The best underground coffee haus on the second floor I've ever been to.
Totally the most comfortable and laid back coffee shop; so relaxing and full of atmosphere that I regularly schedule business meetings there.
Looking for a relaxed, welcoming, haven of a coffee shop? LOOK NO FURTHER! The best place to kick back, have a cup of joe and watch TV, play board games, study or hang. The outdoor balcony is amazing at night and has a great view of twinkling fairy lights on the trees. Good vibes all around
One of the coolest and most interesting places to check out and hangout. Awesome people, drinks and food and the vibe is one of a kind. If your tired of the same old same old, you've got to check Undergrounds out. Highly recommend.
Coolest vibe in Ft Lauderdale. One of a kind ambience, great staff and Aileen is always on point.
Highly recommended.
It's such a laid back, comfortable, and non pretentious place, I feel like walking right in and face planting on their couch like I live there. But I don't... because that would be weird, even for Undergrounds Coffeehaus. Maybe after I get to know the owners better. When I'm not fantasizing about face-planting onto their couch, I'm there for Spill the Beans Comedy Show. Highly recommend everyone come check that out every second Saturday of the month.
This is the coolest coffee place with the best coffee!! Iām a fan of the grasshopper š
I used to teach yoga here in the extra room they have to rent out. I would come early and often stay late after my class was over hanging out with all the friends I made there. I loved the atmosphere here. Everyone is so welcoming and everyone talks to everyone. All walks of life come together under this roof and it makes for some magical friendships. On top of that, the owner Aileen, supports local artists by selling their art! And as for the actually food and drinks? They're amazing!! Such unique drinks and a variety of snacks. I would always go for the soft pretzel and TOTS!!!! If you're in the area definitely check it out. I moved and I miss this place dearly!!! ļæ½
nice and cozy coffee shop with the extra room for concerts
On the first and second Saturday of each month the underground Coffee House host The Spill the Beans comedy show. It's a great place to meet people and hang out. And the quality of the comedy will surprise you . It's a small room but with big Talent.
Another fun night watching Spill the Beans Comedy Show at the Haus . . . Marcello Hernandez and Elaine Golden each performed a great opening set, preparing us for the very funny Perry Sak. Hennessy Williams, a consummate storyteller, closed the show with his unique brand of humor. The cozy room dedicated solely to the comedy show provides a great venue, and Fasil never disappoints. I am looking forward to the next show!
Such a cool place!!!! Great tater tots, coffee and people. Not in that order.
Love this place! Good coffee, good atmosphere! And the events they have from craft fairs to yoga are always a blast! The employees are always nice and willing to help!
Ok... This place is like "Alice in wonderland" cave, they have everything to inmerce in a magical world. The service is super, this guy look super dry jjjj however he's not, he is super warm and gentle. The place is on point for young people, they don't sell alcohol or cigarettes, instead they are plenty of books and tables to study, draw or write, your mind will blow if you are an art creator or just a regular social media surfer, this coffee hause is super quiet and very soft š We got a Cold chai tea, hot Chai tea and a Late, all of them super tasty. The only concern is inmidiately you get inside the house you realize is an old construction by the smell, but a few minutes after you are confortable.
Fun upstairs hole in the wall coffee shop. Very vintage vibe, lots of places to sit, tons of games to borrow, good selection of well made coffees and the cookies/brownies looked good (didn't try them). Felt very at home, other patrons were all nice and we even chatted a bit. And on top of it all, free, ample parking. Worth the visit!
It was a fun experience finding this hidden coffee stop. The service was great and the coffee and food amazing. The vibes are very chilled and the mood is just right to spend the whole afternoon here. Bathroom was clean and I loved the outdoor terrace. Parking was free and the location easy to find. Recommend it!
A little hidden secret in fort Lauderdale, we happen to walk in there by accident. Ended up having a great coffee and they had opened mic with live band! Amazing
Last of the bohemian venues-please donāt expect a mega Starbucks environment-or you will be disappointed. If you are appreciative of younger vibrant people discussing politics, watching movies and reading old used books among kooky lamps and old chairs you will love it. Reminds me of the old Greenwich village days. Friendly staff and great large coffees including decaf.
