to medium color and was not super flavorful of "tea" flavor. Service was very good. All in all, this place is worthy of driving out of the way if coming off of the interstate, such as myself and having some of the local cuisine.
Been here 2-3 times with my sister-in-law & her husband, Jim & Laura Richie-Runion, and every time I am blown away by how good their back ribs are!! I’m from Atlanta, GA, & we know Bar-B-Q. Give the Tavern a try, if you haven’t already!
Great food and service. Shared a breaded tenderloin and a ribeye steak sandwich with my gal and both were outstanding. Friendly service.
Excellent, energetic service and equally fine diner/tavern style food. The pulled pork sandwich and smoked chicken entres were delicious. The mashed potatoes appear to be instant and not real.
