First off, the employees were super friendly. That being said...Worst tex mex food ever. I didn't eat any of it beyond a bite to taste and then spit it out, so thankful because the two people that did got food poisoning...My husband and oldest each ate a pork taco and ended up sick. The pork was sweet, which was super weird, the chicken tacos were bland and cold, and the beans and rice weren't even as good as canned beans and minute rice...also the hours listed on Google and their door are wrong. The photo I included was AFTER dinner, so you can see that everyone barely touched their food. I live very close, the food should NOT have been cold by the time we got there.

Not good food. “Green chile” is not made with a roux, it’s a salsa style - not a stew or New Mexico style. Potatoes in steak and potato burrito were old. Gross. Chips are store bought, over salted. I don’t get the great reviews. It’s anything but. If this place had or gets any competition, it’s done for.

Quick service on a Sunday morning. Great Jr breakfast burrito. Love that they support other local businesses, such as with the selection of craft beer on tap and local ingredients. Quick Friday evening fish tacos too.

Super friendly staff, great food. Almost want to remove a star because I’m disappointed they removed the amazing fresh pressed tortillas but its still a good place despite that.
My goto place for lunch, eat here way too many times per week.

I saw somewhere that this place won best burritos in FOCO so I had to check them out and I was not disappointed. Everyone is so nice and provided excellent service . Their Fat Tire sauce is super yummy as is… everything I’ve had so far and this is definitely my burrito go to!

I have ordered from here a few times and it’s always the same great food. The food is still hot when delivered. They have potatoes that you can add to your burritos which is great! They forgot to bring my daughters meal and a worker drove it over themselves.

Absurdly small portion sizes.
I have been coming to Matador weekly for the last year and things have gotten dramatically worse in the last 3-4 weeks. In the last two visits their portion sizes have gotten twice smaller. What used to be a scoop of meat/beans/rice is now 1/3 scoop. I kindly asked the employee to add some chicken to my meal and I was double charged for the same portion that used to be the standard.
You guys just lost a customer for life. Extremely unimpressed

By far the best burrito bowl in Fort Collins. Veggies are always fresh, sauce selection is bomb, and the portions are always generous. If you can handle hear, the honey habanero sauce is delicious.

Best burrito joint in town. Don't bother with the chain places. Come here and get custom house made hot sauces. Many local brews on tap. Hidden gem to come and get some beers. Great selection

Super quality food. Meats are all deliciously cooked, vegetables are all fresh, staff are friendly. Beers are cheap (if I'm not on a quick run lunch hour from work) and really you're not going to get a better ambiance in a burrito shop anywhere else in town. I like that they feature local breweries and support the local community with their profits. If you're eating in, you should always get your burrito smothered.

Not only is their food just delicious, if you like hot sauces and want the biggest variety of housemade hot sauces, this is the place to be. Living in Denver, I feel myself craving the spice some days. 5 stars fasho. Oh and the cheapest beer in town basically, no big deal

Best breakfast burrito around. Great value, incredible and unique sauces make classic dishes taste original. Morning crew staff is always friendly and helpful. Love having a local draft beer at a great value.

Best tacos ever. Atmosphere ok, service and food are the best.

Great food. Great service! Steak and potato burritos are the best!

Tasty food, cheap beer, lot of awesome veggie options, and SO. MUCH. SAUCE. About two dozen different hot sauces from mild to crazy hot, all made fresh in house. Great place to eat, great place to work. Come on in and say hi! Try the Olaf ;)

The ppl were extremely nice and helpful! Good food and plenty of toppings and sauces to choose from!

A must for anyone who likes inventive hot sauces. Pulled Pork + Mango Habanero salsa tacos all day long! Best price on LOCAL brews make it a great place to just meet for beers.

I eat here nearly five days a week. The food is excellent and the portions are unbeatable at the price point. If you like hot sauces, it is truly a place to behold. They make a large selection of amazing sauces ranging from mild to the painfully hot scorpion pepper sauces. They also carry a large selection of traditional bottled sauces. It is an excellent representation of Fort Collins. The bottled beer is cheaper than bottled water.

Awesome local meats, inventive salsas and sauces, love their fish tacos, and queso that keeps you coming back for more!

Everything is on point. The queso is delicious, the honey habanero is un real. Everything is so fresh and melts in your mouth!

Paul and the crew at Matador are great guys, who serve delicious, fresh food, and best homemade salsas and sauces made to order. They just know how to do things the right way, they are all about their regulars and treating them very well, so awesome customer satisfaction!!! They also do as much locally as possible, which I think is great!! And you can't leave Matador without trying one of their four beers they have on tap from a local micro-brewery and if the draft isn't your flavor then they have many bottles in the cooler to choose from. Matador is our Cheers, sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name!!
Erich Rivera
The best burrito place in northern Colorado. That, and you can always expect something different on tap!

I stopped in to thank them for removing Anheuser-Busch after A-B took a swipe at the craft brewers. I don't remember what I had to eat, I took the staff recommendation.
