My wife and I visited on mother's day, and it was quite the crowd. We found a convenient seat at the window bar that was perfect for people watching. She ordered the gluten free pancakes, and I, the Greenhouse skillet. What a wonderful dining experience. The food was plentiful and intricately flavored. The waitstaff was attentive, even though it was easy to notice that they were operating as fast as they could. H&S has been added to our "must visit again" list.

If youre in the area and you want a delicious, healthy breakfast, go here! I was heading back home to Rock Hill, SC with my family Sunday(October 1,2017) and I had found you guys on the internet so I decided that this would be a good place to try. Based off the reviews and menu I figured it was a lot like the Yolk, a breakfast place in my town, but it was waaay better than the Yolk. I had the Greenhouse with a side of biscuits and it was sooooo delicious! I appreciate that local and healthy ingredients are used in the dishes as you dont see that as much as you would like. I would def recommend this place to anyone and I would def come back!

A bit of a wait on Sunday mid-morning, but well worth it. Delicious food, great coffee, and really nice staff. Highly recommend it!

Visited three mornings in a row during our stay to Flat Rock.....best breakfast I have ever eaten. The omelette and grits were outstanding and the service was excellent. Will definitely come back.

Truly amazing experience! You know when you take a bite of food and it makes you want to dance in your chair because it is so delicious? That is what their breakfast is like. Even my 13-year-old daughter had to close her eyes and savor each bite of food. Service was extremely friendly. There was a bit of a wait, but for good reason!! So worth it!

Ok folks, eat a snack before you come especially on the weekends. The wait is ridiculously long. HOWEVER, it is so worth it. Honestly, there are some super talented food artisans in that tiny kitchen pumping out the best tasting groceries I've ever had. EGGS Benny, skillet breakfast, lemon berry toast bread stuff....pancakes. Go !!!!

Ate breakfast there Friday morning and wow! Best breakfast I have ever had. It was very busy (people in town for Apple Festival no doubt) but our wait was not that long and service was fast and friendly. From the ambiance to the service to the food, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Can't wait to go back. Ya'll do it right!!

We are from out town located about 6 hours away, and loved it so much, we visited back to back times. Both times the waits were not bad (under 20 minutes). The staff was extremely courteous and bubbly even with the breakfast rush hour. The waitress recommend the house special Monkey Bread - do yourself a favor and get it when you make a visit - WORTH IT. They provided us with exceptionally friendly customer service, took our order and the food came out rather quickly! Their English muffins are house-made and fantastic! They’re not cardboard garbage you find in other breakfast spots. They have raw local honey on each of the tables which was a sight for sore eyes as I usually never see this anywhere! Everything we ordered was phenomenal, my daughters French toast was buttery-melt-in-your-mouth (which we used honey on it also). Over all, if I could give 10 stars I would for this local gem, it’s located in a quaint area with two adorable boutique shops for holiday gift finds. We never felt rushed to make room for others on the wait list. Nothing in the areas (boutiques and restaurant) are overpriced and I felt full and content after leaving. From the service, to the food and prices we left satisfied and will surely recommend this to all.

Great place for breakfast, right next to our favorite bakery/flat rock bakery. Egg sandwich was tasty, substantial and a little bacon made it a tasty combination. Fun twist to pancakes topped with homemade granola. Was there an off peak time and as we all know sometimes the service suffers. Maybe the servers had too much time to think as opposed to react. No worries :-)

We heard about this place from some locals in town why said we simply had to try this place before we left. We ended up staying another day in the area than originally planned, which luckily made it possible for us to try them out since they aren't open on Monday's and Tuesday's. And we weren't disappointed. This place is absolutely fantastic and probably the best food and service we've had on our entire trip. The staff is really friendly, upbeat, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They have a small outdoor seating area in addition to their indoor seating think can accommodate pets. This was another driving factor for us. The restaurant was clean and organized. The coffee was strong, yet delicious. They actually had organic cane sugar for our coffee, which we are usually hard pressed to find. They had a ton of gluten free and vegetarian options. Plus many meat options for my more meat prone spouse. We tried the gluten free Lemon Raspberry coffee cake which was moist and delicious. I had the Greenhouse Skillet and my spouse had the Corn Beef Hash Bowl. The flavor profiles of both were extremely diverse and we didn't feel heavy or weighted down after we finished. Overall, a wonderful experience and we will be sure to come back anytime we are in this area.

Well worth the 20min wait. I always struggle with breakfast in this area—my mind is hardly ever blown. Best monkey bread I’ve ever tried & a delicious veggie breakfast bowl! I love their dedication to sustainability and local foods!

Edit 4/22/22: They have recently renovated the interior and it feels a lot less crowded. More room to get between the tables. Food continues to be excellent, and the service is always so friendly. Our wait was about 30 minutes, but the food was well worth it and the service was friendly! My only recommendation would be that they get the buzzers to tell you when your table is ready so people don't have to crowd the patio and could wander over to the Wrinkled Egg to window shop while they waited! But the food! I LOVED my Greenhouse breakfast skillet (plus pork from Hubba Hubba Smokehouse, because why not?). The flavors were bright (the basil cream totally made the dish) and it didn't leave me too full, which sometimes skillets can do. Everyone else enjoyed their food too! I will definitely be back.

I have eaten breakfast at Honey and Salt twice now. I feel like I understand the meaning of the Southern term about food that is “smack yo mama good” when I eat this incredible breakfast. The cheese grits are some of the best I have found in the area. The biscuits and eggs are exactly how you want them to be-lightly salty, with a hint of sweetness, every flavor balanced and never overpowering. It’s easy to see why locals love this place and keep coming back. Coffee is also strong, tasty and comes in a variety of options with free refills. Only a 25 minute drive from North Greenville. Go get yourself a great Southern breakfast this week.

Our first visit and certainly not the last. Warm friendly staff. Convenient communication: you get a call on your cell when your table is ready. Indoor or outdoor dining. Varied menu. We chose the salmon sandwich which was truly out of this world. Parking can be problematic IF you don’t like parking in the lower lot and walking up a hill to the restaurant. But IF you need to add to your steps, you’re spot on. And there is ample handicapped parking right at the door.

Stopped in for breakfast. I had the smokehouse skillet - AMAZING! Brisket hashcake, pimento cream cheese, pulled pork, egg, cheddar, bacon, BBQ sauce & roasted tomato. The sauce was tangy & sweet, a pleasant surprise. Can't wait to come back and making my way through the menu! Fantastic!!!

This restaurant is warm and inviting - we never felt rushed - even though they are popular amoung tourists and locals alike. They feature several local vendors and a farm to market feel on their menu. We enjoyed a fabulous cup of coffee, a breakfast skillet and eggs benedict. The star of our breakfast was the Sweet and Sassy toast. Seriously a divine slice of heaven nestled in the mountains. Be prepared to wait - but its well worth it.

Service and food was great! Sad that we didn't get to try the monkey bread because they only serve it on Sat and Sun but this just makes us look forward to going back to the restaurant. We ordered the reuben (sauerkraut was great and not too sour), avocado toast, sausage and gravy, and french toast (very light and fluffy but could use a bit more fruit topping). Overall a great experience and really cannot wait to go back!
