The Lighthouse is one of our go to "date night" restaurants! The atmosphere of dining on the water is one of my favorite things to do here in South Florida! Let me begin by saying the Waitstaff is very friendly and helpful...ready to meet any of your needs. We have enjoyed several delicious meals there from the Lobster Salad Plate, (which upon my request they accommodated me with all lobster meat), Seared Ahi Tuna, fresh Oysters and Conch Salad. Our meal last night was the best we've been served so far.... I enjoyed Seared Balsamic Scallops with fresh veggie medly done just like in them...flavorful and crunchy, with a Caprese Salad. My husband had Grilled Octopus with an Aioli dipping sauce on a bed of greens... Amazing!! We topped off our date night by listening and dancing to the guitar playing & singing of the very talented Musician Extraordinaire David C. Johnson in the lounge/bar area. I would recommend The Lighthouse Highly to anyone looking for a lovely lunch or dinner on the water. The one little criticism I have is....I think it may be time for a decor update, but that certainly doesn't affect the excellent food and service...
Friday night dinner and dancing did not disappoint ! We will definitely be back! The steak and lobster is amazing as well as the lobster risotto. Love band and dancing topped it off!
Chef Brad kilburn and his staff have done an amazing job with everything about this place. I would recommend the lighthouse to anybody in the area.
We wanted to enjoy the last evening at the home we rented, so we opted for an early dinner/late lunch out. We got a great table outside overlooking the water. The porch is screened in so no bugs bothered us. The waitress was friendly and helpful. She recommended the grouper prepared any way. I ordered the nuggets and they were delicious! I also had a bowl of lobster bisque to die for! My husband had a Reuben that he kept remarking on how tasty it was the rest of the day. Next time we are in the area, we DO plan on having another meal there... Almost forgot...it was awesome to walk along the water after dinner and see a few birds up close sitting on the posts and boats anchored in front of the restaurant.
Always worth the stop for the excellent prepared cocktails by Matt the bartender, happy hour with great live entertainment, and delicious appetizers and or entrees served by a friendly staff. One of our favorite spots for a beautiful sunset over the harbor.

This place has it all! Great music, great ambiance, great service (Margarita), and the BEST food in town! I had the snapper with coconut risotto and raspberry sauce and it was SUPERB!
Can't wait to go back!
Delicious dinner at sunset overlooking a cove.
Friendly staff and a beautiful screened in patio for outside dining. Tried several different dishes between family members, & everything was superb.
the menu options are simple to choose from, My family found this place after taking a boat ride with the Adventures in Paradise. Drinks a really good too. Fresh fish and very tasty! All my meals at this restaurant have been plenty and very delicious!
One of the best seafood restaurants I've ever visited.
Services was great the food was worth every penny.
Every thing about this place is 5 star! Our service was great. She was especially patient with us when we changed tables 3 times to get out of the sun. I particularly enjoyed the Parmesan crusted Sea Bass. Just a really nice evening. Very special place to celebrated our 14th Anniversary. We'll definitely be back.
Great food and great service with a nice view. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and then moved to the dining room for a delicious dinner and dessert.
The Creme Brûlée is to die for! Great view, on the waterfront, eat inside or out!
Beautiful location, food was good and service excellent. Prices were appropriate as it was an upscale location, food and service.
Excellent food, price point, and service! Beautiful view from the screened in patio. Shared an amazing flatbread and delicious crab cakes! Give it a try!
Great food and service. Couldn't ask for better service or great food. From appetizers to main course, everything was excellent. Atmosphere on the deck was awesome.
Wow! I made the right choice. Service was outstanding. Apps and entrees impressed. Sit by the water and enjoy. First class. Will return anytime in area.
Excellent service, atmosphere, and food. We enjoyed apps, dinners, desserts, and drinks.... All were superb!!!
It was good but..... The food was good and probably would be considered great if you are not used to fine dining. My mom had the ribs, good, she enjoyed them. I had the Cajun baboon pasta, good flavor but a little too much butter. Hubby had the daily special ny strip, quail, lobster...not a good cut of meat thigh and priced as though it was the best. I had lipstick on my wine glass (not mine) no real apologies just brought back a different glass with a like glass of wine. Dessert was great, 3 people, food, bottle of wine, desserts on Monday night cost €150.00
Best food in fort myers !
