I hate to be one of those people who complains, but my past experiences here have been so horrible that I just have to write a review. So here it goes: I used to be a huge fan of Pita Pit. It is apparent that the quality of the food has gone wayyyy down in the last couple of years. In the last year alone, I've probably ordered from here about 3-5 times and have had to call and complain every single time. Last time I ordered from here, my pita came cold and the whole wheat pita was so dry that it fell apart to the touch. I called to complaint and was told by the manager that you have to request for the food to be warm and that sometimes the whole wheat pitas dry out faster than the white ones. The manager was nice and offered a free pita for the next time I placed an order, but like before, the quality of the food was poor. I decided to give them one last try, so today I ordered the chicken souvlaki for lunch and was absolutely disgusted by the quality of the meat in the pita. I gagged several times while trying to stomach the food and not even halfway through, I had to just throw it away or I knew I was going to vomit. I will definitely NEVER eat here again. Save your money people...go somewhere else!!

Aweful. My girlfriend and I have tried ordering from this place many times and every single time something goes wrong. Order will be completely off with things in your pita that you didn't even order, food will be undercooked, makes you sick, every idiot working there is rude both over the phone and in person. Even one look at the interior of this place will tell you that Pita Pit at 1232 W Elizabeth St Fort Collins, CO 80523 is a joke of an establishment with dirty tables and food left sitting out all day. What made me write this review was from ordering yesterday, I ordered two simple chicken crave pitas for myself (might I also add that while they are a cheap food option, one pita is a child-sized portion of a meal). The driver took 2 hours to get to my house proceeded to call me 3 times to try to figure out where it was. Then when this derelict-looking kid who I honestly didn't think was bringing me food but instead robbing me at my own front door -- shows up, he tells ME that I need to get my S%$# together (yes he also cursed at me) because HE couldn't find a house in the middle of town... I still gave him a tip because I'm too nice, ate half of one of the pitas which they got wrong AGAIN (not even close to what I ordered), and threw the rest of the sickening pita which over 2.5 hours time had melded into something I can only describe visually as garbage.
I don't want my money back, I don't want any free food, I don't even care if nobody reads this review. I want this establishment shut down permanently. I will be contacting the health dept. of Fort Collins right after this, maybe they can tell me why their 'food' makes me sick every time.

Good food for good prices. Fairly quick service even if there's a few people ahead of you. People here are usually nice and helpful. P.S. I can't believe it's closed now. I've been getting food here since I was like 9. This is some hard times we have here.

Pita pit is the best! They have all kinds of options to please even the pickiest eaters like me. The falawesome is the single best food item in Fort Collins, and it's at a special price. It's so customizable that you can make it taste right to you no matter what you enjoy. Yum!

My first experience with this place was horrible. I waited an hour and a half for three sandwiches that were to be delivered at one of the building on campus (so practically right across the street). Called back twice to see if some misshap occurred with our order and was told that they would be there shortly. When our food did arrive it was cold, not even lukewarm. How can a distance from across the street cause the food to be that cold? I called to speak with a manager and instead just got some dude who works there because apparently they don't have managers on at night and just pretend they are managers instead. He proceeded to ask me what was wrong with my order: it's over an hour wait and its cold, so I want a refund. Well apparently they can't give refunds once you take a bite out of it, since my friends were so hungry they ate most of it already. They can't give you a refund unless you give them their sandwich back because it's their property? That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. This place lacks any intelligent workers, so if you really want some food go for it. As long as you don't mind a sandwich that's been sitting on their counter for an hour (that is exactly what this guy told me what happened that they made the sandwich then it got too busy to deliver so it was sitting out for an hour), or if it is fresh just take the bet that your sandwich is probably the most unsanitary thing you will ever eat. Go ahead take the chance.

Pita Pit is my #1 go-to place to grab food in Fort Collins. The staff is friendly, ingredients are fresh/health/delicious, environment is clean, and the service is relatively quick. The location is kind of weird, but it's actually in the West Elizabeth shops area- conveniently close to campus. I recommend the Chicken Souvlaki pita with tzatziki sauce every. single. time. The club, steak, breakfast pitas, buffalo chicken, falafel, tuna, and gyros are also all yummy.

This is my new favorite restaurant! I first went to it after seeing it from driving by and I decided to try it. It was so good! The staff was awesome and the food even better. I would definitely get this every night if I could!

This place used to be one of my favorites, now it is just sad. Prices went up and food is trash. Never get what I order, they put whatever they want in the pitas not necessarily what your order and they are so small now they are snackfood. Such a shame. Will never order again
