On occasion, I’m that guy that will ask our waitress / waiter to have the chef make me their favorite dish.. whatever it might be! I love trying new things & I find that when I do pick a favorite I will not try anything new for some time, ordering only that dish. So I have to force myself to try something new – who knows maybe the next dish is the one I will love, even more?
Last night, the Mrs. & I visited one of our new favorite places. “Amore’ Fine Italian Cuisine” at Highlander Point in Floyds Knobs. I absolutely LOVE their eggplant parmigiana – and as expected once I found it, I generally order that. But I decided to spin the wheel & buy a vowel, telling our waiter “I love everything Italian, ask the chef to make me his favorite & surprise me!” I think he was a bit surprised by my request but readily agreed to do so, and so we waited.
What came out was the best possible combination of my favorites – I mean seriously, the number of tick marks I checked off of my personal favorites on this one plate was amazing! I suppose I was expecting a pasta based spicy seafood greatness that I would have loved. But that was not presented. This dish, I was told was a “one off” – not something that’s on the menu - but something he threw together for me to enjoy.
Beef Medallions with Marsala sauce. Three words.
Oh, my, word.
The steak was a perfect medium, topped with onions, mushrooms & arugula salad, the combination of that & spices was perfect. Needless to say, I am hopeful that he puts this on the menu. At $21.00 it was worth every cent and if allowed, I will eventually have to force myself again to try something different, but not for now! No – they only have one item on the menu as far as I am concerned!
Amore’ Fine Italian Cuisine, if it ever had to be, that was “last meal” incredible. Hats off to you!
My wife and I just had our first meal here. I normally eat half a meal and take the other half home. It was so good, I ate it all before I could stop. I am so full. Our waiter Chris was excellent, along with all of the staff. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only negative was the music was a little loud, and not the right genre for an Italian restaurant, but the food and service more than made up for it.
I can't say enough good about this place. No matter what I've had or how I've asked for it, it's the best ever. I'm on a special diet but don't let that scare you away from this place. They will accommodate pretty much anything you ask, and not lose even a bit of flavor. Bravo Amore'!!!

First time eating here. It was awesome. I had the five cheese lobster mac and cheese it was to die for delicious my husband had eggplant Parmesan and he absolutely loved it we're going to be back and bringing some of our family (kids and grandkids) we loved the atmosphere a beautiful place. The owner visited all the guest. He was so kids. The chief is the absolute best. This place has been open 5 months. We didn't even know of it, until our Wednesday mail, it had coupons. The line here was to the door. Loved it. ♡
So glad we found this place! We had dinner on 10/5/17 and it was one of the best Italian meals I have ever had and that is saying a lot considering I come from a family of Italian immigrants! I had one of the nightly specials, the beef medallions with asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Every bite was so good I never wanted it to end! My husband had a veal dish and loved it just as much. Kudos to Chef Al on fine Italian dining done right! We will definitely be back!

I know Al Papsodero, and once again he doesn't disappoint! Best meal I have had for years. I had the special of the day cod in lemon and ginger sauce. I wanted to lick my plate clean. We had the mozzarella logs to start and they were amazing. My friend had the lamb and pronounced it exquisite! Will definitely be back for many more visits. Plus they have the most generous wine pour I have ever seen. Cannot recommend it enough. Kudos Al. x
This place is the Bomb ! We are so fortunate to have a place like this here in the Knobs ! Tracy and I love the food and the vibe. Sit in the dining room for quiet conversation or have dinner at the double Bar and hang out with Amos. Not only is the food and bar amazing but the home made deserts are a must . Tracy loves the Seafood Stew and I rotate throughout the menu . Every meal has been a great experience.
Great anniversary dinner tonight with my hubby!! Al hit a home run with the entree’s; and Chris was a fabulous server who happens to make killer desserts!!!
Highlight: The Caesar salad was by far the best I’ve ever had. And the Bourbon sour apple caramel blended drink - #wow
We will be back!!!!!
Wonderful service!
Chef Al never disappoints, his culinary prowess is on point with the best restaurants in the area.
You are a master of your craft sir!
See you again soon.
I’m there often. Great food, attentive staff, cozy atmosphere. The best, maybe only, martini bar in so IN and it’s olny 10 minuets from home. Hope to enjoy it for a long time to come!
Eight of us had dinner last night and the meal(s) were each different and wonderful all couldn't say enough about them. We complemented the chef so much he came out to introduce himself. This restaurant is what they should be like, so inviting to have good conversation and a meal.
The food, staff, and atmosphere is consistently top notch quality.
Highly recommend. Don't forget to try the desserts!
I didn't think I like calamari until tonight. We must have never had good calamari because Amore's calamari is wonderful!
Chef Al is great. He's got the cutest ass on this side of the Mississippi. The way he struts through the restaurant with those powerful legs makes me drool at the bit.

Great food, and staff!! Huge portion size, so plenty left over! I'm not from the area but would definitely stop here again!
Food is amazing and the staff are super friendly and courteous. We're really lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. Peroni on tap. The seafood diablo is out of this world...nice portions of scallops, mussels, shrimp, lobster over linguini. Enough for 2 people to share or dinner tomorrow. Great job folks!!

So glad I finally tried this place. It was worth the drive from Jeffersonville. Food was excellent. Service was outstanding.
