Stopped here for lunch with a friend, had Aliyah as our server and it was a wonderful experience. We sat outside it was beautiful out got menus right away and was greeted promptly. Knowledgeable about the menu. I had the BLGT my friend had the chicken and waffles both were to die for so we split both!��� definitely recommend trying this place out!
It was my first visit & I loved it! The staff was friendly, the decor & atmosphere of the place was great!! The food was wonderful, I definitely loved the catfish & sweet potato soufflé!! Would definitely visit again & recommend others to check it out!
I had the best chicken and waffles that I’ve ever had, and their maple syrup was amazing with it. The bottomless mimosas were also a huge selling point.
This place was great! Fun atmosphere in the bar with live music and yummy food! Some things could have been a little better. But for less than $70 (including tip) we got two entrees, a dessert, and two beers. We had the ribs (which were to DIE FOR) and the chicken and waffles (which were also great), we had the banana pudding (yum!!!). We will definitely be back again!
Great food, fried frog leg is awesome, fried okra is a bit undercooked inside, chicken n waffle is also awesome and delicious. Huge portion too.
We popped in for a late brunch and decided to sit at the bar. It was slammed with a younger baseball team and their parents ordering from the *bar instead of waiting for an actual table. The bar tender was keeping calm - even though the parents and children were quite rude to her for the "slow" service. She was nothing of the sort. She stayed calm and addressed everyone kindly and met their needs. I wish I knew her name, but I was more focused on trying not to say something to the very large crowd trying to skip the wait. Other than that, my mimosa was amazing and the food is always a treat.

My family keeps coming back time and again. The food is delicious and the service is great! The decor is eclectic and charming. The chicken and waffles are out of this world! Fancy’s is my most favorite place to eat in town!
Great place, great atmosphere and even better food. It’s a very intimate setting in my opinion. I had the catfish, greens, Mac and cheese and grits. The grits were AMAZING!

Donuts were wonderful, so was breakfast.
Went at 9 on a Saturday morning, so very few patrons. Food was fresh, pancakes and homemade hot syrup very good. Great waiter. Gave my brother a military discount.
Never had a bad meal here. Love the southern comfort food. Reminds me of SC. Shrimp & grits, chicken & waffles, country fried steak, liver & onions, catfish, Mmmmmm!
Everything was absolutely amazing! From the beautiful decor to the delicious food!!! Definitely recommend!!!

We ate here for the first time last night. The food was awesome! I had the chicken pot pie and all I can say in one word is yummy! My husband had fried chicken which he said was cooked perfectly and so tasty. We had the banana pudding for dessert, it was just like my grandma’s and so, so good. We loved their wine selections, and the music was fantastic. We look forward to coming back again!
The chicken and waffles were great, but I will definitely go back for the shrimp and grits. I give the service 5 stars! Also, ate the deviled eggs. The best part of them were the sriracha, but they were still pretty good.
Been here many times. Flawless execution, beautiful ambience.fried chicken, home made waffles, pimento burger, spare rib appetizer, hot delicious donuts— this place executes southern food like no one else can. A must try.
Enjoyed our dinner @Fancy's ! Food was very good and the service was excellent. My husband got the chicken pot pie and he said it was the best he has ever had dining out. I ordered the fried chicken, and it was very good. Ended up taking food home, could not eat it all. We ordered up the homemade chocolate cake. It was delicious.... I would highly recommend Fancy's to your dining destination list. They had chicken waffles that I saw on other customers plates. Never had one, but they were huge. Something I will have to check out on our next visit....
Absolutely wonderful! Went with a group of 6 and each of us ordered something different. Everything we ordered was amazing!
Chicken and Waffles: delicious with an amazing presentation
Grilled Cheese: yummy with the bacon (tomato soup was on point)
Chicken Pot Pie: HUGE!!! flaky and creamy
Tenderloin: again, HUGE with a creamy cheesy sauce
We also had the liver and onions, and the cheeseburger. Service was fair, but could have been a bit faster. I did notice that the cooks were walking right through the middle of the restaurant (which just seemed a bit odd because of their appearance vs the restaurant's nice ambiance.) Speaking of, it has a wonderful atmosphere. It is decorated with a lot of class and originality, very neat!
We also tried the key lime pie which was very good. The key lime flavor was very prominent. Extremely pleased and highly recommended!
We stumbled upon Fancy’s Southern Cafe on a recent Road Trip through Ft. Myers, Florida. We had luck on our side for dinner and felt we found a true ‘gem’. The theme is ‘Southern’ and once you step inside, you find a really cool, funky vibe that rivals any South Florida spot. Fancy’s Southern cafe’s décor is unique and interesting, yet manages to feel very comfortable.
Fancy's is a true fort Myers gem! The atmosphere and the live music on Friday and Saturday alone are worth checking out this place. BUT the food is great. Been for both dinner and breakfast! I have a personal mission to try the entire breakfast menu because everything looks so good! Great French toast, donuts, chicken and waffles and biscuits and sausage gravy!! Definitely worth trying !!
Great food and style. I am not from Ft Myers, but I go there at least 6 times a year from Atlanta. Never thought to stop in this place. Friend of my invited me out to dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. Upon walking in, the setup reminded me of a new concept restaurant inn Atlanta. The FOOD. The food was hot and very fresh. I had the half fried chicken with grits on the side and green beans. The proportion were large and more than satisfying. If you have attempted to try Glady's Knight chicken and waffles, forget about it. Fancy's waffles are seasoned to the bone. It comes with some type of maple liquid gold. In addition to the food be really good the decor was beautiful. Will go back.
Upscale Southern food here, so the name is apropos. A tad pricey for lunch, but excellent food in a very nice environment. The fried catfish was excellent and a relative bargain at $9.99. The Chef's Salad was nice, too. Would go back next time I'm passing through Ft Myers.
I travel to Ft. Myers for work every few weeks. Fancys popped up and after checking out the menu online, I had to try it! It was fabulous!!' I had filet which was cooked to perfection and sooo tasty! I also had collard greens and they were outstanding!! You have to try this place! Great ambience too!

