Came here the other night with friends and it is a cute trendy western restaurant. They have reasonable prices, adult drinks and epic shakes. We ate a few appetizers and our entrees were a pretty big portion. Everything we had was good and the service was decent as well. Perhaps be back soon in the near future.

We had an amazing time here. I bought a Groupon and so glad I did. I ordered the Lambeau burger which is a lamb burger and it was simply the best burger I have ever had. My husband said the same about his and I am sure the kids e joyed their mini burgers too because I didn't hear a word from them once they started eating 🤠the service was also great, the manager and server made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely bo back

I must say.. this place doesnt get enough credit for their food!!! The food was absolutely incredible!! The best onion rings we have ever had by FAR!!! We had the kobe burger and was amazing !! Only a few complaints.. or grips.. if you go here for lunch make sure u are not on a time limit for lunch because it is hard for them to serve u and get your food and and eat in a 1 hour lunch time frame mostly due to staff in a slow relaxing pace.. and takes a while to get alcohol beverages and server said its because the bartender is slow and after reading many other reviews seems like the bartender is an issue here. If staff would be more cognizant of people being on a timed lunch break and not there to hang out and drink all day then service would be great, but they were very nice and helpful. Will definitely be returning here many times!!!

Went here for our last night in Fort Myers. My brother lives here and suggested going here as he has been to this restaurant before. My mother has the chili dog. She liked the hotdogs but could not eat the chili because she does not wat anything made with alcohol and the chili was made with beer. My brother ordered the cod with garlic green beans and roasted potatoes. I ordered the Juicy Loosey with bacon. The bacon ruined the sandwich, so I ate it separately. The onion rings were good with the sauce that is served with it. We also ordered the garlic fried and I ordered a pina colada. Both were delicious. I recommend this place.

I love that they have a vegan Burger to choose from. The barbecue sauce is homemade here. As we were leaving I saw a sign that said Thirsty Thursdays so I guess they have good drink specials on Thursdays.

Square 1 on South Cleveland Ave. Excellent burger joint!! If you like spice!! South Of The Boarder Burger!! Must have!! An added fried avocado surprise!! Chipotle sauce, Jack cheese and jalapenos. Paired with sweet potatoe fries. Hmmm... Delicious!!!

Fast, friendly service, delicious food! My burger was so juicy and the flavor amazing. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

I've been here twice and so far everything has been great. Both times are servers were awesome and the food was very fresh and tasty! I especially liked the Strawberry salad with the Glazed Salmon on top!

Went to Square one with 23 other people in our group. Service was excellent even with the number of people in our group. Other wait staff chipped in to help get us drinks and refill our drinks. Our server Donde was amazing, and Meikka was helping him they worked great together.
Sophia Martinez
They have a huge variety of burgers and sandwiches. I had a Greek lamb burger but they forgot the tzatziki sauce. My husband's south of the border burger with black bean salsa, fritos, & fried avocado was delicious. Pulled pork nachos were enormous and tasty. Their onion rings are probably the best in town in my personal opinion! The decor in this place is unlike any other burger joint- a stylish mix of fun, playful, & sophisticated. Lots of cute chandeliers & cowhide. Definitely a favorite spot in Ft. Myers for a good quality burger and onion rings.

For the most part it was a nice place. It is pretty pricey. I did not care for what I ordered. The green beans had been frozen. The meatloaf was mushy. The potatos were good but I thought I was getting mashed. The pineapple margarita was good. The burger was good.
Sarah A
Square 1 was awesome and I can't wait to be near the area again to go. I loved all the choices and options on the menu, especially the ground buffalo over the regular beef. I tried the Buffalo Bob which melted in my mouth with each bite. The tater tots were also cooked to perfection. My husband agreed to all of the above!
Mr Forensics
The food was really good very little wait and people were pleasant
Krysta Vancil
Loving the decor of this restaurant and loving the food even more! To die for apps and burgers! Service was excellent and extremely quick during lunch hour.

