The Hotel Ivanhoe Restaurant & Saloon - Ferndale - Photo album

I had dinner in the hotel about a month ago and it was very good.
The service was 'okay' and the veggies were a bit solid... BUT... but... the rest of the food was truly outstanding!! Spicy garlic prawns came with a sauce so sublime we used our calamari and ordered extra bread (warm and crispy) to soak it up! Great clam chowder and steaks cooked to perfection. Oth
We had dinner, twice, first night in the bar, second night in the restaurant. The service was great. Atmosphere is very comfortable. I enjoyed my meals, though they weren't "fancy". I guess depending on the season or town events, reservations at the restaurant are probably a good idea.
My twin sister and hubbies dined for our birthday. We all had something different to eat. I have never tasted such elegant flavors in each and every dish. We usually go to Ivanhoe about 2 to 3 times a year except for Covid. We all have NEVER had a bad dinner there. Its always delicious.
My wife and I came here for a date and had a great dinner. My wife loves the ambiance and we both loved the food. The bread was really good and the marsala steak was very good. The meat was tender and we'll flavored. And I loved that the chocolate mousse was made from scratch. We'll be back again!
I received a recommendation for this restaurant while staying at an Airbnb in Ferndale and boy am I glad that I dropped in. I visited during COVID 19 and unfortunately was only able to pick up food to go. However, the woman who answered the phone when I rang was extremely friendly. I asked her if th
I went to visit my dad for Spring break and he absolutely HAD to take us to local legend, Ivanhoe. The service was amazing, the food was delicious and free ice cream for my birthday was sweet! I had the rib eye steak and it was perfectly medium rare. They subbed extra veggies in place of a potato o
Great atmosphere and service. We were there for mother's day, needless to say they were busy. The server was professional and did not rush us at all. The food was wonderful, not trendy at all. The bar is a great place for a drink and an appetizer.
Great service and food. Thursday special of Chicken Cacciatore over polenta was delicious. The spicy shrimp and calamari appetizers were a great addition to the meal. If you plan on going on a Thursday, I would highly recommend making reservations.
One of the top 3 places to eat in Humboldt. Prime rib, stroganoff, clam appetizer, and the calamari are all to die for. Even the soups are amazing. Very competent staff, very rare south of eureka. Been a gem in the county for years and I'm sure it will continue to be.
I'm a big Triple D fan and when I found out that Guy started his restaurant career working here, I just had to come and see for myself! The pasta was great and the Calamari was even better. I haven't been back in a while, simply because it is 1 to 2 hours away from me, but I will surely make it back
The atmosphere and service was great. The food was good, but they use garlic in most foods, so be prepared to smell haha. They are a bit pricey as well. I think it's worth it for the occasional special family or date nights.
This Restaurant is Always Consistant with their awesome Friendly Service and Sprumpious Food. 5 plus Stars for sure. A Big Thank you goes out to the owners Dave and Barb Mooney. Job Well Done!
First time eating here after living in Humboldt 25 years. Excellent food and hospitality. Old Victorian inn is great ambiance for romantic dinner or group dinners. Will definitely go back.
This place was so much fun and the food was amazing! Stayed here a few years ago, toured the town and took a drive through the lost coast! Most amazing views, will never forget this trip!
