Absolutely incredible. Shrimp & lobster roll is insane, clams are delicious. The west coast burger is amazing. The food is always fresh, the drinks are always kept full and the service is always on point. Love you Tavern 292!
We loved it! Everything we had, from the burgers, to the lobster and steak, to the wedge salad, and lobster mac and cheese was delicious. The drinks were on point too. What's more, the owners and waitstaff were extremely friendly and hospitable. We will definitely be back!
First time there i had the steak and lobster. The service was great. Our waitresses was right there whenever we needed anything. Now the food. My steak and lobster was of high end NYC restaurant qualify, comparable to Sparks, Wolfgangs etc.......also was the PorkChop my friend had. Mark Spencer thanks for turning us on to this place. Cant wait to go back!
Amazing staff and food. The total package for a night out. The host, cocktail waiter and our dinner waiter were all excellent and friendly.

The best in the area! Never ever a bad meal. Everything on the menue is delicious! The staff is so friendly and always make you feel welcome. The owners Soto and John are top shelf.

Excellent EXCELLENT restaurant! My wife and I started coming here MONTHS ago, and I've never been disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The specials are constantly changing, which always means something new to try. Beer list also changes very often, which makes for a nice way to explore local beers, craft brews, and other tastes and match them with your favorite foods.
They are very attentive to customer dietary needs as well. My wife has celiac, and MUST eat absolutely gluten free, with even the slightest cross contamination being a major concern. Staff at 292 ALWAYS knowledgeable on what is and isn't ok to eat, and if a server isn't sure, they're always willing yup check with the kitchen. NEVER had an issue.
There is something for everyone at Tavern 292! My wife and I enjoy it so much, we had our wedding reception in their party room!

WOW! Tonight, we ate here for the first time. The service was great (thank you, Janet!) and the food was the best we've had in a very long time!! We can't wait to go back. Highly recommend the thick bacon appetizer!!
I have been patronizing Tavern for a while now. I have never been disappointed with any of my dishes and their service is friendly and fast. You will not be disappointed if you go there. It does get busy Friday and Saturday nights - so go early as they do not take reservations. You could always wait in the bar for your table having a Moscow mule.
The Menu is full of delights and, after many visits, we've yet to be disappointed. The service is exceptional and everyone on staff is just great. Highly recommended; one of the best restaurants in Essex County!
Went here for lunch with a colleague. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere and the food was wonderful. We both had steak quesadillas and ate every last bit. Delicious! Will definitely return!

Tavern 292 has a great menu. Good food, great prices and good service! Can't go wrong.
The burger was very good and thick cuts of bacon on top. French fries were very crispy and good.

Amazing!!!! Burgers we so good prime rib also so good. . R waiter Jim was unbelievable. We sat at in the bar area were able to watch the game. Perfect night. Looking forwards to going back real soon.
Been there twice now. The tavern bacon appetizer was amazing. Steaks were done perfectly and the beer list included some NJ craft brews. Will be going back again.

Very nice restaurant! We love the selections, and the tasty, high quality food. We are definitely coming back again. The mussels were very fresh, and the burger was excellent, and cooked exactly to order. They also have a nice selection of fresh salads. We had the California style with delicious portabella and grilled chicken.
Honestly the service here is some of the best I've ever had. It's prompt, kind, and accurate. Food is good, but on the pricier side. Very large variety of eats with above average drink list. Kinda small parking lot.
This was difficult on deciding 4 stars vs 5 but settled on 4 due to price.
The Good:
Great variety of food. Burgers, salads, seafood, brisket, steak, tacos, fries, veggies, sandwiches, wraps, etc.. The fried pickles were good but the included sauces made it great (sweet Thai chili and spicy chipotle mayo). Tacos were good as well as the fish and chips. I cannot say enough good things about how attententive the service (Leah) was. Other staff seemed good as well from watching other tables. Large covered outdoor seating area.
The Meh:
Smallish parking lot. Prices are higher than I expected but maybe that's normal for the area? I was just passing through.
The Bad:
None.
Had the boardwalk burger with the fried pickles on it, plus curly fries with a side of chipotle mayo. Undeniably bomb. Super fat burger patty and the fries were great.
I've been here multiple times for lunch meetings over the past year. It's one of the only restaurants in the area open for lunch. The atmosphere is great and the food is fantastic. I have been working my way through the menu and haven't had a bad meal yet. Food is definitely fresh and made from scratch. Buffalo Chicken Avocado Egg Rolls are great and the Tavern Steak Sandwich is a tasty generous portion. Alyssa is also a great bartender!
Came here for the first time. Food was delicious. Great portions-left full with no leftovers. Resturant is clean. Tables are nicely spaced.

The food was delicious. I ordered an avocado roll. It's listed on appetizers but it was like having a full meal. The waiter was excellent. He answered any questions we had and then asked if we enjoyed our meal. He went the extra step. The place was very cozy and nicely decorated
The food was amazing, I got the blackened mahi mahi and it was SO good. Can't wait to go back to try the lobster risotto.

My best friend is moving away and we chose Tavern as our place to eat, drink and say our goodbyes.
We talked for hours and not once did Olivia try to rush us out of the place (having been a server myself, I know that's tempting).
So thanks Olivia, for a great dining experience and to Tavern 292 for great food.