Came here on a date with my girlfriend, and we got Steven B., as our server and he was excellent. Really knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk to. The burger was excellent and cooked medium well, just the way I had requested. I had the Triple Mushroom Burger this time and I really enjoyed it. Much better experience this time, and I'm upping the star count. Thank you.
May of 2016:
Stopped here to meet a couple of friends before work. I ordered the Rise and Shine Burger with fries and a sweet tea. The burger was tasty, albeit greasy; The bottom bun was soaked. French Fries tasted good as well. The sweet tea was weird. I don't know how else to describe it. It tasted sweet but had the consistency of chocolate milk. When I first took a sip I thought it was chocolate milk. It wasn't bad tasting. It just wasn't what I'm used to.
As far as the service goes, we got a polite gentleman, but I think he was new, or they had a call out or something. It was busy, however when the manager had to come out and start apologizing to 3 of the guys tables for the long wait, including ours, we figured something was up. We didn't complain. Can't speak for the table next to ours as the manager had to take care of them for the duration about 10 minutes into them sitting down.
To summarize my bad marks on the service: forgot my sweet tea. Forgot my friends baked beans. Friend also ordered sweet potato fries and was given regular fries. He also wasn't on top of getting our refills as my friends had to both sit with empty glasses for about 10 minutes.
The atmosphere and the taste of the food managed to get a few stars out of me. I work in customer service, so I'll chalk it up to being understaffed, a call out, or the waiter being completely raw.
To Find and Be Found
Bigass onion rings, a delicious veggie burger, and tasty sweet potato fries were all I needed. I'd never heard of this chain but was glad we decided to stop in. Service was fast and friendly, and their recommendation of the onion rings was spot-on.

It's not very often that I can eat some appetizers and totally finish my meal. This place rocks! Those cheese curds and onion rings were fantastic !Stephen is the best server! He was attentive, we didn't have to ask for refills, and since we hadn't been there before, told us about the menu. Thank you Steven! You made our supper extra special.
Dan Boerner
Great food and service. Really worth a try. Savannah was our server. Food arrived quickly and was cooked perfectly. We even had a slice of Carmel and sea salt topped cheese cake. Fantastic!! We will definitely be going back.
Melissa Weinhold-Coats
Haven’t been to a place where the food, service, and experience was hands down amazing! Michelle our server was attentive and fun, the atmosphere is very friendly, and the food is absolutely phenomenal! Keep it up guys!
Steven Wollam
Always had great food, drinks, and service from the very friendly and knowledgable staff. The manager is a great guy too. The decor is nice as well. Often we would eat on the patio with our two dogs. They have hamburger and chicken along with steamed broccoli for the dogs which isn't seasoned. The prices are reasonable too and they have some nice craft beers, cocktails, and really good milk shakes as well. I can't say enough good things about the place and we miss it dearly since moving back to Ohio.

Love meeting up with friends here. We always sit in the bar where the staff treat you like family. Good food..yummy cocktails...qick service but never feel rushed to leave. A must try fot anyone in the area!
Susan Stoltman
After eating seafood for a week it was time for some beef. The burgers were cooked to perfection. You can also opt for bison or chicken burgers. We chose this place because it was rated number one for good burgers on TripAdvisor and we will certainly return.
Denise Prime Finn
Great place. This was our first time visiting and the food was amazing. We were so happy to find Poutine in Fort Myers. We each tried a different burger and they were great. Kiki, our server was quite entertaining and very helpful. We'll give the restaurant a 5 and KiKi a 10. We'll be back.

Love love love this place, never had a bad meal, tastes great, fun atmosphere and great staff!!

Square 1 Burgers & Bar, Cleveland Ave., Ft. Myers, Fl. Here is my 2 cents on the food and chatter.

I got the cheapest burger here, the American. 10 bucks, it goes up from here.

I ask for it medium rare, it came more rare. But thats ok by me. With onion rings.

The burger was good and juicy. Oh yeah on a fancy bun call a brioche... The rings hand breaded just not enough of them.

I think paying $10 for a burger is a lot. But this being a tourist area and greedy Florida you just have to expect being gouge.

My server Jennifer was outstanding.

Burger, yeah good to go back but too pricey.
GT
I never quite understand sit down restaurants that serve burgers primarily. Burgers should be a cheap meal not $15 a piece. Overall it was average food (we got it to go), however the gluten-free bread was good on the burger so my wife enjoyed her burger. Unfortunately though they didn't seem too knowledgable about what did and didn't have gluten, so it makes you wonder was everything safe.
BekahBoo
Wayyy Overpriced. Been a couple times, to give it a few chances. Good food and service most of the time but not worth half the price they charge for everything. Get way better burgers for the same price or less at Red Robin or Ted's Montana Grill.

Square one resturant. Excellent service and the best hamburger I have ever eaten

Exceptional. Our first time at Square One after a friend recommended it as, "the best burger he has ever had".
It was, "the best burger I've ever had".
Laura our waitress was very friendly and attentive! Even the manager came around to ask if we needed anything and how was our meal.
We will be back!!! A+++++++++

Disappointed!. My husband and I recently ate at the Fort Myers restaurant and were very disappointed. While we were quick to be seated as it wasn't very busy (which is very unusual during season) the food was just okay. We each had a malt which was only filled about halfway with the ice cream and then filled in with whipped cream. It was like they made ONE malt and poured into TWO glasses. We should have been charged for ONE malt, not two. Then the burgers... my husband opted for the juicy lucy which was good, but seemed rather small for the price. He opted for the onion rings which was $2.00 extra and was given 5 rings. Come one people... 5 rings!?! What a joke for an extra $2.00! We have taken Square One off our list of places to eat!

