Another classic slider joint on the far west side. This place hasn't changed in over 50 years. The sliders are just that... while I think there are better out there closer to downtown, but these are still great. Good ole gut busters. Not much else to say... come down and get some!
Old school Detroit burgers. Service is fast and friendly. The burgers are juicy and have a nice crust from the grill.
Craving 1 Now...... Grew up on Greene's burgers....Bel Aire subdivision weekend subsistence when parents went out on the weekends. I believe we used to get 10 "green-ie" burgers for $1, maybe $2......1960's.
Choc shakes were worth every nickel!
Gotta put this place on my "Bucket List"
I'm sold!. One visit is all that it took, and now I'm a die hard fan of Greene's! The staff is really nice and fast. Definitely will be adding this to our work lunch rotation.
Used to live .5 miles from here and ate here 3x a month. Live in TX now and go here as soon as I leave the airport. This place makes my favorite slider, period. Always order 2 double cheese, fries and a coke. Heaven.
My favorite burger joint since I was a kid. The true definition of a slider. Hands down my favorite chili and the fries dipped in it...perfection! They're finally accepting credit cards and the 24-hour service and carry-out option is a convenience utilized by so many over the years! Easily a favorite not only for myself, but for all of my friends and family!
Some of the Best Hamburgers in Metro D!. Dining room is impeccably clean, service is friendly and burgers are perfect. Don't change a thing!
Best Sliders around!. Better than White Castle and I love White Castle!
They need more of these around. Once a month I dream of this place from my happy slumber in Lafayette, Indiana, and wish they had one down here. it might teach them a thing or two. I will say this, the wait is worth it, and you are only going for the burgers. Don't expect thrills, or a wine list, expect burgers with taste.
Grub 'n' Brew In Da Zoo
+4.5
In the interest of full disclosure, I have a sentimental attachment to this place. The Mrs. & I ate here A LOT in the early years of our marriage; so, I'll be the first to admit that those memories help gloss over some of Greene's "rough spots" (most notably, the occasionally less-than-friendly service and the less-than-spotless environs). That said, even without the aid of the good memories, I can definitively say Greene's serves up one of the finest (if not THE finest) sliders in metro Detroit. If you ever find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and head out to that burger joint on Orchard Lake that looks like it's straight out of 1955 (because it IS straight out of 1955) for a couple double cheeseburgers w/ "everything" (i.e. grilled onions and pickles). You won't regret it; and, if you're lucky, you'll come away with memories that will keep you coming back (along with the sliders, that is).
The Best Sliders. These are the Best Sliders around with Emphasis on Sliders not Mc Ds(which will rot your insides) or Fine Diners... Sliders no one compares. They are supposed to be somewhat thin and greasy with lots of Onions.... As far as the staff they seemed fine to me I don't go there for the staff....
Great sliders/ Rude/Dirty workers. If you want a late night quick stop grab of sliders, this is the place. Please dont expect to be treated with respect, because you wont find that here. Crew is cold, and the place is filthy!
It's Greene's...What do u expect
We were just driving by on a road trip and stopped here for lunch. It's an affordable local fast food sort of restaurant. You order at the counter and there is minimal seating but we were able to find 3 seats together. There was also a separate part of the building for takeout, with a separate entrance. We shared burgers, chicken tenders, fries and onion rings, it wasn't gourmet but felt more like real food instead of the super processed stuff at the big chain fast food restaurants. It felt like a local favorite.
Sliders and fries a staple of America and these are right up there with the best in town
First time in over 25 years they got my order wrong! That’s the all time record. I ordered mustard, onions and pickles and no ketchup, the carry out gal even said no ketchup and I said no ketchup. I got ketchup, no mustard. Pretty good record but I’m going to let them know I couldn’t eat them. Still my all time favorite slider restaurant!! Love you gals!
Super friendly staff and fast! So filling and price is super reasonable in today market haha found a new favorite go to spot
Good little slider place. Other than sliders only thing I've ever eaten were Onion Rings and Chicken Tenders. Both were delicious. Convieneant pick up window for carry outs. Also indoor seating.
Loved our cheeseburgers and coke. Friendly staff. Enjoyed dining in
Some of the better (greasier) sliders you can get in town. Great competition to hunter house. These burgers (in comparison to HH) seemed to have a better meat/bread ratio, a bit more flavor and better grilled onions/pickles. Definitely get your buns toasted. Onion rings were also better than HH, a lighter, maybe cheaper batter, but in all the right greasy, clog your arteries kinda ways. Not a single real complaint other than each meal is a steady murder of your arteries.
