The menu is superb, ambiance is great, service is good..but Katie the manager is amazing! She went above and beyond tonight. We stumbled on the restaurant because we are staying in the hotel, but we will return even when we aren't staying at the Exeter Inn. Katie greeted us, made sure everything
The pros.... The food is really good and the pricing on point. The Cons... We were at the bar and the service was terrible on a Friday night. Long waits and uninterested bartenders.... UPDATE! Went back on a weds night... the bartender was terrible. Attitude and rudeness is not how u tend bar UP
To start on a positive, the tomato soup was delicious and our cocktails were good. Unfortunately the rest of our experience was terrible. Being sat right next to the largest table in the restaurant and next to the staff computer when the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty was confusing. Spen
Went for Easter Brunch- delicious and lots of options! We've hosted multiple family events there as well and they've all been wonderful, staff, food and event wise! Love the Inn!
For anyone traveling to New England, it is worth visiting the little town of Exeter and stop by Epoch Restaurant. I tried the Fried Green Tomatoes and Short Rib Cavetelli, ending with the Apple Cobler. Great atmosphere, great food, great service.
Great meals..pancakes, omelettes, crab cake sandwich..all good. pancakes came without any garnish except syrup and could have used fruit or at least butter. Service was attentive yet leisurely. Saw some nice looking specialty cocktails but we didn't try any. Great atmosphere in a historic inn.
