What a fantastic addition to our downtown culinary scene! We expected the best because of the owner-partners owning The Hoppy Gnome and Baker Street and the level of service and offerings there are always top-notch, but it's always great to be impressed above and beyond what we expected! The dishes were unique, flavorful, and beautiful. The staff was friendly and provided exemplary service. We will definitely be back to try more!

Had my 1st lunch at Proximo today. Highly recommended! Interesting & varied menu with outstanding & top notch service. A lovely space to eat, chat & enjoy downtown Fort Wayne! They also have outdoor seating which is really nice. The tuna app is to die for! The shrimp sopa was also delish! PS: If you are a lover ceviche, this is THEE place to go! Many different varieties & preparations...
Próximo is a great promising restaurant! I loved the atmosphere and the food. Being Mexican, i know about Mexican flavors and I like the fact that every plate, although Latin inspired, has it’s own delicious touch. I loved the crab chilaquiles and the tortilla soup, and the Rib-Eye was juicy and full of flavor. Finally, the arroz con leche was amazing!
The soft opening service was amazing. The meal was top-notch! I can see my wife and I returning for those special occasions as this place is awesome!! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing dinner.
We had an wonderful dining experience at Proximo! Our waiter was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and prompt.
We started with a lovely bottle of Caymus...perfect right out if the bottle and better after the waiter poured into a decanter for us. We started with the Crab Chilaquiles which were outstanding!!
We had the Chicken Tortilla Soup and the house salad. Both were excellent. For entrees we had the Halibut and the fillet.
Everything was above average and the unique combination of flavors makes for a fun dining experience!
Definitely add Proximo to your list!
Great addition to the downtown scene. Service was great. Menu is a nice change from the norm, so definitely take your time reading over everything. My wife loved the Milk Punch, and I would tell you about the amazing meal I had, but am sure I would spell it wrong. When in doubt do as I do and simply let the staff pick for you. Enjoy!
After having a bad experience walking into another restaurant down the street who “doesn’t serve children.” We came here and had a marvelous breakfast served by an attentive and kind server, of delicious food! **Sweet Pepper Bacon** what!? So good! Thanks for making our morning so much better!
Service was exceptional had atleast 5 different people stop and check on us/wait on us. You dont just have 1 waiter here. Everyone paid attention to us and helped clear plates and refill our drinks. The food was phenomenal. The duck and duck enchiladas were to die for. The chicken tortilla soup was delicious!!! We celebrated our Anniversary there and we will be back!!!

Was privileged to check out the soft open of Proximo last night. The food is Latin inspired, delicious, and beautifully plated. The menu is diverse and filled with must try items. (Shout out to the Sope!) I am so excited to add this new restaurant to my downtown dining options. Kudos to James, Pete, Lysa, and the team on another successful restaurant!
