I can't say enough for this place! First the food is to die for. Everything I have had there is phenomenal. Everything!! We had our event in their library last night and the staff went above and beyond for us. Made sure we had everything we needed, and accommodated our every whim! Such a fantastic place for lunch, dinner, drinks and a great time!
Great service, great food, nice atmosphere, great place! We had 5 in our party and ordered a different appetizer and entree apiece so we've sampled a good bit of the menu. Enjoyed ourselves!
Much closer to a real Irish pub than most of the corporate fakes you see in the U.S., the Auld Shebeen was packed when we went Friday night. They have a great selection of craft beers, both local and national. We enjoyed the filet and the brisket from the regular menu, both very tasty. The staff was efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.
Amazing service, amazing food and drinks!! The employees are the best and the managers are phenomenal! Karaoke night on Friday and ladies night on Saturday is always where I am at!!!
This bar is the best with its staff and atmosphere upstairs and dancing and karaoke night 😊
Been to Ireland, and the Shepherds pie I had here at auld, tasted exactly the same. The live music was authentic. If you want a true Irish meal, and experience, this is the place. Felt like I was back in Dublin.
We stopped for dinner on our way through back home to Ga. This place is amazing. Great atmosphere and food was amazing. Top place for sure.
Lots of rowdy fun with the Irish songs and fiddle playing. The food is great Celtic fare and much improved from what was offered a few years ago. It is crowded when it's band night. Very enjoyable place to go and relax.
Welcoming atmosphere. Great food, management, and staff. Also, the best musicians.
Our new family favorite. Great atmosphere, great music, and great food. I love the fish and chips, and my daughter thinks the chicken tenders are the best in Fairfax. We always have fun. Such a nice option to all of the chain restaurants in NoVA.
Located in the heart of Fairfax City and not far from 66 for out of towners, the Auld Shebeen is a great Irish restaurant and so much more. The environment is authentic, warm and welcoming no matter if you're eating dinner on the main floor or dancing in the cellar. All the standard Irish fare is offered on the menu, as well the gameday foods like nachos and chicken fingers. The Guinness Stew and Fish & Chips are favorites with the regulars. The bar is fully stocked with a few extra whiskeys of course and a quality rotating tap selection of local brews and loved standards. Mmmm Guinness :)
The Auld Shebeen also provides entertainment! Flat screens for the games. Darts on both levels. Trivia and karaoke nights. Acoustic musicians can be found upstairs and the bands rock in the cellar. They have college and EDM/dance nights as well :)
The staff is nice and personable. The management are always present and interactive. There is plenty of free parking in the area and Fairfax City is perfect for a nice post dinner stroll. If you haven't been, get to Aulds! Slainte :)
This is hands down one of my top 5 Favorite Irish pubs in the DMV. The owner is nearly always there, he's approachable, kind, fun to talk to and has a great Irish brogue🍀. Ashley behind the bar is smart, witty, knows her drinks and her customers! The music is authentic, the tvs usually have soccer and rugby as every good Irish bar does. The food is fantastic, the Shepard's pie is my favorite and comes with a veggie which is a win for me! Price wise they get it, Irish are a working people and accordingly their prices are affordable. Happy hour isn't too busy and the only time I come in so I can't speak to nightlife. Brilliant pub!