WOW!. Not usually a fan of southern cooking-but I believe I shall make an exception in this case! The chicken and waffles towered on the plate, and the buttermilk (yes buttermilk) syrup.......delicious.
Chicken fried steak-even the breading (not to mention the angus beef) was amazing and HUGE.

One of the owners was there talking to the patrons & making them feel at home! . My tea glass was never empty! I will definitely be back! Unique place to eat, the decor is creative & homey!

Transports You Out of Fort Myers. The moment you walk into Fancy's you are transported to another city. I felt like I was in New Orleans or Nashville. The decor is great and so is the food! I highly recommend the chicken and waffles or even the fried chicken. The sides are great too! Gotta try the spicy coleslaw. It definitely adds a kick to the normal slaw.

All Around Great. My husband and I had our first experience at Fancy's tonight. Needless to say, we will be back! We had great service, comfortable atmosphere, and fantastic food. My husband had country fried steak with smashed potatoes and cheesy grits. I choose the chicken and waffles, and added a side of mac n cheese. We finished it off with banana pudding and chocolate cake. Everything was fantastic, but the winners were definitely the chicken and waffles and banana pudding. We even got to chat with the owner who really enjoys what he does. If you are in the area, you need to stop in!
Great service, Best fresh food in SWFL. My wife and I have had dinner now 5 times and every time we go something out does the last time. I would have never thought that chicken and waffles would be a good mix but I have to tell you that I cannot get enough!! Chicken pot pie was amazing!! Our 8 year old daughter loves the fog legs and mac & cheese and pot roast. The decor was like seeing old Ft. Myers like it was growing up. I can only hope that every one enjoys it as much as our family and friends do!!

The food here is amazing! The best chicken and waffles in SWFL hands down. Their donuts are delightful (only served on weekends). No matter if you are coming to enjoy breakfast or dinner, you will be happy that you came. This is food so good that it'll make you want to smack your momma. The only downfalls are wait times (make a reservation) and it can be crowded. If you're ever nearby, this is a place that you should try.
1st off, did not expect how cool and big it is from outside. Very eclectic decor. Clean and comfortable. Our server Olivia was friendly and attentive. The food was easily 5 stars except for the Mac and cheese which was a terrible disappointment (and yes, I am southern). The country fried steak and meatloaf were on point!
What a great surprise! We've been to a few places when traveling through Ft Myers, I don't know how we missed this place. Brunch was amazing, thick cut southern bacon, fluffy waffles, and soft pancakes with a little crisp to it. We enjoyed every bite! You know it's good when you're done eating and still thinking about the food!
Stopped in for Sunday brunch around 11am. They were on a 20min wait though the restaurant itself wasnt full. I believe they were short staffed as the hostess would disappear for about 5-10min at a time. After being seated service was good and prompt. Their blood Mary’s were delicious! We enjoyed the deviled eggs for an appetizer. Highly recommend. I ordered the crab cake Benny and my significant other enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Tasty and fresh! We will definitely come back in the future.
This was my first time here and I will definitely be back! The atmosphere is really beautiful! I love all the decor! It was Friday night, so there was live music. Sergio has an amazing voice! Our server Amy was awesome as well which really made my night! The food was presented really nicely, came out super hot and was tasty! The portions are not skimpy at all and I feel like the prices are on point for what you are getting. Can’t wait to try their Saturday and Sunday brunch!
We visited Fancy’s the first week of November on vacation. I still can’t stop talking about the food I had here. Everything tastes very fresh. I highly recommend the catfish and ribs for entrees. The ribs fell off the bone like I’ve never seen. And that bbq sauce should be bottled and sold! Also not pictured was the carrot cake which was so smooth and decedent. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. This place is worth it. We’ll definitely be coming back.
Living in the Pacific Northwest, I rarely get a chance to have Chicken and waffles. While my daughter that is a doctor would not approve of my choice for health reasons, these are trouble I will be in when she reads this post. These are the best I have had. I also ordered a manhattan that was good. A little sweet for my taste but still good. There is also live music in the bar. Really good but a bit too loud.
If you are looking for a southern style breakfast this is the place. I had the Pancakes-N-Eggs and it comes with no ordinary syrup. You'll have to come in and try it yourself. The House made Donuts with the house made glaze is another delight Fancy's has to offer. And to start the day off right (or end it quick) we had the mimosas.
Love this place it has all the bells and whistles. If you’re hungry and want a big meal try the Country Fried Steak dinner. Its HUGE staff is friendly and very tentative to your dining needs.
Great service by Christian. I had the chicken, my wife had the catfish both great. Relaxing, laid back atmosphere, best service we ever had dining there. Food was better too, not too salty. We definitely will go back based on last night’s experience.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding elopement dinner here. The service was great, atmosphere was beautiful, chill and classy. Olivia was our server and she did an excellent job! Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, and tasty food! Enjoyed fried okra as the appetizer, and tried the fried grits too. Both were good! Really enjoyed the shrimp and grits for the main course. Decent draft list and friends enjoyed their cocktails; overall would come back!
Very nice to have southern cooking done right , would like to see wild boar on the menu quail also but that's my opinion you all get 5 Stars from this old country boy.
