Phenomenal!! I started coming here a few months ago and I try something new each time I go. Every pastry I’ve tried has been SO good that I keep coming back for more. This bakery is a gem in Forest Hills and it’s in a good location right by the subway. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Try the hot dog bun or the coconut & cream bun, you won’t regret it.
Love Denmark Twist and Switzerland Bun. My husband likes the Coconut Tart. It becomes addictive especially since price is reasonable.

3.5 starts. This Fay Da Bakery is conveniently located right next to the 71st Avenue subway stop in Forest Hills. Perfect spot for commuters to quickly grab breakfast and/or lunch before heading into the subway. Fay Da is a popular Chinese bakery chain and there are many locations in New York. The staff at this location is very friendly, polite and efficient. During the morning rush, there can be lines for the checkout, but they move very quickly.
The bakery is clean and there are plenty of seating in the front. There is a ramp at the entrance, making it stroller accessible but not wheelchair accessible as the door is not wide enough.
The baked goods/pastries are towards the back in display cases and by the counter. The breads and pastries at this location are usually very fresh due to the high traffic that they get. They put new items out several times during the day. I really like their sponge cake and almond twist pastry. They also offer some savory items like curry beef puff, pork buns, lotus leaf wraps and sandwiches. This place is cash only. Overall, a great place to grab a quick snack or meal.
Ordered the mango moose, opera cake and black forest cake. The moose was delicious with great mango flavor and had the perfect sweetness. Too bad the same can’t be said with the other 2 cakes. They were so dense with no distinction between layers. Cashier was friendly and efficient.
Omg! Cheap affordable eats . Met here with a colleague for lunch. 20 bucks took us far. Had a couple of non dairy options too.
Excellent desserts having low to no sugar content and the delicious flavors one tastes are the actual taste of the genuine ingredients. Very reasonable prices. Top notch bakery.

Honestly one of my favorites since I was a kid, I’ll never stop loving this place and I love how they’ve kept true to their recipes through the years. Their steam buns are a staple and a must when visiting this bakery, they’re absolutely delicious! My favorite is the their pork bun. My other two recommendations to try is their chicken puff and their green onion bun! They have so much to choose from, so you’ll definitely find something you’ll love.
My favorite bakery to come get good eats for a great price ! This place deffintely brings me back to my childhood this is one of my favorite bakeries in the area .

I like the low prices and the decent baked goods. I recommend the hotdog bun, the chicken sandwich, the egg tart, the sticky rice in lotus leaf, and the chicken steam bun. I don't recommend the curry puff or the coconut cream bun it's too oily. Overall pretty good.
Fay Da Bakery is so cute, there are a lot delicious bunnies and cakes. Staff are friendly and fast.
delicious delicate cake, not very sweet delicate not much cream, tried only two cakes and both are excellent. and of course the price of $ 20 for a small cake is not so bad. thank you guys keep it up