A perfect night out. The food was sensational. The chowder was the best I've had in years and the homemade ranch for the salad was tremendous. There were 6 of us for dinner and we all went home happy. Food, service, drinks, and atmosphere were all great. I would highly recommend. Be prepare to pay a little more than usual, but it is definitely worth it.
Great Service. When we went to the lighthouse we had a delightful experience. service was excellent. food was tasteful. view was gorgeous! wouldnt go any place else!!
My favorite waterfront restaurant!. I went to a Women's Wine Club recently at the Lighthouse. It was so much fun! There was around 60 women that attended. We enjoyed a four-course dinner, plus hors d'oeuvres and delicious wine. I must say I left a little tipsy but the food was wonderful. The service was great! The view was just beautiful. I can't wait to go back again with my husband soon.
Just Incredible!!. My wife and I have lived in Fort Myers for 11 years and have never eaten at the Lighthouse. WOW, we are so glad we found this restaurant! There are not very many restaurants that serve escargot in Fort Myers and we must say, the Lighthouse has the best!! It was so nice nice not to be rushed by the waitress. Our plan was to drive downtown afterward but we were more than happy to stay and listen to the wonderful Piano entertainment. We will definitely be back again!!
Here's the deal. Best food and service in Ft Myers. The Bourbon street pasta is just amazing. Then we top that with lava cake. It's better than SEX. If you aren't getting some eat at the LIGHTHOUSE!
Lighthouse Waterfront Rest & Bar. Great location, on top of water off of Vanderbilt Road. Food is good from sandwich to diners and service is always tops.
Nice view, great food, superior service. I was in Ft. Myers all last week, and had three meals a day the whole time I was there (in fact, my goal in life is never to miss one), but the best meal I had last week was at The Lighthouse. I ordered a small Filet Mignon and the Black Tiger Prawns and I can highly recommend this combination. The service was first rate, and the view of the harbor was great. If I lived in Ft. Myers I would eat here once a week.
We took a party of 8 there last night and a great time. The food was great. The menu covered all tastes. We had great service, too. I'd go back today!
Like No Other. Not enough space to explain this restaurant! One night (of Many) we were there we saw poeple coming in off thier boats dressed in shorts, flip-flops and t-shirts eating raw oytsers and chicken wings, while my wife and I were on our honeymoon, me in slacks, shirt and tie and her in a dress and heals having a Cowboy Ribeye with a lobster tail and fresh grilled swordfish... and we all were treated like kings while watching the sun set. Where Else?? Spend a few bucks or 100. Its your choice. The Lighthouse turned out to be a memory of our honeymoon, one we will hold special. Because of that, we will become Lighthouse "regulars" when we are in Ft. Myers.
Lighthouse. This place should be #1 on the list for Fort Myers restaurants. I had the ahi tuna appetizer and the Alaskan king crab legs while watching osprey hunt fish in jonathan harbour. Also the sunset was amazing. Can't wait to go back.
Can't wait to go back. Great friendly service, beutiful atmosphere, spectacular sunset, awesome entertainment, but most of all, the most deliscious meal my guest and i have eaten in this area. we will be back soon.
Awesome!!!!. I spent my anniversary at the Lighthouse and have not enjoyed a night out this much in a very long time. The food was out of this world and the view of the sunset is unbeatable. The service was also as good as it gets! I recommend the Lighthouse to anyone who appreciates great food, fine wine, unbeatable service and outstanding waterfront views!!
Great restaurant with a nice view. We decided to try this for my husband's birthday lunch and really enjoyed everything we had there. The service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is very nice. We will definitely be back!
Great service, yummy food and nice fun environment. Had a meet up an old friend and his soon. Our table was outside overlooking the water. Will go back next time we’re in town.
Food was a bit salty for me. Chilean Sea Bass was a tad over done but Otherwise it was good. Sit outside by water or with a water view because I was able to watch a Dolphin feeding. It was a nice experience. Big place with nice Service. Clean. I would definitely go back. 👍 really good Risotto but again a tad over salted.
Absolutely delicious! Felt very relaxed sitting on the outdoor patio, great views of the water. The food was also perfect, and arrived quickly. The Garlic Parmesan wings had freshly grated parmesan on top which was a great addition. They were flavorful yet not overly garlicky which was greatly appreciated. The dessert was on another level however, we decided to go all out and order the Key Lime Pie and the special dessert for the night which was a crunchy salted caramel cookie sundae. Both were absolutely incredible and the perfect way to start off a relaxing beach trip to Sanibel. Very relaxed and overall amazing experience!
