Sunday Brunch @ Pampas Argentinas. I must state that the brunch menu does not scream Argentina, Undeniably, though, the choices are universal enough that no one can say that the brunch is not Argentinean. Famous for grilled meats, particularly beef, Argentina possesses an amalgam of cuisines, as do the American or New American menus. The ambiance at Pampas Argentinas does evoke an Argentine feel.
The complete menu is no less Argentinean than any Argentine restaurant that I have dined. I must also add that two reviews, by reviewers with singular critiques in Urbanspoon apiece, raise issues that I did not experience on this most recent Sunday.
I ordered the Steak/Chorizo skewer which comes with Spanish potatoes (chips) and pickled pepper slices. It is one of two brunch items with a $3.00 surcharge that I suspect was the reason for one diner's complaints. Both selections carry the admonition of the additional fee. The brunch also allows for one cocktail. Therefore, I do not visual that imbibing water was the problem as far as extra charges.
Back to the steak skewer, the steak was sinewy as the sirloin cut tends to be. Some chewiness is not unexpected. The flavor was fine and the sides were right. The Bloody Mary cocktail was strong and spicy. It may well have been the best that I have experienced. I have had many brunch Bloody Marys. This one is memorable.
My spouse chose a chicken soup, which was the soup of the day, and the eggplant vinaigrette appetizer. She ordered from the regular menu, electing to skip the brunch menu. The eggplant was an excellent preparation. I can not speak for the soup, but a very selective diner finished the bowl.
Have either a Macchiato or cortadito, The only difference is an Italian or Spanish name. In each instance, it is a good strong espresso, with a few added drops of steamed milk.

You Must Try This Place. I definetly think this is a place to recommend and that anyone who likes steak (although they have many other options) will love this place. Make sure to try an empanada (the vegetarian one is my favorite) and accompany it all with a nice bottle of Argentine wine.

I love this place!. I walked by this new restaurant the other day and it caught my attention because the decor is so lovely. I went back to try it a few nights later and it certainly lived up to the expectation. The atmosphere is great and the food was delicious. A+++

The food here is delicious! We waited about 10 minutes for a table (although it seemed they could have accommodated us sooner) at the bar. Be prepared for an easy-going pace. The waiter was great and very attentive. If you’re in the mood for good steak, try the traditional mixed grill for two and you will be more than satisfied!

The food was really good. We had the mixed grilled meats and it was phenomenal. The portions were appropriate and the service was very very good. Overall, it was a good experience. I didn't give it a 4 star because the place didn't having of an ambiance.

I live in Forest Hills and I've always been curious to try this place. However, since I don't eat meat it's a bit hard at times. I ordered the avocado salad that was very tasty and calamari that had too much pepper. My mother loved her steak, Russian salad etc. Nice solid service, but way too dark in the dining room. They need more candles!

Delicious and very reasonable brunch! We all chose steak and eggs... wonderful! We weren't rushed at all. They gave us plenty of time to catch up with each other!

The food and service was amazing. The Empanadas were not your typical chicken or beef empanadas that barely have anything inside, but were full of meat, peppers and olives adding a greater taste. I personally had the Steak Sandwich and added some of the house chimichurri sauce which made it all the better. The cherry on top was the staff. My wife and I truly enjoyed the staff - both accommodating and pleasant to speak to. Will definitely return.

Good food, good service, comfortable atmosphere. The entree portions are large. I had veritable mountain of meats for the Traditional Parrillada Argentina for two, perfectly grilled and seasoned. Salads are excellent. The dining room could use more light, and the background music playing does not fit with the ambiance expected of an Argentinean steakhouse.
