This is looks like your typical neighborhood Chinese food place from the outside but it's so much more than that. It looks nice inside and has a good amount of seating. The service was very good, they were very knowledgeable about items in each dish. We ordered the tofu pudding as an appetizer, very
FLAVORFUL, HOT, FAST, AUTHENTIC The pepper fish soup is excellent!! Amazing flavors, spicy, served HOT. Very large portion for the price. Enough to feed 2, maybe even 3 people. I had so much leftover to take home. Very generous amounts of white fish, eenoki mushroom, and sprouts in a clear pepperco
Great place. Definitely off the main strip which is nice since it’s more of relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Food was genuine and delicious. We had pork soup dumplings, they were soooo good. They also serve green jasmine tea which was also refreshing. The pork buns were my absolute favorite. I asked fo
delicious food and fast service! My favorite was the steamed whole fish
Everything we ordered was good. The pork soup dumplings was good but lack the traditional rich soup flavor. Don't get me wrong, still very tasty food. I will come back again.
We had a wonderful lunch here. We got the pork soup dumpling, dumpling in chili sauce, scallion pancake, and taro puffs for dessert. All of it was delicious! The dumplings were very flavorful. The scallion pancake was a perfect combination of crispy and crunchy. And the taro buns were a great flakey
The food was amazing. We couldnt choose, so we basically got one of everything. Absolutely loved the scallion potato cakes with beef and the soup dumplings with crab meat. The food comes out as it's ready and all of the employees there were so nice and welcoming. They gave us tips for keeping out f
Wonderful restaurant offering an authentic take. There are a large number of items on the menu. All of what we tried were flavorful and on point. The shiitake with Bok choy was delicately done, but while simple was exhausting taste. The cumin lamb had the right amount of cumin flavor and the lamb wa
Memories of Shanghai just moved to their new location with wider space and more seats. The new decor looks much cleaner, brighter and cozier than the old one. Customers need to place their orders online via scanning the QR code. The wait was pretty bad about 40 minutes for a 5-items order and the s
Their food is absolutely amazing. I’ve been a loyal customer ever since they opened in their old location. Now they have moved to Austin street and their menu has expanded. I love all the flavors of their entrees and especially sichuan cuisine. I have also tried their mapo tofu, steamed whole fish,
Excellent Shanghai dim sum restaurant. The best soup dumplings in NY, period. The restaurant is modestly decorated with limited sitting space. Kitchen is open so you can see all that's going on behind the scenes. Great service. Serve sizes are small so make sure to order more dishes. Each dish seems
Great soup dumplings at a GREAT price. The dumpling skin was thin and soup was flavorful. My only gripe is that I had a thirst after eating them which I guess was from the MSG. But what's Chinese food without MSG. Definitely my new go to place for soup dumplings. Also their chive pancakes are EXCEL
This tiny restaurant is tucked in the back of an alley between a parking garage and a police station. The alley provides some decoration and outdoor seating to overflow the 4 tables inside. A decent size menu has everything from pork and pork+crab XLB (soup dumplings) to soups, wontons, fried bites
Memories of Shanghai is easy to miss; it’s hidden in the back of an alley, but it does have an awning and some banners on the sidewalk. The venue itself is quite small and when it’s busy it’s very crammed. It seems to be a very busy venue; we visited an hour before closing and it was full. We had to
I used to come to this place all the time a few years ago. Recently I remembered it, and decided to check out if it’s still open or not, and to my pleasant surprise it was! I ordered the curry chicken dumplings and shrimp Shao Mai. The food here is absolutely amazing. They offer authentic Chinese fo
Unique dim sum experience. A little bit pricier than the flushing classics but really great quality for the forest hills area and worth it for the convenience. The flavors were a bit different as well but a good variation on the normal.
Updating. They have a Nan Xiang Xiaolong Bao style menu now. Soup dumplings were on par with the ones in Flushing. Great Shanghainese noodle dishes. Prices are also cheap. Highly recommend.