We stopped here upon arriving to the Sanibel area! It is a cosy, fun place to eat! We sat outside on the porch which was screened in. Still some construction going on around it. Excellent food and service. No wait time! Live music. It was awesome!
Hot roast beef dip sandwich- probably the best I’ve ever had! Photo included! And after annoying everyone in my party by taking pictures of their food, I thought I’d post them as well. We decided to stop by here early on our vacation for lunch and we’re so glad we did. We were so impressed by the service and food that on our last day of vacation, we went back there and had lunch again. Our service was great both times except for my son getting an entire tray of water spilled on him. (Accidents Happen)… Too bad it was right before we went to the airport lol. But otherwise the service was great! The food was served, hot and fresh, we always had drinks in our hand, and the live music was a plus! So glad we decided to stop there. Oh, and we also recommend the smoked fish dip as an appetizer!
This is our new favorite SWF spot. ONLY because of Fiona’s hospitality and her mixologist skills. Balanced drinks that are expertly created. We’re from NY and this is a new spot on our list. In fact, we’ve traveled 40 mins on a delay to come see her. 5$ bar food available in the lounge.
Excellent food, wide range of menu items. Service was friendly and prompt. Go early to avoid waiting; no reservations. Noise level very high. We sat in the dining room far away from the bar but the sound travels. Live musicians feel the need to turn up the volume which makes conversation difficult.
We stopped here after leaving Sanibel last Sunday. Nice to see the place open after the horrible hurricane Ian. We got a table with views of the water which was great. Started with the small plate of the poke bowl and the lobster bisque. The poke bowl was huge and delicious! The soup was just average. Very small “bowl” for the pricing. Had the unicorn fish dinners and were very tasty! The waitress said it was a popular dish and everyone loves it. Glad we did! Prices are reasonable and will go back to try more. The outside landscaping does need some attention. There is lack of effort of clean up and making the place appear more presentable. I feel they are ignoring that portion of the business.
Ordered the pan seared grouper and was not disappointed. Prepared to perfection and was served timely. All of the food (party of 7) was excellent, as was the service. A great experience overall!
Best atmosphere and the food was wonderful. Great local restaurant - full size bar, music, large patio overlooking the marina.
Lighthouse waterfront restaurant offers everything. Friendly, attentive service, delicious food at a reasonable price, amazing entertainment, and beautiful views. Don't walk, run there!
We ate lunch at The Lighthouse Waterfront on October 7, 2023. This was our second visit. We had a good experience at the restaurant on our first visit. Today was different. I ordered the Slider Combo. My BBQ Pulled Pork Slider was pretty much on slab of fat. When I told the waiter he said he would show it to the chef. He was never to be seen again. My husband’s Cobb Salad was delicious.
Hurricane Ian was a year ago but from The Lighthouse parking lot it did not seem like any cleanup had been done. The atmosphere in the outside dining area was clean and comfortable.
I really loved it. First time there and was recommended by a friend. They have excellent food. The escargot are my favorite in a very long time. Service was fantastic - helpful and not overbearing. Worth finding!
Ordered the fish dip, lobster risotto with grilled shrimp add-on, and Chilean sea bass - everything was EXCELLENT! Risotto was creamy, not sticky with a full lobster tail. Pesto risotto with the sea bass was not overpowering. Fish dip was good, quite strong flavors in the bread that accompanied the fish dip.
Took the family here for Thanksgiving and the buffet style meal was quite the spread! Looking forward to going back and checking out the everyday menu! The view was great, screened in patio which was awesome! Have to say favorite from the buffet was the seafood mac and cheese, ham and fresh carved turkey! Staff was attentive and polite, pretty sure I didn't see 1 upset staff member or a customer while we were there!!! Great place!
Amazing food and menu you options. Soup and appetizers were delightful. Lobster tail and steak special was magnificent. Save room for desert as well. The creme brulee and salted caramel cookie were great end of the meals treats. We also had a magnificent view of the bay.
The Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar has a very nice view. And an outside deck for seating, screened or unscreened. The food was very good. The seafood was fresh and our server was amazing.
There is also a place to tie up if you are coming by sea.
