Reviews Sky Chinese Restaurant

Really good chicken dishes. The scallion pancakes are excellent. Another review said they were stingy with the meat but as of now I've experienced no issues. A combo platter is at least 50% meat which I can certainly not complain about. UPDATE : year later still the best Chinese in the area hands down and I’ve tried every new one that’s 50+ minutes away. These guys are consistently the best tasting(outside NYC Chinatown Wo-Hop of course), and more often than not the best priced. Fast as a bat out heck and generous with sauces. A++

Edit 6/19/2019: The family that takes care of the place has changed, making the visit there 100% pleasant! I'm impressed by the service such a young "waiter" offers! Old version: This place is hit or miss, some items are acceptable, others are a tasteless mixture of food that needs to be helped by the accompanying mustard, soy and/or duck sauce. Also the chicken is shaved really thin, so much so that it can be mistaken for skin. The spicy items, they can be ordered mild, usually are good. A lot of times the mom is literally yelling at her kid (?), so it may not be the most pleasant experience around. Still I do go for a quick take out meal every now and then.

This place is the best around. I hope they don't change. Their food is like the Chinese food you used to be able to get back in the 80's and 90's. I find most Chinese take-out to be the same cheap garbage. This place is definitely higher quality. Egg-rolls are great, their soups are awesome (try the house special) and General Tso's is excellent.

I can't believe the poor reviews. Best lo mein I've ever had. Chock full of meat and tasty sauce. The egg rolls were huge and crunchy and not greasy. Wontons were big and delicious. Definitely just a take out place but really good food.

Yup, just like a previous review this is under new owners. Such nice people, even threw in a free sample of the Hawaii chicken. Delicious. Have tried all the local Chinese places, none can even get General Tso's right. Chopstick makes great General Tso's, fried rice, dumplings, egg rolls, all the usual fare prepared right. Amazing with all the places around this is the only local one we like...

this place has NEW OWNERS now, and the food is DELICIOUS. i met the husband and wife who suggested i try the hawaiian sauce on the chicken wings, and WOW was it good. the wings are really big, unlike most fast food places. we ordered about 6 dishes for some guests the other day, from wide noodles to shrimp to soup, and all the food was devoured. nothing is oversauced or over salty. i highly recommend.

NO ONE HAS BETTER TOFU!!! I am moving out of Farmingdale soon but I will drive out there JUST FOR SKY SESAME TOFU because nothing compares. Crispy & delicious literally every time- I've only had positive experiences at Sky. If you've been unsatisfied with tofu at other restaurants, TRY IT AT SKY, your mind will be blown. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Super friendly staff too!!

Hot, delicious, old-school Long Island Chinese food like the kind you grew up on. Especially delightful is the wonton soup - rich, flavorful broth, delicate strings of roast pork floating throughout, and the most flavorful, hearty, plump wontons make up this ultimate comfort food.

Under new ownership now. It used to be called Hong Kong but now it's chopsticks. The food is great. Cooked perfectly, and the lady is very polite. I'm eating their food right now as I'm typing this.