Love this place. Been there over a dozen times. Always get great service, try a different burger each time we go. Food is great! We signed up for the email blasts, we get coupons and always know what the special is for the week. Recommend it!!

1'st time a charm. Our 1'st visit and hubby & I were impressed. A wee bit on the expensive side, but food was excellent, the décor was cool & it was not too noisy. We will definitely go again.

A top 3 Ft Myers burger choice. I've been there about a dozen times and it comes down to this: good atmosphere, service, and craft beer selection. The burgers are -very- good though and I would consider them in the top 3 in Ft Myers.

The food always takes fresh and for the most part flavorful. Take others advice and don't sit in the cowhide seats since they poke the hell out of you...I usually sit at the bar.
Lindsey Cooper
Great Burgers, Cool Decor. Tonight was my 2nd visit. My first was around when they first opened. Each time I've had NO wait to get seated. They have cowhide booths, antler chandeliers...really cool decor! Western/chic feel.
Lots of burger choices, they have about 10-15 burgers but you can switch it up & get different choices of meat. I had the 3 mushroom burger each time - because I loved it so much the first time! Again, DELICIOUS!! And we had a FANTASTIC server!!! She brought us drink refills without even having to ask - before they were even empty AND we weren't asked "what were you drinking again??". Will definitely go again & again!!

Decent burgers but there aren't too many options for being a burger joint. Although other chains offer more variety, I still "liked" this place based on my two experiences going here.
Nicole
Expensive Burger Joint. The menu is unique with all their burger options but it is expensive. I've tried Square 1 twice before and experienced the same result. The staff was genuinely nice but the buns of the burger were soggy and the booths, which were cowhide, made me itchy and uncomfortable the entire night.

Changes made. What a difference a year makes. I also had a bad experience @ Square one, when the waitress snapped "I didn't cook it", however I spoke with the manager Casey & he cooked a new burger & took the over cooked burger off my bill. Now the wait staff is more attentive. I see managers walking around the restaurant asking "guest" if everything g is OK.. To the posters that say the burgers are expensive, have you seen size of burger @ Fridays or Ruby's? I also love the week end special burgers..venison, ostrich elk. as the add states...AWESOME !!
Rick
Margarita served in a martini glass and smell like old fruit juice. Major identity crisis with decor music and menu. Doughnuts served in a barf bag. Not appetizing! Burgers are good but a but pricey. Fancy decor with burgers on the menu. Overall bizarre!
Marie
I have been there twice now and I still think it's the best burger I have ever eaten

Been several times and would go again!. I've gone several times with different people and we enjoyed our meals each time. I've had salads and burgers and while some complain about the portion size it's actually the CORRECT size, for me anyway. In fact some friends have looked a tthe portion and thought it was small, but at the end agreed it was just right. Each time we leave feel satisfied but not over stuffed. They should offer additional napkins and knives are on request for some reason. Tonight I did a To-Go order and everything was packed properly and plenty of condiments if I wanted them. Got the Mary's Lamb Burger, Medium, with coleslaw. Cooked perfectly and a perfect balance of meaty, creamy (cheese) and crispy (lettuce). Slaw was good. Ordered their Zepps for dessert (beignets) with rasberry and chocolate sauces for dipping. Great texture, sauces warm! A little pricey but enough for 2. Chocolate sauce tasted like plain Hershey's to me, I'd prefer something more fudgy, but still very enjoyable. Yeah, it's a little pricier but you are paying for a nice atmosphere and full service dining. Would I recommend? Absolutely, especially if I get to go too!
Brandon Smith
If you want a beer and an app then this place is ok. The burgers are really just terrible. The wings we got that were "buffalo" we're dry as could be. Not to mention far too overpriced. The other negative reviews are spot on. Not worth your money or time.
Niki6
Overpriced, Underfed. Aside from the cool atmosphere, I wasn't impressed with the burger. I paid $15 for a turkey burger with interesting toppings and it came with a children's size serving of fries. I left hungry...and mad. WTH did I pay for? The burgers are way too small for that much. I wished I'd gone to Ted's Montana Grill where the burgers fresh, topped with at least 4 interesting toppings, and are so big that you have to squish it down to bite it (and priced the same). Or Ford's Garage for the Distinguished Gentelman Kobe burger. I did stop in for Happy Hour and found the specials enjoyable. Good drinks at decent prices and I tried the gracvy fries. Those were delicious! So stop in for apps and cocktails, but look elsewhere if you want a truly satisfying and cost appropriate meal.
Chris
Great angus burgers, cooked perfectly. Onion rings crunchy and juicy at the same time. Square 1 red draft to wash it all down. Delicious.
Joann
I'd give it a "6". First time here. Decor is interesting. Hostess was over exhuberant.

