Such a cute sandwich place close to CSU campus. A friend suggested we stop by for lunch. We both had the daily special which was the Poltergeist sandwich. Such a strong mustard flavor--it was so delicious! I also had a side of potato salad and that was a great addition. While we were waiting, we were checked on multiple times by staff. It made me feel well taken care of. I will definitely be back.

Taste is good but I paid 20$ for a child size sandwich and a .99 cent Arizona tea. Biggest rip off in Fort Collins. As someone born and raised on New York deli sandwich’s. This is embarrassing. Don’t waste your money unless you got money to waste I guess.
Edit: lol sorry for confusing you allow me to explain. they charged me 17.80 for sandwich and and .99 cent tea before tip( and I tipped 4$ because it’s not the emoloyees fault your sandwiches are a rip-off. So I’m sorry I spent $21.80 not $20. So you’re right I did lie I guess. We’re you gonna give me a second sandwich? Cuz that’s about the only way you could fix it becomes fixing you’re prices

If you're craving that type of sandwich that doesn't photograph well but tastes amazing, and is made by a bunch of college students in the most chaotic-but-somehow-still-functional open kitchen, then this is your place. Everything I've had is delicious, always fills you up. January 14th is my current fav.

The staff were nice, and the food was tasty. The two of us had a sandwich and a beer each, no chips or extras. And with an 19% tip, it was $50 bucks. Maybe it's worth it to you, but that's a little steep for me. The environment isn't bad but it's not that inviting either. The pickles are good, which is nice. But until I'm fine burning 50 bucks a day for lunch (for 2), I'll probably only go back accompanying friends.

Ate there today for lunch. Had the funky punky, which is what I always get (don't mess with success), but today the sandwich was exceptional. To add, the service was incredible, as it always is. I've been eating there since 1994 and it's always been great.

Worst visit to the pickle barrel in 27 years. The remodel looks nice, however the new ordering model isn’t as efficient as it used to be. We were in line to order for thirty minutes. Yes the long line is always expected, it’s a Fort Collins icon, but never have I waited in line that long. I watched five people walk out of line and leave because they were waiting too long. Prices are significantly higher which comes with the times, but if you are going to charge more, get the order right. We didn’t even get our pickles. We are at the PICKLE barrel. My sandwich wasn’t made to my order and the staff argued with me about getting the second soup I paid for. Disappointing. This used to be my favorite sandwich place in town.

Pickle Barrel has been a great go to sandwich shop for my boyfriend and I! We love the atmosphere and the food is incredible! Keep supporting our foco locally owned businesses! They are doing great work here!

3/5/2022. Used to come here when I was a student at CSU and then shortly after with my wife and kids. Visited the area this weekend and haven’t been to the Pickle Barrel in 15 years. Was looking forward to visiting one of my great memories from my college days. Always a solid sandwich and still is!
But…The staff were so rude as for us to never want to go back again. Waited at the counter for a long time and was not acknowledged at all. Then after many minutes, confused I asked if we needed to to something different to order or to fill out the order forms ourselves that were sitting on the counter. The very rude tall long haired guy told us they take our order but when they are ready with a HUGE attitude not even looking at us! It took another 11 minutes of us standing there for them to come over and take our order. Very uncomfortable and unwelcoming…
Will take my family and business elsewhere from now on. Very saddened!
