I am giving this 5 starts. The food was amazing. If they had a 4 1/2 rating I would have done that. Service was good not great. But we really enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend this place.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Lauren our waitress was excellent, polite and very helpful explaining the menu. Her recommendations were excellent. Overall a very friendly staff, great menu and food. Convenient when you are attending the theatre (Broward Center). Will definitely return.

I only stopped in for a glass of wine. The ambiance and live music was fantastic. Latin jazz by Roberto and the twinkle lights make it feel like another world (Belize, Peru?). I'll be back for a full course next time.

We went to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Being tourists in Fort Lauderdale we didn’t notice the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. We showed up at 8:30pm. Although we were quickly seated, we did feel a bit rushed to order. We barely had the time to read the full menu but we can understand that the kitchen was closing soon. Besides that the food was excellent. The meat was tender, the ceviche was tasty. Not too spicy, just the right amount. We quickly got served and the food didn’t taste like reheat. The portions were just right.

My paella was good but not great. I did like the calamari in it because it was so tender but there was a little too much of it. My sangria was good but not great. The service was friendly but we felt a little forgotten. It's a very small place where you are an elbow away from the next table but the atmosphere is friendly there and I enjoy it. They have a deal on a pre-theater menu but if I chose that my husband would also need to choose it. Reservations definitely recommended on the weekend.

If you’re looking for a classic brunch with a different twist, this is likely a good choice. Latin + Classic brunch in Ft. Lauderdale Omlette w/ veggies and black bean puree dip was good. The stand out were the brekkie potatoes. Wow! So so good! Spicy salsa here is good too.. great w/ eggs or the potatoes Empanadas were ok.. wish they were crunch vs. soft. Suspect they might be heated in the microwave Steak and eggs were good Stand out was also the service. Incredibly sweet staff who ensure you’re well looked after

THE unique gourmet boutique, next to Broward Center. Come for dinner, see an opera, marvel at the attentive staff, superb menu choices from North and South America, walk along the Riverfront. Charming, satisfying and sooo romantic!

This might be one of my new favorite spots. Luckily I live close to it. The empanadas were some of the best I've ever had... soft and fresh. They has an in house hot sauce which was great too. Unfortunately I ate them too fast for a photo. Both dishes were great. The Lechon Asado was pork...delicious. Also got the Arroz Marinero, which was Spanish rice with seafood. Cool staff, very mom n pop feel to the place. Well done.

Solid place, always consistent. Shared tapas, had a watermelon-jalapeño margarita that was really unique. Pulpo and chicharrones were the standouts. Busy as always, but attentive service and timing isn't an issue. Cool historical spot, worth stopping in if in the area.

Frank and his staff were so accommodating and pleasant when we arrived, without a reservation. Found us a slot at the bar and then the drinks and food started coming. Custom made margaritas were so good and the food was fantastic. Everything fresh and very tasteful. I highly recommend the muscles. You can’t go wrong having dinner and drinks at the Chimney House.

We were a party of 13 so I don't think that you can hold them to the same standard as a party of 2. Everyone was very warm and accommodating. The food was cooked to perfection and the manager saw to it that we were taken care of. We would definitely come back.

Our group of four visited the Chimney House on 7/9/23 for dinner. We ordered a few drinks from our friendly waitress who made some menu suggestions and then our group ordered. I ordered the Turkey meatloaf which was covered in a delicious sauce and served with rice and beans. Other meals included the mahi mahi, the grilled skirt steak La chimenea and the crispy pork belly chicharron. Everyone cleared their plates and saved room for dessert, which was also out of this world. We had wanted to try this restaurant and were not disappointed. Fabulous. Highly recommended.

Great little place! Looking for something to eat before the show at the Browder center. They were super packed, but the owner went out of his way to accommodate us. Service was great and the food was amazing! The menu is a mix of Latin inspired dishes from all over.

Sadly I have to downgrade my rating of this restaurant. Previously I had categorized it as exceptional, but unfortunately today and in previous visits we’ve had some issues. My friend ordered the same thing as me. Each of us ordered the chicken with onions and rice and beans. Unfortunately hers came out very dry and rubbery. Our waiter was famously kind and offered to return the dish. However it was either the manager or assistant manager who came to the table and started a debate session about the dryness of the chicken. In my opinion, when you’re eating in a restaurant the customer is still always right. Instead of debating the issue, they should’ve just suggested a different platter. The quality has gone down to a four star rating sadly enough. To remedy the situation, they did kindly bring us a plate of flan! We love this place and will be back, but we hope that they take feedback constructively!

Been here a few times; I don’t speak Spanish, but you don’t need to - all of the wait staff are bilingual but the food taste like come straight from Cuba! We usually get dinner before heading over to the Carmax theater for a big show; last time I had the seafood special with a nonalcoholic beer, followed with a double espresso. No dessert! I was too full! I would strongly recommend the chimney house if you’re in downtown Fort Lauderdale for dinner. Not sure if they are open for lunch?

I come here almost every time I go to a show at the Broward center and it NEVER disappoints! Fast service, delicious food, and amazing sangria!! If you’re seeing a show at the Broward Center, check out the pre fixe menu!

Gabriel who was our server, took care of our large party(13) like a professional. A couple of con: we had to ask to have the appetizers plates removed. We were seated @ 5:30, but did not eat until 8:30. And the limonade was warm. Pros: our server Gabriel was amazing. Any staff member we asked a question to was met with a smile. The crab cakes are awesome, some of the best. The Flan was absolutely delicious.

We always try and have dinner here in this quaint and sweet restaurant before we go to the theater. The food is great, as well as the service. Recently, they obtained a liquor license so it is no longer just beer and wine.

The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was great. Would have been nicer if it came with fries but the side of fruit was good. The ceviche was nicely done and very fresh tasting. Will come back to this shop if I'm in the area again. The history of the house the restaurant is in shows a good story as well. I'm glad they persisted and hold a good restaurant today. Didn't have any desert on this trip but it looked good. The chimney in the center of the building is I guess where the restaurant gets it's name 😅
