Consistently good! We usually get the buffet. Lots of choices on there. The crab Rangoon is probably the best in the area. We also love the sweet and sour chicken, beef broccoli, pot stickers, chicken lo mien and fried rice. I've tried others in Florissant and no one is as good.
I have eaten here several times an I can tell you, this is my new Chinese place! I used to go to a different buffet down Lindbergh a little further but it closed and my brother took me here one day and I LOVED IT! I usually get the lemon pork/chicken and crab rangoon or fried fish and shrimp (also with crab rangoon). The flavors really pop with everything they make and their trays in the buffet are changed often so nothing gets to dried out or stale. I'd give Chinese Gourmet a 10 out of 10!
Great Szechuan Pork!. I tried the Gourmet for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. (Directions note: Best way to get there is go north on Lindbergh to New Halls Ferry and turn right--2nd building on right; you can't turn left off N.H.F., unless you go into the shopping mall and come in from behind). It's a nice, simple, clean place. I avoided the buffet and ordered off the menu. The Szechuan Pork was traditional Chinese BBQ pork in small pieces, stir fried with celery, carrots, mushrooms, green onion, white onion, carrot, water chestnuts--all in a slightly sweet, hot sauce. It was just plain lively in the mouth! I also tried the spicy eggroll--definitely warms up your mouth if you like some intense heat. My half order of pork with the eggroll and hot tea was less than $9 and it was plenty of food. Most of the dishes are under $8 for a whole order; a few of the house specialties are about $13. I would definitely go back.
Great Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. Each dish is unique and full of flavor. However, it's mainly for takeout. There are three medium size tables and 1 small one.
Super sweet people that work at The Kitchen! Everything was super good but the Cantonese fried rice was definitely my favorite. The beef in the Vietnamese shaking beef was super tender and the boneless hot braised chicken was crispy. I will definitely be going back! For those that want to eat there just know that there are only 2 tables so you may not be able to eat there
New place in Florissant. I had the pleasure of visiting here last Saturday with my father. The inside is quaint with seating for about four different parties. The staff was amazing and attentive to give recommendations. We tried several different items on the menu. The portions are just right. I will say I was very impressed with their spring rolls. I seldom find places that actually put fresh pieces of mint inside. When I make these at my house I do the same thing, so that really left the mark with me in a very positive way. I will definitely be trying other items on their menu and hope nothing but their success. We need more small businesses in Florissant.
This was great! Everything I ordered was hot, fresh, and tasty. Pictured is the vegetable fried rice and the veggies were nice and tender. Rice was cooked through and it wasn’t overly salty. The hot braised fish was good, saucy, and wasn’t overly spicy. A must have is there honey pineapple bites (I can’t remember the actual name of them) but they are on the dessert tab and they are bomb! Fried pineapple, dipped in honey, sprinkled with sesame seeds…yes! Mouth watering!!!! My whole house was begging for more. Along with the sweet donuts…The kitchen cannot lose! Keep up the good work
Kristen was soo sweet and attentive! Intimate, clean, fast service. If you like the spot house, this is better! I’ve never had fresher crab rangoons in my life and the pho was perfection after a rough day I wanted to cry. I could actually taste ginger in the sauce for the crab rangoons. This food was a gift so fresh, and healing.
The Kitchen has become an instant favorite! Some of the best Thai cuisine that I've had since my last trip to DC. I ordered the Thai Curry Noodles. The flavor was uniquely complex yet balanced. I'll definitely be having dinner here on a regular basis. Great food and even better service!
This is the best Asian Cuisine I have ever had. The place is clean and the service is excellent. I hope they stay open for ever.
Good Food, Cute and clean place, and very pleasant workers! It seems like I’m there so often that I’ll know them by name soon! See for yourself!
Probably wouldn't of found this place if it wasn't for uber eats , but I'm glad I did it was one of the best meals we had in a long time but the fried rice stands alone as some of the best I've had in years.
Picked up dinner. Really cute decor. Nice size portions and food was delicious l!
We ate here for lunch today. Everything we order was freshly prepared and very good
I was very tired and didn’t want to drive 30 mins away for good Pho. So I took a chance and ordered the Vietnamese beef Pho noodle soup with extra meatballs via Uber eats, and I must say I’m TOTALLY AMAZED!!! The food was piping hot, came fast, good presentation and it taste fresh, so AWESOME!!! I had no idea I could get great Pho so close to my home! The meat was so tender and good!!! I absolutely love this place and will most definitely become a regular!!! My thanks to The Kitchen, please keep up the great work!