This is a well-established gem of Fort Lauderdale. They have regular events like comedy shows, bands, and art events. They are known for their loaded tots and sweet drinks. My personal favorite is the lemon-pepper tots, vegan friendly, of course. They also added a delicious vegan banana spice cookie that pairs well with an espresso.
Go show some love and support this local business!
Wonderful experience in a true privately owned Bohemian type coffee shop. The barista was very friendly and helpful. The coffee was great, and the pre-wrapped breads and cake were terrific. A wonderful "hole in the wall" experience.

That's the type of coffee shop I like!
I came here with a friend for a cup of coffee, but this environment almost forces you to stay longer.
The place is also a book store and has individual tables to work a balcony and my preferred place, a comfy couch by the TV that was exhibiting "Young Frankenstein" and after that (yeah that's how long I stayed there) "spirited away."
I can't wait now for an excuse to come back here, even if it is only to read a book of mine. My visit was around 5 pm; I believe they might get crowded later on the day.
Iāve visited the Underground Coffeehaus in Fort Lauderdale twice. On both occasions, it was for live music events. I always hear from the attendees how great the tater tots are so during my second visit, I made it a goal to get some. Itās definitely the best loaded tater tots I have ever had.
I enjoyed eating tater tots and watching the performances of Deshantin, No Traffik, Luxrem, and Galaxy Beat.
The staff is super kind and friendly. Looking forward to going again! š
Underground coffeehouse wow you have to go upstairs to get to it underground? This place is off the chain cool TV going with cartoons outdoor outdoor patio looks like itās for smoking but not sure the vibe here was amazing got there about 7 oāclock only a few people on there and then it got very busy then emptied out a little bit and I wondered why they were having a comedy show in another room they do it a couple times a month I will be looking for it next time oh I forgot to mention the coffee that I had
The grasshopper wow delicious
Although technically above ground, and by above I mean on the second story of the building, undergroundās sports a cool original and strikingly independent take on a tea and coffee experience. The local Emo scene has made it their home but also some other great groups. In addition to complementary WiFi they have a great collection of fun books and some great coffee and tea creations at way lower than Starbucks price point. The meditation classes held here will no doubt help you find your center! #coffeehouse
First time here (although I've wanted to come by the last 15 years), loved it
Great vibes, coffee really nice, comfortable chairs, like a living room, well 3 living rooms.
Small coffee shop, but the inside is very comfortable. Lots of books to browse through, they even have shows on tv to entertain you. The coffee and snacks could be of better quality, but I will take it for a nice place to sit and fall into a book
Undergroundās is one of those coffee shops that makes you hunt for it. Itās not underground, one the second floor, which makes it more exciting once you find the āsecretā entrance. Thereās millions of diffrent quirks around the coffeehouse adding to the hunt. Coffee is good, but I would enjoy coming here for the experience and the people.
If you had a home library with funky vintage furniture you would be at Undergrounds. Nice and quiet, with books, board games and outlets for your computer. You can watch an old movie on the big screen TV. Multiple coffee and tea drinks hot or cold, great snacks and bakery items to munch on. Kevin and Joy are great drink makers and very nice.
This is the best spot to chill vibe is so awesome. Playing uno and drinking coffee while watching dinosaurs (old TV show). Music is the radio station the š¦ shark.š¤
Quaint romantic hideaway that feels like you're sitting in a living room surrounded by books. Great coffee and a very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. The peanut butter cup coffee was delicious -- not too sweet.
Undergrounds Coffeehaus in Fort Lauderdale is a unique, fun and relaxing place to enjoy coffee and tea. I finally visited for the first time last night. They're open late which is great for meeting up with friends. They have a large selection of tea as well as different toppings for tater tots.
Bring cash as they won't charge your credit card if the bill is under $10.
Really enjoyed my unscheduled stop in - can't wait to come back. If you like chill, indie spots this is for you. Note: no smoking, vaping, alcohol or substances.
