Oh wow. This is really good. I was looking for soup dumplings. Cause Joe's Shanghai is closed after the pandemic. But one of my friends recommends this place. I'm so happy to find finally a good place. Fresh and tasty. I will come back for sure.

The soup dumplings here has to be the best I have ever eaten!! They don't break on you when you reheat them and compared to other restaurants the price is very fair. Parking is a nightmare so either go with someone that can drop you off and pick you up or take public transportation there

Food at Dumpling Galaxy doesn't disappoint but it's slow or lack of table service makes it hard to give it more stars. Not saying they are not good servers, they just move at the speed of slow. So if you're in a rush, this is not the place to go. For a nice sit down dining experience and you're not in a rush - then fine...sit and enjoy. Known for their soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings - all are good. Soup dumplings have a nice broth but the dough was a bit thicker than I would've liked. They do come in different flavors - presentation is pretty but I honestly didn't notice a taste difference from the usual flour ones. Still a fun thought - dough made of spinach, beets, or carrots just to name a few. Good comfortable seating - hidden gem inside the mall. Still a great value and meal option for snacking or family style dining.

I must say I was quite impressed for my first visit. I want sure exactly what to expect from a restaurant inside a mall. The decor is cute, the area clean and bright. They have booths along the wall and tables along the front. It was a little strange that there wasn't anyone by the front desk to welcome people. We stood awkwardly for a few minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Once we were seated though it was all good. The menu is extensive. Some of the dishes were on the expensive end for mall food. And there was about twenty different types of dumplings. We ordered lamb dumplings, pork with chives, soup dumplings, the house special fried rice and scallion pancakes. The fried rice was very good but the scallion pancakes were just okay. I found them a bit of too doughy. The dumplings were delicious. So tasty that it didn't really need any dipping sauces. The prices for the dumplings were very reasonable at around $7 per plate. I definitely will come back to try some more of other types of dumplings.

An amazing variety of dumplings, both traditional style, and some varieties I’ve never seen. The vegetarian dumplings were the best in my opinion! Also tried the lamb with squash, soup dumplings, pork scallion, and money bags. The service was the only down side, it was a bit slow.

11.11.17 - I was surprised by how good this place was because I thought it would be overhyped. The staff is very nice, english speaking, and patient. We ordered the spicy beef, shrimp and green squash, pan fried pork egg chive dumplings, and the pumpkin black sesame dumplings. All were very good and relatively affordable. I would recommend this place over Tian Jin and few other dumplings spots. On a side note, I was mesmerized for a while by the video highlighting mainland rural eating culture of noodles, chinese tamales, and rice roll dishes. I would definitely go back to try their other dumpling creations and non-dumpling main dishes.

Everything I dreamed it would be. Dumplings to hit: lamb and cilantro, duck and mushroom, pan friend pork and chives. The shrimp and scallop was ok but watery. The spicy beef was also good and so was the kelp salad. Spicy duck heads were tasty but a bit of an ordeal. Fried peppers were also excellent.

An amazing dumpling spot is to be expected in Flushing and this is no exception. We fed 5 guys for $21 each including tax and tip and were completely full at the end of it. They have a wide range of other dishes but we where happy to stick with the dumplings. Try the 'Lamb and Green Squash' dumplings as these are delicious. IG: @easty_eats 📸

I do not know why this place isn't rated higher. I'm not a dumpling expert but I know great food, this is great food. To many to try. The highlights tonight were pork soup dumplings, lamb soup dumplings, spinach and egg dumpling, and shrimp and crab dumpling. The resturant is sleek and modern, it is nice to actually want to sit and eat your food in Flushing instead of always doing take out. The server was knowledgeable and all of his suggestions were excellent. The food came out fast and prices are cheap 2 grown adults with drinks under $40 and brought home food. They accept credit and debit cards.

As a local, I’ve visited this place a good number of times. It’s a good place to go with family and friends. There are many different kinds of dumplings to choose from. I like mine steamed. Dumplings aren’t cheap, but they’re pretty filling. I typically order dumplings since some of the other foods can be a tad greasy. FYI: I love their scallion pancakes, but I’m trying to watch what I eat.

Yes, yes, the hype is true. This place is fantastic, and i wish there was one on every block. So many incredible dumplings, and I wish I could eat them every day. Lamb and Squash, pork and preserved vegetable are two of my favorites, but I have never had any i didn't like. I have to say, the service has always been pretty good, considering how many times they have to run back and forth to the kitchen to bring more dumplings. I would advise more people to come, so they open more locations, and the world will be a better place.

I have been going here ever since they opened. If you look at my reviews, you can see that I eat a lot of dumplings... I get it: Flushing is a mecca of amazing dumplings, many of them cheaper and closer to the 7 train than this place. My bf is a local and he was skeptical about my insistence on Dumpling Galaxy. Four varities in, and he agreed that it was worth my hype. What truly sets Dumpling Galaxy apart is the variety and unconventional ingredients that they use. I've tried 20 types which means that I still haven't tried them all. My absolute favourites are the pan-fried chicken dumplings (pictured), the pork and corn dumplings, and the dessert dumplings filled with pear & 8 treasures (seeds and nuts). Servers are attentive, helpful, and friendly, and the decor is shiny, modern, and clean.

The shrimp and celery dumplings at Dumpling Galaxy, in Flushing, Queens, mix shrimp with two varieties of celery. Simply delicious! My favorite dessert is the pumpkin-flavored globe with a sugary paste of black sesame at the core. You must go.

A friend of mine and I were invited to an event to watch a food documentary about the amazing Helen You back in July where we met and immediately starting fangirling over Helen and her story. We made it a point to check out Dumpling Galaxy ourselves in September and sampled as many dumplings as we could possibly fit in our bellies. They were all delicious: light, juicy, and flavorful. When we were about to settle our bill, another small tasting of dumplings was brought to us BY HELEN HERSELF. We were honored and equal parts agog and ecstatic at being able to share with Helen our gratitude for being able to partake in her joy and passion over dumplings. Dumpling Galaxy is a legacy, but I think you’ll enjoy the overall subdued experience of being in a place that lets the dumplings speak for themselves.

Native born Chinese visiting from out of town. Just phenomenal. The lamb soup dumplings and seafood dumplings were ridiculously tasty.

Service, especially the host, is quite slow. You'll be waiting for your dumplings for a while. At least the vegetarian ones aren't get flavorful.

Great place we loved the variety of dumplings you can get. Our favorite was the pan fried ones, we got 4 different orders of dumplings, so plenty of food (each order is like 6$ or 7$). We want to come back, this is the place to go to try authentic dumplings that are on the cheaper side. They are so good!
