This restaurant is nothing short of phenomenal! My family consists of a bunch of self-described foodies from New Orleans and we loved everything we ordered...tapas: lobster ravioli, some type of fried eggplant dish (my favorite of the bunch), garlic shrimp, and pork tenderloin...also had a pan of paella . All delicious...even the bread was awesome. Fantastic service and atmosphere as well. This restaurant is on the top of my to do list for our next visit to Fernandina Beach.

Excellent service and top notch food from top to bottom. We had salad and tasted a few of the Tapas. The Blue Cheese and Tomato salad was excellent and the best Tapas were the escargot in a creamy garlic tomato sauce and the pan seared calamari steak with capers and olive oil. Great selection of wines and beer.

I've been fortunate to have visited Espana for over 10 years now and each and everytime it gets better and better. The food and atmosphere is phenomenal whilst the personalities of all the staff, and especially owners Roberto and Marina, makes the experience that much better. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful place with our island.

Really cute and cozy place, good food and ambiance, would love for the patio to have kind net so the trees don’t dirty the tables and food lol but I would still come as many time as I can if I visit Fernandina town

This was a refreshing change from the generic (and occasional top end) steak and seafood places you generally find around the beach. We went with a party of four and all had appetizers. The shrimp with curry was excellent as was the escargot. The escargot was in a tomato cream sauce. Two of us had paella, one seafood and one meat. Excellent choices both as was a full dinner meal of the curry shrimp. I will be back if I am in the area again.

I LOVE the ambiance of this restaurant...Wait staff is always great and the food is really superior. For this little community that I love, Espana is such a wonderful culinary addition. The Spanish/Portuguese cuisine is awesome ! Love the tapas, as you can have several and taste more of the menu. Wines, beer & Sangria are very good...and when I am in the mood for paella, this is where I go.

Excellent food and service! We had several different Tapas so we could try new things - all were delicious! Omar was a great waiter, even let us try the 2 different wines we were trying to decide on to go with dinner! Nice atmosphere, will go again next time on Amelia Island.

I love this place! The food is amazing and the owners are delightful. I'm from Atlanta and I've been every time. I had the tenderloin both ways, the spicy shrimp, meat and cheese board, piquillo toast, paella and we also enjoyed the wine list

We did not have reservations on a Friday night and it threw them off. We say outside and it was a bit steamy. The staff was welcoming however and the food was DIVINE. Three of us shared five tapas. No disappointments. Yummy sangria too!!

Went for dinner during Dickens Days, so it was a little busy. Started with Sangria - it was tasty, but very “wine-forward.” My friend ordered the Lemon Chicken With a sauce, yellow rice and veggies. She said it was very good. I ordered the Shrimp Ceviche. It had a slightly spicy tomato base, and when it was drained a little, it was very good. I also ordered the Romaine wedge-type salad. It was very good - a very large portion of Blue Cheese crumbles, tomatoes and raw onions. I got the Balsamic Dressing - very tasty salad. Our server Robbie was good, but our food took over a half an hour to come with no explanation. The atmosphere is great!

The covered patio is so comfortable, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the food is AMAZING! We never wanted for anything, the timing was immaculate, and our server was friendly and present at all the right moments. Their fresh bread is so soft and fluffy, the food is all seasoned to perfection. I can't say enough great things, if you've never been you NEED to go! The Octopus was the very best I have ever had, so tender and perfectly paired with the dressing. You've just gotta go!

Excellent!! Appetizers were absolutely deelish, shrimp ajillo and the best chorizo I’ve ever had, so tasty but not too spicy. The paella Valencia was so delicious, cooked and seasoned perfectly. Great cozy atmosphere, great service. Delicious sangria too! My first time here and I would definitely go back next time I’m in town.

We ordered the eggplant appetizer (too bad I couldn’t remember the name) and it was so good. Panko crusted pan fried with manchego and sherry cream sauce. I could’ve ordered a second one for my meal! For our dinner we had the paella marinera for 3, and it could easily have fed 4. The flavor was spot on, the seafood so fresh and expertly cooked. The 2 negative things I have to say is that the white Sangria lacked flavor and alcohol. I couldn’t taste the white wine. Additionally both the bread and butter were cold and hard. I have higher expectations from a place like this.

Great tapas, reasonable price. Waiter was excellent. Great courtyard. Tried eacargot for the first time here. Loved the sauce it was in, and the bread to dip! Didn't have a miss here.

Impeccable service and the food was amazing! Great atmosphere for a date night or special occasion. We ordered the fresh catch grouper, hubby got it with shrimp & poblano sauce, i got capers & lemon buerre blanc. We shared the fried polenta tapas with tomato sauce and cheese which was to die for and bread and butter accompaniment. After we walked a few short blocks to the marina and got a front row seat to watch the sun set.

This is a great place. I enjoyed dinner here with my wife. The food was very good. Liked the chorizo and paella rústica. We had an excellent server, Omar, who explained everything very well. Make reservations as it gets full fast. It is a gem.

Definitely see what the hype was about. This was by far my family's favorite restaurant we ate at during our trip to Amelia Island. We ordered the fried calamari, which haven't had that good of calamari in years since we lived back up in NY/NJ, and we got the gambas mozambique, which was delicious and everyone wanted more of the sauce it was cooked in. My wife said she could've drank the sauce alone(definitely her favorite dish of the night). We also got the paella marinera and the paella rústica and both were so delicious but the paella marinera was absolutely incredible. The sangria was also a hit according to my wife and my mother, not too sweet or strong but tasty. Wish we would've had more time at the island to visit this restaurant again and order some of the same dishes and try more items on the menu. Make sure to make reservations cause you do not want to miss out on this place when visiting the area.