We had to ask for extra napkins for the juicy burgers. Sweet potato fries were good. Baked beans were awesome! The strawberry shake was very good.

Even though only 2 tables were occupied, leaving 10+ empty, we were seated next to the waitress station and had 4 waitresses staring at us while we ate. Not good!

Pricey. Can get same (or better) quality and quantity for half price at other places.

We live 5 miles away. Would we go back? Probably not.

Stay away from there. Greetings

This is one letter that I don't like to write,

I and my companion went to your business In ft Myer's on sat 7/21/12

after reading your ad's in the local news paper, we are always looking for a better burger joint.

There is no way , but to come straight to the point, It was "BAD".

food value to cost , BAD.

Food quality, Below average....My Investment of $26.00, gone!!

Accuracy of order, missing condiments.

Service, OK

Wow factory, NONE.

Taste, Fast food burger,s got you beat.

Returning customer, Sorry not.

Recommencing to others, NO

I am not looking for anything, I run my business on feed back from customers.

thanks in advance.

Poor Service and Raw Burger. My friend and I decided to try out the new Ft. Myers Square 1 Burger & Bar. We were at the front door by a friendly hostess. In order to there was going to be a shore wait which is fine. We decided to eat tat the outside portion of the bar.

The menu offers a wide variety of interesting sounding burger choices including Cobi beef, Chicken and Turkey Burgers. The even offer too serve any of the burger choices on a bed of lettuce.

After a short 5 minute wait the bartender took our order.

I ordered the medium rare juicy lucy Cheddar cheese inside a half-pound 100% Meyer’s Angus
patty, grilled to your liking and topped with carmelized onions, lettuce and tomato with dijonaise on a brioche bun, 10.99

My friend ordered the Medium Philly Cheeseburger 100% Meyer’s Angus with sautéed peppers
and onions with provolone and mayo on a brioche bun. 8.99

After a 35 minute wait the burgers finally arrived. Mine was cooked to order and tasted great but my friend's came out raw. It took another 5 minutes to get the bartender's attention to report the problem and they did offer to replace it but we were now 45 minutes into an hour lunch break and did not have another 30 minute to wait for another burger.

It might be that this place is only open for several weeks. I might go back but not when I'm on the clock.
Mrs. H
Went in, nice atmosphere, open and bright. staff that helped us was nice and explained menu well. Lots of choices, not for the kind of person that wants a plain burger. Was pricey, burger did come with a little extra grease, had better slaw than what I was served. Bison burger tasted very well though. One other good thing was their beer sample/selection. Square1 signature beer was good

Just a burger, please. Too many weird and complex items on the menu and extremely high prices. I noticed they don't treat their employees well and the one manager was extremely unkind. I'll take my business elsewhere.
Brneyedflgrl
Not the best place for a burger.. Went here last week, this place wasn't awful but I've had better for the price. Just for my husband and I to eat there we ended up spending nearly $45! We ordered the onion rings (which were $3 for happy hour), I ordered the french onion soup (not good), he ordered the lamb burger and I ordered the BBQ Bacon burger. Both were dripping with grease, not juices, but grease. The size of the burger is about the same size of a Jr. whopper but at the price of 2 Double Whoppers (and then some)!

I'll stick with 5 Guys - at least there were can get 2 burgers 1- single patty and 1-double patty, small fry, and a large drink for less than $16 and walk away full.
The Hungry Sprout
The veggie burger is made in house, not frozen, so for us it was a not to be missed restaurant. First of all, the décor is very eclectic crazy cowboy-ish. I am not sure how else to describe it but it is fun and lively. We started our meal with Fried Dill Pickle Chips served with a peppercorn ranch sauce. They were thin and lightly breaded- still juicy and tangy. Deliciousness. Chad ordered the Very Vegan Veggie Burger - a homemade patty with leaf lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and avocados on a whole-wheat bun. The burger was flavorful, not dry and crumbly. On the side he enjoyed the sweet potato fries with the Square

The burgers should be main attraction and the reason why one would return again and again. Based on our visit Square 1 comes close and with a little more attention to flavor profiles the burgers will reign supreme. They also need to work some glitches out in the kitchen and in service but given some time Square 1 could be the latest and greatest in Fort Myers but for now they fall just short of that. There is much potential for Square 1 to have the best burgers and if they just kick it up a notch it could become a local favorite.
