Wonderful small business! Very small place with limited seating but service is fast so you sure dont have to wait long for a table to open up. They seem to be known for their pies as they have such a wide variety of them and seem a top sale, and they are delicious!. I enjoyed a wonderful omelette and their homemade biscuits and gravy. For dessert i had a lemon meringue pie and taste of the banana cream and blueberry pies, all wonderful and super tasty! If and around downriver area/Flatrock be sure to make a visit for a delicious breakfast/lunch. Recommend!!

Wonderful lunch. Had never been before and happened upon Kate's Kitchen just before 2pm. Asked if we could still get lunch and were greeted with a kind yes. Ordered a burger and fries that was absolutely fantastic! Best burger in a long time! Thank you!!! And the bun was perfection! I don't care for overly fluffy empty carbs hamburg buns. This was thin, grilled perfectly and still hot when it arrived at my table. I would order that meal all day long.

Went there at 1 pm. Very grouchy service. I heard the biscuits and gravy were amazing. Literally horrible. Needed salt and pepper but neither brought out any flavor. Family member got cinnamon french toast which were amazing. Not sure I would go back. Prices are a wee bit high and just as good everything can be gotten elsewhere.

Kate's kitchen is a cute little spot just off the main strip. If you blink yul miss it. It's a true country style place where they still use lard and are proud of it! Their breakfast is awesome, biscuits and gravy and are legit! They are also known for their pies and other baked goods. Haven't tried a pie but they look all kinds of good. Highly recommend. Just expect a line out the door.....

Food was good, everyone enjoyed their breakfasts. Service could have been better. When she asked I told her I wanted lots and lots of coffee with a ton of cream and since they did not have Splenda I took equal. I only received 2 refills. My cup sat empty, waaaaay more often than not. This is a small restaurant and there were MORE than enough employees to handle the dining room. I have managed restaurants with a FULL dining room and no one sat waiting with an empty coffee cup. Unacceptable. I have given the same drink order to every waitress I order coffee from. Even back when restaurants were packed! The owner/manager needs to talk to the wait staff and stress the importance of exceptional customer service.

Ordered a Chef salad... No egg, "shredded cheese" and the dressing tasted off. The people answering the phone and at the counter were rude. It use to be a nice place with nice people and delicious food. Now they overcharge and have become skimpy with the quality and are on rudeness overload.
