This is now called 3030 Ocean. It is located inside the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort. It's off the lobby and you'll know when you're getting close because it is almost always very noisy. There is a bar area with two TVs and sports were on both when we were there. There is a divider and most tables are on the other side. Our waiter was attentive, informative, and efficient--excellent.
The grouper crudo was delicious (fish is almost raw so you know), shrimp cocktail comes with 6 very large shrimp, very good. Caesar salad was ok but dressing is too thick for my liking although most places are like that.
Grouper dinner, scallops and branzino were all excellent. Grouper was a little salty but it is with miso. Branzino comes with head and tail on but deboned. They will not take the head off before serving.
Dessert ice cream is a huge scoop, seriously huge. Key lime pie is more like a tort but it is excellent, don't pass it up if you have room.
Goodness. What an unexpected experience that my family and I genuinely loved. The kitchen was evenly-matched with the top-shelf service. Jackie, our waitress, was both memorable and fantastic.
From the timing execution to the portions, we couldn’t have asked for anything else. Looking forward to coming back. Don’t change a thing, Ocean Bar!
[Edit: I don’t want to share meal pics because we split them, but the grouper was legit.]
The atmosphere is very modern and cozy. There’s subtle background music by an amazing, talented live singer. He played, “Wicked Game” and I literally got CHILLS. Raw, pure talent. Our server, Robert, was so friendly, attentive, and an overall great server. I got the ceaser salad with grilled chicken which was absolutely amazing. For dessert, I got strawberry ice cream. It was so fresh, and delicious. Not to mention, the chef gave us a free pork belly dish!! I 100% recommend coming to this restaurant.
Excellent food. Not too fancy of a restaurant, it is located within the Marriot hotel, and is formal. It is cozy and calm. The black cod and the Sea scallops were particularly tasty! And the sides wete the Brussels and Mac n cheese very good.
One of the best octopus I’ve ever had. The food was very high quality with amazing flavors. Had grouper and Branzino. Was amazed how great it was. Great service too!!
Located within the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort. Outside and inside seating available. Def try for reservations Friday and Saturday for preference for outside tables with a direct view of the beach. Ate here 3 times during our stay. Recommend the parsnip & leek soup and the plantain hummus as appetizers, any of the dinner salads, plus the fresh grouper. Leave room for the real Key lime pie, though the cheesecake was a close second. Wait staff explained the menu well. Bar pours were strong.
Drinks are pretty good. Fries were good. Service was lacking until we found Kriss that gave us amazing service.
Great customer service. Ample, spacious, comfortable, nice selection of drinks and tasty food. However a little earm not sure if AC was not working.
The place was beautiful. Our waitstaff was so friendly and helpful. The tuna poke app was delicious. The local grouper entree looked beautiful but didn't have a lot of taste/flavor. And the risotto was just okay. For the price it needed to all be delicious. The menu has changed from what you see online.
Location is great. Visited just last week and they had heaters in the patio. Our server Daniel was spot on and had great recommendations from the menu. Everything we ate was excellent and had recommended this location to friends and family who were visiting the area. I will be back here with my family as again, everything from location, wine selection, and food was great.
Breathtaking view and amazing dining experience. Be sure to make reservations.
Service was flawless and all entrees were super delicious; however, could've use a larger portion of the Blackened Grouper.
Worth visiting at least once a year.
Beautiful atmosphere, Nice view. Parking rates were good. Simple menu, not very much to order, tasty but a bit expensive. We were celebrating a birthday so it’s was ok
Pretty spot. Tons of seating. Menu was perfect. Did surf and Turf with wine. The food didn’t come out hot though. :( cold mashed and cold steak. Very little broccolini. View was pretty. Desert was amazing. Will go back during day. Service was good.
Was very busy on a Saturday night. While waiting to see the hostess many walk-ins either turned away or had to find room at the bar. Definitely make reservations in a advance. During our meal live music was in the background and could be heard from the other end of the bar. Food was all amazing, but highly recommend the fish dip and getting a Cappuccino at the end.
Most amazing meal I've had in my LIFE! The flavors were wonderful in each dish. All the ingredients were selected carefully and were authentic to their dish. I have to applauded the tuna dish, as the Asian flavors such as the fish sauce was handled perfectly. I came here for a work conference and needed a quick bite to eat, but ended up staying for this three course meal, and leaving with a happy stomach.
All dinner dishes are small portions (like you can count on your fingers how many baby lettuce come on the $14 Ceasar salad - see pic, we both had 2 bites). Very expensive so for the average spender like us, this was our nice dinner out, happy to pay for quality tasty food... Though $5 for a soda is way overpriced, almost same as beer. Nice but not as knowledgeable server (young female). Majority of the food was excellent except their best known dish, the black grouper.... The fish came out very dry, so disappointing! The sauce with the fish was amazing though. Also, I asked a couple times if there was anything we ordered that was spicy since we have a baby also eating and we can eat anything spicy. Both the black grouper ($33) and tuna poke ($16) were a little spicy. Good thing our baby is an adventurous eater like us and could eat the octopus ($19), which was quite delicious. The broccolinni ($9) was the best I've ever had.. And also, the nice server gave us a unprompted free dessert for the overcooked $33 black grouper... Though still wondering why we were the only table that she did not give the bread basket to... We had to ask for it after waiting awhile for the food.
Gave this place a higher rating because of lunch. No pictures, we were hungry! Went for lunch the next day since our baby was sleeping (restaurant located at our hotel). The bartenders were excellent and the portion sizes were great for lunch. Will go back for lunch only and sit at the bar :)
